He discovered a cavity that needed attention that was overlooked by that office. They were able to get me in quickly for a deep cleaning appt and fill the cavity at the same time, to utilize half of the numbing agent. I like his demeanor and how my options were presented to me. The office environment was pleasant. His hygenist appeared to be thorough. I was told by a periodontist that they could perform a "laser cleaning" at the cost of $5,000. Knowing that bone loss can't be reversed, not sure how a laser cleaning could be justified. Sometimes you have to make decisions that just make sense based on your age, your finances and the long term goal. So even though the cost may somtimes be out of pocket, if you don't like your dentist, CONSIDER YOUR ALTERNATIVES AND GET SECOND OPINIONS WHENEVER YOU CAN.

They are adding certain procedures to your bill that are not covered by the insurance with no prior notification. Also, when providing them clearly via email the new insurance cards we were told that we are in network with the exact same coverage. Yet, we were billed for over $500 after the cleaning and exam. They are not owning their own mistakes no matter how much you talk to them. We called and checked after emailing the new cards and were assured that we are all set. They can reply all they want to this review, they were wrong, and they are wrongfully billing customers for extra financial gains. This office has my only negative review I write in my life, and it is well deserved. Shame on them!

I set an…read moreappointment to get my teeth cleaned as a NEW patient (new to area/in network provider for general dentistry) with an initial evaluation, some x-rays -ALL confirmed fully covered by my insurance company. My experience was ridiculous . I spent 30 minutes of them taking some x-rays and a doctor coming and talking to me about how my bite needed to be fixed, teeth recession, poking on my gum line with a sharp instrument -now red & inflamed. He made multiple recommendations for stuff over the next few years. They said they do not clean teeth day 1. Once I proceeded to the front desk to schedule 1 of my 2 annual cleanings. I was taken into a back office to discuss my next visit and fees. As if I was buying a car or trying to negotiate some type of private contract, it was very odd. They told me come back for SPECIAL Cleaning 1st to pay out of pocket before I can use routine cleaning the insurance would cover. Interesting they could look in my dirty mouth and say I had no cavities, and I just had my teeth cleaned eight months ago. I ate my breakfast and my lunch and I'm sure I had stuff on my teeth. Hence, the reason you go and get your teeth cleaned to then get a treatment plan. I was dumbfounded to find out they will not do a routine cleaning unless I pay $100 minimum special cleaning plus other fees to become a new patient and get cleaning, and service for another appointment. Once I left their office, I called my insurance company to give them billing codes. Apparently these are periodontist codes for somebody who typically has gingivitis and it's not a normal practice for a 1st visit, and without a cleaning at all to view teeth. Needless to say I will not be back to their office. Sounds like they are just wanting to collect money to proceed with doing anything and then I'm sure they're going to find fimore things that they will bill you for. Their approach was awful and as a matter of fact the insurance company said they never heard that somebody goes to a dentist and they don't routine clean your teeth before they make all of these recommendations. No wonder after reading multiple reviews I see others have the same issue. It's Sketchy!!!!
