Our first time here and, as we wandered slowly down every aisle, we found loads of fun snacks, a big assortment of noodle choices, fresh produce, fish, and (our favorite) the bakery. They also have a good selection of dishware. There's even a restaurant with BBQ meat and lumpia and halo halo for sale. Service was friendly and there were plenty of baskets and carts available. The store was clean with the only smelly area being around the fish. We will return!

Fiiiiiinally made it to Seafood City a couple of months ago and I must say, I liked what I saw! Seafood City is a popular Filipino grocery store chain specializing in fresh seafood and Asian food products. I've been to Seafood City before in other states and while this location is smaller, they offer the same products as their other locations like fresh produce, meats, pantry staples, and fresh seafood. They have the widest variety of international and Filipino grocery items which is AMAZING to finally have all in one place. I had fun going through all the aisles finding familiar and new snacks and products to try out. We picked up some snacks to try, some frozen foods, drinks, and a handful of baked goods from the bakery. We got some pandesal which seemed like it was from earlier that day (we were there pretty late at night). It was good, but probably even better fresh from the oven. I also got some ube flavored treats and enjoyed those over the next few days. All in all, I'm happy that we now have a Seafood City. I love having more options and seeing fun, new products that haven't been easily available in other stores. Often times we'd either have to substitute ingredients or not make dishes at all because we couldn't find the right ingredients, but saw a lot of those products here. The downside is their opening has definitely affected local, small businesses and I already know of one that had to close its doors which is a bummer :(

New Asian shopping options are on Maui in the previous Lowe's Hardware location at the Maui Marketplace. Seafood City has great fresh food selections from cut vegetables to fresh meats and seafood. Great varieties of sundry items like specialty rice. Need just a few items for Sinagang or Pancit, they have it. Looking for a Vietnamese Noodle Soup spice mix? They have a convenient affordable package. Even novel toppings like ground Chicharron. Best of all, small amounts of fish eggs (masago, tobiko) for sushi, it's there. In the freezer section they have an assortment of proteins crab, shrimp and everyone's favorite whole quail, as well as desserts, sauces, and snacks. Besides the slightly disorganized bakery entrance with fresh Sweet Rolls, the most popular feature is the grill; Lots of BBQ meat skewers on rice, pancit and Fried Chicken....and lots of it.

Seafood City Supermarket is my absolute new favorite spot to pick up all things Ube & Matcha. I am seriously like a kid in a candy store. Walking up & down every aisle in search of something purple or green to try. My face literally lights up every time I find something to try. Until next time. XOXO, ChelsieFletcher

Had the day off so finally checked it out. I mostly went to price their items. Love their fish section. Will probably go back tomorrow to buy uhu, akule and menpachi. It was not busy this afternoon and no line for their hot food. We ate beforehand so we werent hungry and only grabbed lumpia. Cashier was super nice and there was a lot of parking. We bought desserts, idako, poke, longanisa, desserts, snacks for the baby, Filipino spaghetti sauce and some other items. Check them out.

Great seafood selection we got blue crab and giant tiger shrimp (bit of a chore to clean and devein but worth it) along with some Asian specialities. Lots of fish. Lots of mollusks. Lots of crustaceans. Prices vary - for example a mini watermelon was so expensive the cashier herself suggested I not buy it. But other foodstuffs like live or fresh not frozen seafood was relatively reasonable. They will clean your seafood for you. Definitely worth checking out.

Went here probably about a month after the grand opening so the crowds had died down more. We went in first for the Grill City hot foods. Expect to wait in line 20+ minutes. They are always cooking plenty of grilled foods that you can see the process. After going past the grill, you can pick your food items. The staff are very friendly and helpful with the ordering process. Prices are a little on the steep side but the quality is good. They are fresh and flavorful. My daughter loved the pork barbecue and I enjoyed the chicken barbecue. Nice flavor with a little sauce brushed on. Neither too fatty. The palabok noodles with shrimp are flavorful but not overpowering. We tried a Halo Halo which was good but the best is still Tante's at Maalaea. Store is large not huge but the selection is overwhelming. They have a lot of personal hygiene products up front (Shampoos, soaps, deodorants) next to the bakery which has tons of Spanish roll and pandesal. Produce area is well tended to by staff. So many selections of things like sausages, tocino, chips, instant noodles, cookies, etc. Fish area in the back has a lot of selection of fish on ice that you can see up close and personal (you take the fish yourself instead of ask someone to get it for you). They had an interesting home goods aisle with things like dishware, cookware, cleaning items, etc. I was surprised by the number of tourists in the store. I think it's quickly becoming labeled as a tourist attraction. They don't offer free paper shopping bags...15 cents apiece. Reusable shopping bags are $3 each and very large and durable. The general consensus is that the prices are steep but for me, they're cheaper than most of the small Filipino stores. It helped me see how much those stores were price gouging. We appreciated the itemized receipts and posted prices on every item. Small stores will need to improve their professionalism in this regard to keep up (fair prices, labeled prices, clear receipts). Seafood City is a well run business. We will be back probably to order some fish. Today we mostly got the hot foods and dry goods. Please return the carts and don't leave them next to cars. There is a cart corral and they have elderly staff collecting the carts. Be good to each other. Aloha

This is the first time I ever been to a Seafood City. Kind of reminded me of a Filipino H-mart. They had a lot of asian products. They also had lot of fresh fish - lots of different species. I went their food court and was overwhelmed on what to get. I decided on the Karekare cause someone told me thats what they like to eat when they eat filipino food. I liked it. It had a unique taste with a chewy texture. I think the next time i want to try the whole grilled squid or some sausage.

