I called more times than I can count and got nowhere every single time. It wasn't until I finally contacted the corporate office that your location suddenly decided they would allow me to book an appointment. Once I got there, the problems only got worse. I was told I needed a procedure that I had already had done and that I absolutely did not need again. The only thing that made it different this time was that my insurance wouldn't cover it, so of course it came with a nice out-of-pocket price tag. That didn't sit right with me, so I went to another dentist for a second opinion. He confirmed exactly what I suspected -- I did not need their so-called "special" $400 cleaning or the extra treatment they were pushing. I really wish I had paid attention to the reviews before walking into this place, because what happened to me clearly isn't rare. When so many people are saying the same things, it's not bad luck it's how they do business. They have a number of dentist and hygienists on the roster, mainly I've worked with Dr. Ghandi and Dr.Harwood. They're both amazing, and don't make you feel like you're less, because of your teeth. I've been working on my teeth for a few years now, so we know each other well at this point. The office is large and clean, and they use the best of the best and are always getting new equipment. They're kind, gentle, and efficient. If you have to sit in the chair for a bit, they'll happily put on Netflix for you! How lovely, and wonderful ! They were/are in horrible shape and I was never given any positive feedback or hope from any dentist I've ever gone to. The amazing team at Biddeford Saco Dental Associates gave me hope. From day one Dr Brayley and the amazing team there made me feel like my dreams can come true. That I could have a picture perfect smile again. That I could be proud of my smile. The beat part? I never felt judged! Instead it was a "let make it happen attitude". They didn't drag their feet! I met them 1.5 months ago and today I went in to start get caps and bridges on my top teeth. Although what I have now is temporary, until the final product comes in, I'm still in amazement. The best part... the whole team was exited for me! Everyone wanted to see and congratulate me. What is going on there??! It's like walking into the twilight zone. The xray tech didn't adjust the machine properly so it was hitting my shoulders when trying to take the xray. When finished, she told me to step back and the way the machine was lowered down, it caught my two front teeth, like it was going to rip them out. She said "go across the hall to the room". I'm standing there with the xray protection stuff on and was like.. "do you want this stuff back?" And laughed because at this point it felt like a joke. The xray tech was completely without expression the entire time like a failing robot. Then came the dental assistant who repeatedly came back into the room with questions she forgot to ask. She was so condescending and rude. I literally almost walked out during the intake. Completely expressionless and condescending, like I was not worth her time. It's a shame because the doctor, Dr Bradley, was awesome. But after that whole experience, I would never in a million years go back and will tell every one of my twilight-zone experience! Also, I can't wait to get a reply to this like the other one-star reviews, exhibiting a positive, "oh well" attitude, brushing me off and sweeping me under the carpet with all the others. Having never met the endodontists at Oak Hill Endodontics, it was with much trepidation that I…read morerecently went to an appointment with Dr. Stephen Tangredi to whom my dentist had referred me for an evaluation and treatment. I have had root canals in the past without problems. On one such occasion, three years ago, I was referred to an endodontist in the Portland area. At the last minute my appointment was switched by their office from the endodontist my dentist referred me to, to a different endodontist within the same practice. To say he was unprofessional in his manner and aroused a feeling in me that he was not as competent in his skills as I had expected is to say the least. I have since had two friends tell me they had similar experiences with the same endodontist. That appointment left me with severe apprehensions about ever having to go to another endodontist in this area if need should arise. Unfortunately, the need did arise, and my dentist reassured me when she referred me this time to Oak Hill Endodontics that whomever I got an appointment with, either Dr. Tangredi or Dr. Sebow, they would allay my concerns. My appointment was with Dr. Tangredi and from the moment he and his assistant, Sherri, introduced themselves and I explained my concerns I became completely comfortable. They took the time to listen, really LISTEN, and throughout the whole procedure Dr. Tangredi gave me the information and consideration I feel an exceptional professional affords their patients. I also was completely reassured with his professional ability. I realize in today's modern world sometimes we, as patients, must personally decide to put aside our need for "bed-side" compassion and accept certain behaviors to have competent, at least, professional skills. That is not the case if you become a patient of Dr. Tangredi at Oak Hill Endodontics. I found he considers the patient's emotional needs in addition to their endodontic problems.
