Made reservations for dinner on a Friday evening at this restaurant. Some last minute issues happened and had to postpone the reservation to one hour later. When ordering the menu items, there was a special $288 set dinner that included Peking duck, and other items. When we got there they said sorry they sold out of Peking duck. I told them I made reservations for the $288 set menu special for an hour earlier. Spoke to the manager and magically they had Peking duck available again. Not sure what's going on, but could be a bait and switch trying to get folks to come to the restaurant for this special but pretend they are sold out of Peking duck so then folks would have to spend more money. The food overall was decent, nice dining environment with many private rooms that can accommodate up to 30 people but for private rooms there's a minimum spend of $1000 for the smallest room that can accommodate ten people. I only visited this restaurant and can only comment on the dinner portion. Service was ok, wished they were more attentive with switching plates once it was super full of lobster shells and when they got dirty. read more

Upscale dim sum at a fraction of the cost. I recently revisited Seafood Princess for a third time and had another decent time enjoying their early bird dim sum between 9-11am daily. It's $6.95 for all of their large, medium & small items which typically range $1-2 more on their standard menu. The value here is the atmosphere and relatively attentive and friendly service. The restaurant interior is still clean and impressive at this polished establishment, this time in celebration of Chinese New Year. Tea arrived shortly thereafter and I totally forgot they charged $3pp which is a bit excessive for 4 people. But the siu mai and har gow dumplings here are worth it, as both are huge and plump loaded with shrimp filling. We also had their pear-shaped deep-fried truffle berry buns & HK-style eel with cheese buns, unique to this dim sum spot. This time we added the beef rice rolls, egg tarts and taro puff dumplings as well to round out a typical dim sum meal. All-in-all we were filled very quickly for four people, especially as we ordered the congee with spare ribs, dried fish & peanuts. Skip it or hit it? 3.5 Came here for dim sum with a big group of friends and the tables were pretty spacious and not jam packed. They had a giant TV going on in our room. They had a lot of staff walking around and working and overall quite attentive with our refills of water and ordering. With our initial order we got egg tarts. However it wasn't until the end of our meal and way after we did our second round of ordering and chasing down staff did they inform us that egg tarts were sold out (around noon time now on a weekend). We were shocked because all the tables around us who were seated after got their egg tarts. And their attitude was also kinda like you will never get them because they are sold out and the server knew that when they punched jt in at time of ordering. But why were we not told until we chased them down for it?! As well, check the receipt as we had a baby at our table and they charged the baby a tea fee. The manager who gave us the receipt was like this is wrong when we pointed it out and quickly amended the bill. Came here last night to celebrate my mom's birthday. We had the $338 combo which came with lobster, crab and fish. Everything was fabulous! We usually go to Yu Seafood but thought we'd switch things up! We added the braised pork belly for $10 promo price! If paying cash for dinner the also throw in a dozen oysters for free. The crab in salted egg yolk was different and very tasty! We got the lob steak steamed with garlic and vermicelli. The sweet and sour pork really stood out with its crispiness! The fish was undercooked so they took it back to re-steam but it came out overdone as expected. Their dessert of matcha pudding was a tasty surprise! A new Chinese restaurant that serves both dim sum at lunch and dinner. It's mostly private room dining even when it's for dim sum lunch. I made a reso for dim sum lunch and was placed in a room with two other smaller tables. Our table had the automatic lazy susan, which has buttons all around the table for you to stop the automatic spinning when you want to grab food. It's a fancy restaurant and the service was impeccable. Food here was also so good for lunch with some stand out dishes like deep fried shrimp rolls topped with fish eggs, steamed pork ribs, chicken feet, clay pot tripe, and more. I can't wait to come back to try their other dim sum dishes. Dinner on the other hand was just as good, but their set menus and XL dishes that were sure to impress! The service for dinner was also great and dishes were innovative, creative, and delicious. We got things like the abalone fish maw soup, appetizer cold dishes, sashimi platter, lobster with steamed egg white, steamed eel, crab, and more. Ended up to be about $50 a person. The food was unique, especially their Cajun Lobster Rice Roll. I am not sure if they sell this item as an a la carte, but it was part of the $150 lunch set. I came here for dim sum with my mom and my boyfriend over the weekend. We had a noon reservation for 3, but still ended up waiting a bit before they sat us. Instead of the main dining area, we were brought down to the basement (yes... the basement). It's this huge open space with one massive table in the middle that could probably fit 30 people, plus a few smaller ones around the edges. There's even a karaoke setup, a random sofa area that looks like a living