    Fish (cod) and chips

Shoutout to Seafresh for serving some incredibly fresh seafood in Pimlico! Coming off anevening flight, I was excited to find this was a close walk from my hotel (and a number of hotels in the area). Seafresh is divided into two parts: a sit down restaurant and a fresh fish market section where you can also order food. Since we were in search of quick bite, we ended up ordering from the market section which also featured cheaper prices! The one caveat is there is only a small amount of seating, but no problem as most people are there for takeout orders. When the food came out, I was shocked how large the cod filet was! It almost eclipsed the entire plate! It came out hot and crisp while the inside was nice and flaky. The seafood soup was also piping hot and had a nice mix of fresh seafood. Definitely stop by if you're craving some fish and chips or other seafood! The staff was incredibly friendly and hustled to get orders out quickly!

Amazing food, ambience, and service. Tyra is an absolute gem and made the dining experience unforgettable. I came with my wife, and my daughters (7,17) and we had the seafood linguine, fish and chips, falafel, and grilled king prawns. They were prepared and cooked to perfection. We have been here for three nights and have eaten here twice, and will likely be here again once or twice before we leave in five days. Highly recommended for anyone who enjoys great food, and fantastic service. I would give 6 stars if I could.

The place was so cute and simple. The staff was really kind and friendly. Unfortunately the only item I can review is the fish and chips- cod because that was what all of us ordered!! Delicious and really good. I am not sure, but there was an extra charge for convenience fee, but I thought maybe just an automatic tip?? Not cheap, but good!!

We wanted a quick bite since we just arrived in town. The staff was very friendly and helpful and it wasn't too busy inside. The restaurant was very nice and clean. We had their fish and chips and grilled calamari. The fish tasted very fresh and was very crispy. The chips were a little bit soft. And the mushy peas were okay to taste. The grilled calamari had a very light flavor but tasted great with the squeezed lemon and fresh Thai chili. Overall, their seafood tasted fresh and was pretty good!

Spent 3 days in Pimlico and ate at Seafresh everyday. Generous portion of fish and chips which were delicious in taste, most of all enjoyed the pleasant atmosphere and excellent service provided by Martha.

Voted number one fish and chips in the area, so decided to try while visiting the UK. Definitely recommend the fish and chips look at the size of fish they give you. Was traveling with a vegan eater, the restaurant was able to accommodate with a veggie burger and chips. Well talking to the staff, was suggested try the seafood soup which was delicious. The fish artwork on the walls was interesting to look at while waiting for a food. The wc was clean and well kept, only issue would be upstairs but no issue if you are ambulatory.

The service is so friendly here! But the food is just okay. The scallops and prawns were a little over cooked. But the skate fish was good! The seafood chowder was not what we were expecting at all. We thought we were getting something similar to clam chowder. This was more of a broth with a bunch of seafood.

I loved the food and the Ambiance. Great service too. It was a nice space to eat, talk and enjoy the dining experience!

AWESOME service! The workers there were too generous and they offered free gravy without extra charge and plenty of extra tartar sauce when asked! The mashed potatoes there were amazing and they tasted so soft and warm. The seafood was really good, you can't go wrong with Fish and Chips, and it can be a lot bigger than expected on a plate. Overall, food was good, service was better. It can be pricy but it's seafood!

    Cod and Haddock. Mushy pees.

(I heard the non GF version was also excellent.) Platter came with flavorful mushy peas, tartar sauce, and a spicy mayo (or currry for the non GF platter). Chips were large and delicious. Portion was huge, and easily shareable. Delicious!! Service: It was ok. We waited in line for a really long time (more than an hour) but we were checked on from time to time. Once we were seated and ordered, no one really checked in, but we asked if we needed something. Ambiance: Cute outdoor seating. In door seating was okay. Reservations get to go into a back room which seemed nicer. Lovely side street in a crazy busy popular area. It's a solid 4.5 stars for what it is because the food was so good. I'd return. Tip: Make a reservation a couple of weeks in advance, or be prepared to wait...a long time...Or, skip the line to order takeaway and go enjoy your food!

We were told to wait in the lobby for a table, but there weren't enough seats available, so several of us ended up standing around awkwardly. Once seated, the restaurant was extremely loud. It made conversation difficult, and I definitely wouldn't recommend it as a date-night spot unless you're comfortable raising your voice just to hear each other. The lighting was also surprisingly dim--I could barely read the menu without using my phone light. Unfortunately, our seating situation didn't help either. We were placed next to a large family party with two children running around and playing on the bench seating. They repeatedly kicked my dad by accident, and after several incidents I finally had to ask them to stop myself. What was frustrating was that the parents never seemed to intervene. As for the food, there were definitely some highlights. The beef tartare was excellent--fresh, flavorful, and the egg on top tied everything together nicely. They served it with four slices of bread, though I personally think chips or crostini would have complemented it better. The duck salad, on the other hand, wasn't for me. It had a strange sweet-and-savory fusion flavor that reminded me of fruit-flavored duck jerky mixed into a salad. For the mains, the Shepherd's Pie was decent. The flavors were good, though nothing particularly memorable, but the presentation was impressive. The standout dish of the night was the teriyaki salmon. It was cooked perfectly, moist, and packed with flavor. We also ordered the scallop and scampi linguine. The sauce was enjoyable, but the pasta itself didn't seem freshly made and lacked the al dente texture I was expecting. Overall, the food ranged from good to very good, especially the salmon and beef tartare, but the noisy atmosphere, poor lighting, and seating experience took away from what could have been a much more enjoyable meal.

Tip: You must visit this food hall. It's awesome!…read more You know what? When there's a listing for a department store food hall, you know that it's good. No, not good. Fantastic! I was at this food hall in December 2013. It's located on the ground floor of this large department store. The displays are extremely fancy and captivating. I recall seeing mini cakes that looked yummy. Even the fruit in the display case, as in apples, pears, and more, looked amazing and in pristine condition. The pastries looked scrumptious. I could smell the croissants! You can get sandwiches, from egg salad to lobster rolls. Feel like steak and chips? Yep, you can get them here, too. I frankly couldn't tell you what you can't get here. I felt like a dream seeing so much good food, but it wasn't. It's definitely worth a visit, whether you end up browsing like me because the prices were steep or you end up splurging. There was a wine section that had shiny bottles of fancy wine varieties. You could get cheese to complement your wine. Everything in this store looked beautiful and elegant. I would do a few things differently when I return to this food hall: - I'd do afternoon tea. I'd actually splurge to experience tea here because I didn't realize that I could until after my Harrods visit. - I'd find a hotel room with a fridge, so I could bring back pastries, macarons, sandwiches, and more. - I'd dine here to experience the entire food hall experience instead of dining at a restaurant within Harrods. The more I reminisce about where I've been in London, I want to return! (55)

(We bought one with cucumber and one with bright pink dragon fruit.) For two sandwiches and two bottles of water, it came to £28.50. Not particularly inexpensive with the currency conversion (ouch!) but much cheaper than going out for lunch. Also, the sandwiches were delicious! It's a shame that we couldn't find the food hall when we had first visited Harrods two days prior. [Yelp collections: Europe 2024; London, England]
