And here are a few reasons why: " In mid may I purchased a commercial grade Stihl FS 250 Weed Whacker. They directed me to this higher horsepower trimmer in order to efficiently maintain a new 4 acre property. The "weed whacking" job needed to be done the same day so they expedited the purchase process and provided a hands on " How to Use Demo " in the parking lot. Off I went and around 6 PM I ran into some equipment difficulties regarding the trim line spooling properly. I went both to Stihl's hard copy manual and corporate website to try & fix the machine. I strongly believe companies & store owners must stand behind their product. Therefore at the same time I sent off an email to the two new store owners , who gave me their business cards at time of purchase - nice touch ! At approximately 8PM that same night I received a return email from one of the owners of Seacoast Power taking responsibility, apologizing for my inconvenience and offering some solutions for my equipment problem. I stopped by first thing the next morning and met with the head of their service department where I received a hands on demonstration on how to spool the trim line properly. Net/ net the machine was fine , I needed some more training ! And to end this factual sales and service experience the owner of the store emailed me two days later to make sure all was operating properly. read more

I recently had a problem with my John Deere E170 riding mower, that I bought used a few years ago in a private sale. Reliable, fast and friendly service. I've brought in tools I've purchased from here and from other dealers and they take care of them quickly and professionally. I was in the market for a new string trimmer and they took the time to go over speeds, attachments, and they helped me find the right type for my small company. I recently brought in a pair of gas hedge trimmers and I thought since it's fall that I wouldn't have them back for a while, but I explained what was going on and they were able to adjust the carburetor right there! I read the comments in Yelp for the staff's fine service and professionalism but I doubt they are dealing with the parts manager. I have purchased approximately 15 machines from this company ranging from small and large snow blowers to as well as small and large lawnmowers plus and a generator. Their sales staff, usually the owner, is very well versed in the inventory he carries, is personable and very helpful answering all of my questions and never pressures me into a sale. But the many times I have gone into the facility for parts the parts manager acts like he is doing me a favor. I am not a mechanic but simply a layman who likes to tinker in maintaining the equipment I have confidence working on. The other day I dropped in for tune-up parts for my riding lawnmower and he was working on something which probably could have been completed later as he didn't go back to it when as I left. I waited for approximately 5 minutes before he waited on me. When he finally decided to come to the counter there was no greeting, he read my list of parts and filled the order throwing, not placing each item in a box . When finalizing the transaction [$65] he never looked up or said "thank you". I recommend Seacoast Power Equipment to my friends but do warn them that if they need parts they'll probably get the same service and attitude that I receive. The man should do himself, and the company, a favor change his career path. read more

We had our lawnmower picked up for a spring tune up. We were told that because it was considered a "commercial model" we would be charged about $300 and they would keep it for 3 weeks. My name is Scott Simonds and I live in Hampton NH. I purchased a Husqvarna model 7021P-14 lawn Seacoast Power Equipment in North Hampton NH last fall and have used it less than 10 times. On August 6, 2018 I pulled the cord to start the mower and the cord snapped in two. I brought the mower back to Seacoast Power Equipment in North Hampton to get it fixed. I was charged $48.23 to replace the cord. Although the cord was not under warranty it seemed the repair price was a little much since this was a new mower. I understand that the mechanics need to be paid but thought the store would work with me a little bit since I had recently bought the mower from them not long ago. The owner refused so I am a little discouraged from purchasing other items from them in the future as it seems the customer is not always first at the North Hampton Seacoast Power Equipment Store. read more

I recently had my snow blower "repaired" by Seacoast Power Equipment. After taking it in twice and being charged twice for the same problem, the machine still doesn't work. Not only that, they took no responsibility for their lack of ability to diagnose and fix the problem. Interestingly, after reading the repair manual online, I was able to fix the machine and realized they did not do the work that they charged me for on the repair invoice. The short of it is that you cannot trust Seacoast Power. This is unfortunate as I recently bought a lawn tractor from them. They have now lost all my future business and referrals. I would strongly suggest seeking a different business for your power equipment purchases and repair needs. read more

In November of 2013 I brought my snow blower in for service. When I explained the problem the tech sold me the part then showed me how to fix it. Though this was a very simple fix it would have been easy for the tech to have me drop the snow blower off and charge their standard service fee. Because of their integrity and commitment to their customers I decided to have all my lawn equipment. As of march I had them pick up a riding mower and tiller and still I cant say enough about their customer service. Thumbs up to the new ownership. read more