room, and one shared private washroom. Definitely not your usual dim sum vibe. What's interesting is this place isn't set up like most Chinese dim sum restaurants where it's one giant banquet hall with tables scattered everywhere. Seafood Princess actually has individual rooms with just a few tables in each, so it feels more private. In our case, though, we got the basement hall experience. We ordered 8 dishes total (7 dim sum + 1 beef fried noodle). Prices ran from $6.95-$13.95, with tea at $3/person. Definitely more expensive than most dim sum spots, but I'd say the quality makes up for it. The best dishes hands down were the siu mai and har gao... big, juicy, and loaded with whole shrimp (not the chopped up kind). Every bite was super fresh and bouncy. The one thing we didn't care for was the "recommended" cheese with eel bun. The mix of mayo, cheese, and eel was just way too salty and heavy for us. Service was pretty solid overall. Even though we were tucked away downstairs, there was always a waitress nearby keeping an eye on things, so food came out quick and we never had trouble getting help. Not your average dim sum. Amazing lobster lunch deal and we added on the wagyu fried rice. Everything was delicious, fresh and perfectly cooked. Service was a little lacking even though there's not many tables and a lot of staff. There's early bird where (S, M,L) are all 6.95. Tea money is $3.00. Even if you walk in early you might not get an early bird seating as reservations were allowed. Spacing is a big issue, i don't recommend it for those with wheel chair or strollers especially for the main dining area. Maybe the private rooms are a better option to book. Service was slow depending on the server. We asked for some mustard and chili sauce twice but it never came, other tables had the same issue. Portions are smaller than other places, the dimsum selection is not that big. This is not the typical dim sum place. They offer unique dim sum items that you don't normally see at chinese restaurants. We tried the seafood lunch special combo for 2 at $98 which includes: -Cajun sauce in dried shrimp rice rolls with steamed lobster in fried garlic -Stew soups x2 -Dried scallops seafood cucumber lobster clas congee + Fried dough (dipping in congee) -Salted Yu Choy (aka Choy Sum) with ginger -Your choice of any 3 dim sums (includes special high priced dim sum items) The garlic lobsters were so fresh and textures was bouncy. You can taste the saltiness from the sea which tells you how fresh and umami they are. The dried shrimp rice rolls were chewy and cooked perfectly. It adds a hint of saltness and flavour with the dried shrimps in the rice rolls. The congee was delicious. They weren't watery and the congee thickness was just right. Stew soups were sweet, clean and packed with meat juice in every sip. The sweetness from the carrots in the soup is a good balance to the flavour. The dim sums were amazing. I chose the signature Abalone puff pastry, seafood rolls with black caviar and avocado & eel rolls. My top pick is definetly the seafood rolls and avocado & eel rolls. The eel was soft and tender with a terriyanki sauce marinate. Seafood rolls had lots of shrimps and crab meat in every bite. Must order. This dim sum restaurant has great food but absolutely awful layout. They've divided what could have been a big open space into a cramped restaurant by making most of the restaurant into massive private rooms, and maybe just 1/4 of the restaurant for smaller tables. The space is sooo cramped with staff squeezing between chairs and tables, constantly lifting chairs over patrons' heads because they kept fitting larger groups at tables that are too small. They seem to want to have a high end establishment but when you see staff bringing out plastic red stools for patrons, it really is not high end at all. There is only one massive unisex washroom for the restaurant but it's a joke because you could have fit 3 stalls within this single bathroom. Apparently the private rooms have a bathroom but you can't really access them when there are people in the room. The food is actually quite good and worth trying if you come here for early tea. The menu is relatively smaller than other places. I recommend the bean curd dish and sticky rice roll. That said, because of their layout, your food has to cross the waiting area and you could see servers with open food shuffle through a crowd of people coughing and sneezing. They should at least use a cloche to cover the food. The wait becomes excessive not because there's that many people but is because of the restaurant's own poor design. No reservations for 4 people. Traditional Chinese fine dining. Newly renovated. Instead of a big open area which is usually how Chinese restaurants are laid out. There are many large rooms that can fit 4-5 tables with a big karaoke screen. We ordered a set dinner which comes with shark fins soup, lobster, wagyu beef etc. Taste overall is on the blander side I feel and food is served at room temperature but I like my food hot and fresh. The wasabi spinach cold dish really has a kick to it. Tasted like it was soaked in wasabi for a little too long. I am not sure if anyone can eat that... 5 stars all the way. I think I'm the first to review this new Chinese restaurant as 5 stars. That's great I'll break the mould. First off everything, I mean everything we ordered was amazingly done. There were 6 of us and we ordered the set lobster lunch combo for 6-8 people for $298 + $18 tea and our bill came to $357 and change. We also reserved a private room with a