The skewers as well. Unfortunately I cannot say the same about their lumpia's. The banana lumpia's are now covered in caramel sauce vs naked.

Take for example the longanisa I ordered and took a picture of - I was given 3 pieces but one of them is hard as a rock. The Lechon kawali is also hard as if they were refried. I shouldn't have ordered it but lechon is one of my favorites. The Pansit is too peppery. Some are too dry and some trays are only 1/4 full My husband got freshly made adobo and igado and both were good. Those trays are filled to the brim. Then I ordered Turon and Carioca- and those were awesome and addicting. The people at the store are very nice. I would probably go back if I have to go grocery shopping but if I have to eat, I think I would pass.

It was so good that I'm still thinking about it after coming home. We also tried the pancit noodles, pork sisig, and mochiko chicken, and every dish was excellent. The pancit was packed with flavor, the sisig was gelatinous (fir those who are into it), and the mochiko chicken was crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and impossible to stop eating. For my first visit to Maui and my first time trying Da Soriano Grindz, this food truck set the bar incredibly high. If you're visiting Maui and want amazing Filipino food that's a little different from what you'll find elsewhere, don't skip this spot. The calamansi pork alone is worth the trip.

From chips to chocolates - many of their products remind me of my childhood vacations in the Philippines. They also have a hot food line that feature your typical Filipino dishes like pork n peas, dinakdakan, adobo, chicharon, empanada, lumpia, and more. You can get them in plate lunch style form or containers to serve as entrees. What I really come here for though is the Mais Con Yelo -- the only place I know on island that offers this delectable cool treat. Mais Con Yelo is a layered, Filipino dessert that consists of sweet corn, shaved ice, evaporated milk, leche flan, and a scoop of CORN & CHEESE ice cream. I love corn and cheese ice cream and the whole combo of ice and evaporated milk are SO good! It's similar to a halo halo, but with corn. For whatever reason, the last time I got it, the aunty made it so so good that I can't stop thinking about it and will probably go get more tomorrow. Hahah. Speaking of ice cream, they also have the Magnolia boba ice creams here in various flavors and I really, really like that ice cream. I've only seen it around a few stores here so if you like that, you can find it here too. Check them out sometime!

I went here right after getting off the airport to get some quick comfort food before checking in to my stay in Kīhei and Tagpuan happened to be on the way. I ordered the chicken Inasal and pork lumpia and from those two simple dishes I could tell that this place was legit. IMO that inasal's definitely better than Mang Inasal back in PI and much better than the Inasal I've had in the Bay Area so hopefully that hypes it up enough. Kept coming back almost every single day till I left to go back to the mainland. In that time I also had the grilled liempo (pork belly), crispy pork belly, and longanisa sliders - all excellent dishes. Really love the sauce selections they use for their dishes too - pretty good balance of acid to cut the fat making the dishes feel not too heavy. The food truck is currently nestled in what seems to be an auto shop lot. There's a nice clean bathroom access via the auto shop near the food truck itself. Lots of parking, a few benches to eat at, and of course, really good food. The couple that run Tagpuan are incredibly kind and hard working people. Would highly recommend - not only to support a local business owner (who's from Lāhainā) but because they serve genuinely good and authentic Filipino food.

What I like about Paradise Supermart is the items are organized, there are tons of products. What I don't like is most items has no prices or sign, even the produce. It will have to be a surprise or ask at the register. The prices are on high side but hey we need Filipino goods no matter the cost. The huge bag of wing bean caught my eyes, never seen them grown so huge before, no prices, when I ask the staff, it was $6.99! Pricey, on Oahu they cost $2-$3 per bag. The hot food selection, wow! This is my favorites! So many selections to choose from and even desserts galore! I got the 1 entree plate to try $9.99, for 2 items = $14.99, the difference in entree choices is $5. kinda steep. I wanted to try the chicken adobo and noodles. If the food is good, I would be back for my Filipino fix on Maui. Also got banana lumpia and a huge piece of the fried pork belly. We ate the food that night when we got back to Oahu and the verdict, chicken thighs were used which chicken wasn't tender, more hard to chew.
