I want smoked taste; that is the essence of BBQ. The chicken was also delicious. This is real BBQ. Who am I to declare? Born is San Antonio,Texas. Have eaten Texas BBQ all my life all over the Lone Star State. This, and Carolinas, are the epicenters of BBQ. This place combines both styles. Their BBQ is not hurried or commercialized. You find this style of BBQ a lot on the West Coast of Florida, where small places produce excellent CLASSIC BBQ. The sides were very good. The people are very friendly and competent. This is not a fancy place but just real, honest BBQ that is done well and with love. Now, there is another review on here that is very negative. His rambling, incoherent, urban-effete style carpings do nothing to add to the focus on the food. The smokey flavor on the ribs is just the opposite of what he describes. Regarding Jenkins, I gave it up long ago. There is no love for what they do. I was given BBQ that was refrigerated in aluminum foil-made earlier. The ribs were dry and too lightly smoked. And the surly service, I note the finely tuned masochism urbane sophisticate appreciation or the verbose reviewer's fine appreciation for absorbing insults and animus from a service that he pays for. "It's sort of understood that the workers at a genuine BBQ place will be surly and grouchy (you know the ribs have got to be good if the employees are unpleasant, right? I mean, go check out Tom Jenkins and you'll know what I mean..)" The style of writing comes from an urban sequestered mentality of brouhaha and BS. Give me the smoke, not the dope.

I ordered the snow crab tub and it was SO good. It came with snow crab legs, shrimp, corn, potatoes, sausage, and a boiled egg--all perfectly cooked and full of flavor. I chose the garlic butter Cajun fusion, and it was the perfect blend of rich, buttery goodness with a nice kick of seasoning. Everything was fresh, well-seasoned, and satisfying. Between the delicious food and the fun comedy night atmosphere, this spot really stands out. I'll definitely be back and look forward to trying more items on the menu!

I ordered the trio with lobster tails, shrimp, and conch. Then I added an extra lobster tail, 10 more shrimp, and fries. My total came out to around $80. I waited. And waited. And yes... waited some more. After watching several people come and go, I asked the lady at the front if my order was ready. She told me no. So I sat back down and continued waiting. A while later, I went back and asked again. Come to find out, my food had been sitting on the counter the entire time since the first time I asked. Surprise! By then, my $80 meal was cold, soggy, and disappointing. Did they offer to remake anything fresh? Nope. They were about to close. To make matters worse, the food was bland. There was very little seasoning, and the sauce they give you that's supposed to save the day didn't save anything. I waited nearly two hours for food that wasn't hot, wasn't flavorful, and definitely wasn't worth the price. Now, I know $80 may not be a lot to some people, but if I'm spending my money, I expect to leave full, satisfied, and feeling like it was worth it. I left feeling none of those things. Would I recommend it? Absolutely not.

Proceeded to make other drinks and then poured a lot of tap water and a lil lemon concentrate into a glass with a sugar mix. $9.56 later I got my horrible 12 oz drink after waiting so long and watching the rude bar tender not give two hoots about her clientele. We were there just the other day, Sunday, for the Vikes game. We didn't get a chance to eat before we went so the plan was to grab a bite there. My daughter picked a couple things and my gal added the mozzarella sticks. We went out to the truck for the order. Probably less than 10 minutes later our guy from the truck was in delivering the food right to our table. He realized he forgot one sauce, and before you could say buffalo he was back with the hot sauce. Everything was great. He makes great fries, I didn't even add salt like I would normally. The chicken tenders were solid, as were the cheese sticks. They both seemed hand breaded. If they were out of a box then he did an amazing job making em chunky and crispy. We got the basic items, most of the menu is made for people at a bar. I do want to try the fried rice or hibachi burrito next time.