dedicated server. (This is a must try, we were the only group in the private room away from the noise and hustle of the regular dining room) That being said, the real star of the show was the food. Like I said each and every dish tasted phenomenal and was presented exquisitely. It was just the right portion size and the 6 of us could not finish all of it. Rest assured I will or we will be back again for more. If you are looking for great food, great service, great ambiance (get private room) then look no further and try Seafood Princess I definitely recommend it. At Seafood Princess, the dining room only have approximately 10 tables. As this smaller party waited, they added an extra table so that party don't have to wait too long. I think Seafood Princess's main focus are private rooms, the small room the minimum for dining is approx $1000 for 10-12 people. In terms of the dim sum, small $6.95, medium $7.95, large $8.95, XL $9.95, SP $13.50 Tea per person $3 For special dim sum, it's from 9:00am -11:00am for a flat rate of $6.95 for small, medium and large (except holidays) The dim sum is a little slower coming out in terms of the service, but I think it's because it's still new. The beef balls are big and so is the har gwa. Everything is nice and big compared to other dim sum places. They play kareoke music on the TV during dim sum time so it's kind of cool and relaxing. The service and hostess are horrendous! First off I came early and got a ticket for a table. My number was not being called but skipped instead. While others without reservation came after me and got a ticket plus got seating within 5 minutes. The hostess call other number with the same amount of people booked for a table. We made an issue about that. Secondly, after getting seating we had to ask for tea 3 x. We ordered dim sum and it was the worst we had ever! We will never come back! Seafood princess opened up in the old location that used to be landmark. The restaurant was busy when we arrived. Thankfully we had an appointment and was promptly seated. Tried this new fine dining Chinese restaurant. They're still new but it was pretty disappointing for what you're paying and for a fine dining. English description is incorrect. We ordered E-Fu with crab meat and fish maw. It came without crab, but instead shrimp which wasn't listed and apparently a mistranslation from the Cantonese name. You have to rely on the side chilli oil and vinegar to get some taste because there was no flavor to the dish at all. We got lobster with black truffle and there were barely truffle flavor. Our 2.5lb lobster was actually 2 lobsters so it was mostly shell. Fried Rice with wagyu and foie was a little better coz you can taste the foie and wok hei but still little flavor/seasoning as a fried rice. Only the roasted pigeon was perfect. We ended up there for 3 hours for just 4 dishes. 2nd dish didn't come out until an hr after. Each dish was served one at a time. The table service was very nice though. read more

Food is pretty good, not oily and minimal salt but by no means was it flavourless. There is a bit of wait once you get there and if you get a parking spot. Their dim sum are good and portions do run average (eg just enough and not goo much like other chinese restaurants. Style is very fusion in both food and restaurant layout. We, a group of 3 who visited on a Saturday morning was able to get a seat after 15 mins of wait. We were sat in one of the larger dining rooms with in room private washroom (meant for large private parties) which had 2 small tables on the side (which seems a little awkward). The staff were mostly mandarin speaking so conversing in cantonese or english may get a bit tricky. Menu is very well designed to allow trying out their main dishes as well as a dim sum selection of your choice. We tried their lobster and Green Bass set menu for 4 which had a fried lobster, fried fish, congee, veg and dim sum selection. Overall ok but lavish playing took up a lot of table space so eat fast! Also, they were attentive to the point of over attentive always changing plates and topping up tea pot while patrons are mid eating which can feel a little intrusive if you are at mid bite. No dessert at the end unless you had ordered as part or dim sum. We got Chrysanthemum and oolong tea mix which came out strong but no Chrysanthemum flavour. All in all, value was ok for the selection and portion. Flavour good and light but would recommend a tiny bit extra salt or soy sauce to dip into for those who like bolder flavours. We came here on Mother's Day weekend for their lunch special. $92 for 2.5 lbs of lobster spread across a variety of dishes: - truffle lobster soup (so good my kid fought me for another bowl and we caved. $18 a bowl on its own) - steamed lobster on rice rolls ( made well, rice cake could use more seasoning) - lobster and sea cucumber congee ( tasted great but don't look for the sea cucumber) - 3 dim sum dishes of your choice ( eel cheese bun, mushroom dumplings, and I forget the last dish but they were all "luxury" level dim sum and all tasted quite good. We went there for dinner tonight! They serve us soup, cold appetizers and the first course all at once. I told the captain to hold off the rest of the courses. The Bhudda jump over the wall soup was so so with the smallest abalone I've ever seen. The soup tasted overwhelming with Chinese ham ! Then came the veggie dish and then the lobster dish. We paid over $200 for the meal n they gave us 2 of 1 lb each lobster. The menu said 2.5 lb lobster n how could they serve us such a small lobster!