We went to Seafood City last night! Boy was it packed with plenty of people! As we entered thru the store we noticed a long line to the left of the store and then we noticed it was for the grilled meats or something along that line. We went to the right and that was the bakery section which they were fully stocked with ube desserts. Then as we were walking they had plenty of produce. We also notice that this Seafood City was a little bit pricey on majority of everything. They had a huge assortment of meats and so many different kinds of seafood. I thought and I was hoping that they sold frozen abalone but I was sad when they didn't have any. We were looking for some yummy snacks but didn't find any appealing to our eyes. Maybe the next time I'm here it will be less crowded and more pleasant to do some grocery shopping. Also we would like to try some of there grilled foods if the line isn't so long!'

    Advertising For $8.50 but it's $9.99

Advertised Halo halo Overload for $8.50 but when you go inside they asking for $9.99 and it will be ready in 5 minutes, they took 8 minutes to finished it. On the shareable Halox2 they need to change the lid, i have to hold the halo2x while driving Service is not good no cashier available on checkout 2 employee pass by and never ask for cashier to help i have to ask a employee if their is a available cashier to help and he respond they will come in, not a friendly employee, until 1 employee in the back on the grill notice line building up and shout for cashier help

9/06-3pcs for $2.49, went back 9/14 and now they put it out as individual for $2.49 they said it was always like that since they open.

Seafood City is an Asian Mart. I liked that Grill City is inside hope they'll add chowking soon too. They have medium soundtrack when you walk in to the store. It's a bit busy since everything is already in the store. Their aisle is just scattered for example they need to fix snacks area in one area, or drinks, or sauces and etc. 9/06-chocolate milk 3pcs for $2.49, went back 9/14 and now they put it out as individual for $2.49 they said it was always like that since they open. Which is a lie since I have a receipt prior to 9/14.

Today was their grand opening (Thursday, August 22, 2024) We stopped by to check it out. It's a decent size supermarket. The Bakeshop, Bakers Ave. has a variety of baked goods and assorted cakes. The opposite side was Grill City. The line was very long.and didn't have time to get something to eat. I'll try the food there next time.

I'd suggest bringing your own bag to pack your groceries, because paying $0.15 for a bag is not worth it.

Ever since then, this is the place I go because it is clean, lots of variety and single mom friendly prices. The have a plethora of fresh fish in large coolers on ice. I've been lucky to come across some fresh Moloka'i prawns here for a reasonable price. They also have a huge inventory of Filipino products from frozen to "fresh". I've gone here for some delicious longanisa, dilis (baby anchovies), vegetables and preserved items. Not to mention the Filipino desserts waiting at the check out counter enticing you to buy some for the drive home. I'm guilty of purchasing cascaron on a stick and wolfing it down as I'm driving out of the parking lot. On my last visit here I also see that they offer Western Union services too! Don't expect too much "friendly" service upon entry. It's really a self service market. But if you do need help finding anything, they'll assist you.

The parking lot was almost full but we managed to find a spot by the front door. Upon entering the store, the grocery section is to the left with a good selection of Filipino food & a produce section. To the right is the take out line & a few tables if you want to dine in. The line was pretty long but it moved fast. There are several friendly ladies behind the counter that quickly served up your plate. Most of the entrees had signs on them. They have such a nice spread to choose from. Prices are reasonable & they don't skimp on the quantity. I had a 2-entree plate for $15.99. 1 entree is $10.99, 3-entree is $19.99. All plates come with rice or pancit, or you can do half & half. I got the half & half with pork adobo & teriyaki chicken. The plate was yummy The pancit had 2 different noodles, the clear & the regular pancit noodles. There was an ample amount of veggies and shiitake mushrooms. The pork adobo had good flavor & well seasoned. Not too many fatty pieces & very tender. It didn't have as much as a vinergry taste but still was good. The teriyaki chicken was well flavored with a little sweetness, not overly dry, tasty as well. There was so much food, it's definitely a shareable plate or leftovers for a couple of days. They also have several soups & the entrees can be purchased a la carte. Overall, this place is worth going to. Don't let the long line fool you. Wow. My husband missed out as he waited in the car, he could have grab all his favorites Filipino goods! I looked around and browsed the grocery products before I get to the hot food/take out selection as I know I will be buying me some foods. What I like about Paradise Supermart is the items are organized, there are tons of products. What I don't like is most items has no prices or sign, even the produce. It will have to be a surprise or ask at the register. The prices are on high side but hey we need Filipino goods no matter the cost. The huge bag of wing bean caught my eyes, never seen them grown so huge before, no prices, when I ask the staff, it was $6.99! Pricey, on Oahu they cost $2-$3 per bag. The hot food selection, wow! This is my favorites! So many selections to choose from and even desserts galore! I got the 1 entree plate to try $9.99, for 2 items = $14.99, the difference in entree choices is $5. kinda steep. I wanted to try the chicken adobo and noodles. If the food is good, I would be back for my Filipino fix on Maui. Also got banana lumpia and a huge piece of the fried pork belly. We ate the food that night when we got back to Oahu and the verdict, chicken thighs were used which chicken wasn't tender, more hard to chew. I never tried adobo in thighs before & missing the adobo sauce, I like to add that to my rice. The noodles were good, I like that it comes with mix of canton and bihon noodles, just how my in-laws would make it. The fried roast pork, I loved! I will be back for more of this fried crispy goodness, I chopped the pork in to pieces and saved in freezer to use in my Sari Sari soup or add to ramen noodles. All in all, despite the chicken adobo, Paradise Supermart is a great place for all your Filipino goods, sweets, grocery stop, here on Maui!! & Oh., BTW if you wanted to enjoy the Filipino foods right away, there are few tables too .
