THE GOOD ---------------- + The food and, more specifically, seafood was AMAZINGLY fresh and delicious!!! ++++ Grilled Octopus appetizer with lemon garlic butter was to die for. Octopus was soooooooo tender and the restaurant's signature lemon garlic butter was a perfect compliment to it. ++++ Surf and Turf was, once again, PERFFFFFECT. Order came with a (hugeeee) 12 oz. ribeye and 10 oz. lobster tail. Both were as good as it gets anywhere. ++++ Branzino with rice and fries was excellent! The branzino was extremely bony, as you would expect, but the fish meat was sooooooo good. Rice was very flavorful and the fries were some of the crispiest I've EVER had. ++++ Mint Lemonade was absolutely refreshing. One of the best refresher drinks we've ever had anywhere. + Spacious and bright interior. Bright blue and white walls and floors make you feel like you're actually in the Mediterranean. + Parking lot is right outside of the restaurant and there are 8 spots in total, but it's on a steep slope that leads up to the restaurant entrance. THE NOT SO GOOD ---------------------------- - The waiter was very, verrrry nice, but, for some odd reason, the side of rice for the Branzino came out 30 minutes after the Branzino arrived on the table!!!! This is not an exaggeration. The waiter kept promising it was coming out soon, but it just took longer and longer and longer to arrive till I was already done with my entree. - The restaurant automatically added a service charge of 15% for just the 2 of us. Typically, you see this for large parties, NOT for parties of 2. With that said, we were a bit surprised it was only 15% though considering 18% seems like the minimum these days. MIXED THOUGHTS --------------------------- = Nada. RANDOM OBSERVATIONS -------------------------------------- = Dined here on an early Monday afternoon from 12:15 - 1:45 and only when we were leaving did another party finnnnaaaalllly come in. These days not many restaurants have any identity. So it is a breath of fresh air when a restaurant makes food unapologetically. We had a wonderful fresh fish, smoky baba ghanoush and a nice shrimp Alexandria Service was good, but some things did not work well, ie getting change as well as under staffed, but it was an odd time if day, so may be understandable. Decor is fun and fancy free and quite romantic too. It's Florida, Nice, or Casablanca even. One suggestion I would make would be too have off-site Valet parking as the parking lot for the whole shopping center is quite small. read more

Not sure what the praise for this place is about. The food is good but not great. But what made the visit not worth coming back for was the service. We visited when it was empty. Asked a few quotations about the menu, the server was not very helpful, referring to the menu about the dishes. The food was slow too come out and the server never came out of the back to check on us. Then he decides he deserved an automatic 20% gratuity for himself. read more

The food is really good, and very good portions. For a seafood place the prices aren't bad.

The Egyptian shrimp appetizer was 6 head on, split shelled nicely sized shrimp. Sautéed in onion and delicious red peppers. Perfectly cooked and the sauce was perfect for scooping up with the fresh bread that was served with a nice little dish of olives when first sat down. Eggplant appetizer was grilled with a spice medley that beautifully enhanced the caramelization. It was vegetable preparation at its best. We had 2 whole fish entrees. A Dorado and Branzino. Both incredibly fresh and straight from the ice case that you can view and inspect on your way in. First preparation was an Egyptian style blackened rub. Very flavorful and cooked with precision. Crispy skinned and moist flaky inside. The second was also grilled with a topping in a similar manner to the sauce the shrimp appetizer was served in. Also very well executed. Service was welcoming and warm. The chef/waiter was beyond helpful and we appreciated his help with our selections. Absolutely worth the trip. We will return and you should make this a priority to try if you haven't already. read more

I absolutely loved my experience dining at this Egyptian seafood restaurant! Found it on instagram in a reel. From the delightful dishes to the outstanding service, every moment was a pleasure. It's an amazing place, fish is so fresh, tasty dishes , try bronzini fish with lemon on the grill, butter fly shrimp, seafood brown rice, fried calamari. All were amazingly delicious and finish up with peppermint lemon juice and hot tea with fresh mint . Ambience is nice. They have a whole seaside vibe going on Service was a bit slow- on a Tuesday with only two customers there. After waiting a while and waiting, we ordered and the food finally came. As you can imagine it wasn't a great start to our meal. Food came and it was very tasty- all was going well until a tiny hair was found in a fish. The waiter took the dish to the owner and he came over and offered to take that fish off our bill, replace it for free and gave us 20% off our overall bill. Sometimes I've had a similar experience at a restaurant and the owner does nothing to make up for the incident so I was pleasantly happy with this situation. Visited for our anniversary dinner and took a chance, but it was very delicious. Everything was very fresh and piping hot. We started complementary bread and olives, fried calamari, and fried shrimp and then we each got one red snapper fried and grilled branzino. If you're looking for authentic Alexandrian-Egyptian flavors then you've found the spot. I'm so glad I no longer have to go all the way to Astoria to get a taste of Alexandria. Everything here from the food to the decor, the service was excellent. I came for the Ramadan buffet. As soon as you enter you're greeted and made to feel like you're entering a family member's home. Waitstaff is going around giving water and dates for everyone to break their fast. Egyptian folk music is playing in the background. The whole experience really transports you to Egypt . The decor was creatively designed. There are fishnets and seashells and palm trees tucked in corners and hanging from the ceiling. Now the food- the star of the show. Everything was so flavorful- from the grilled butterfly shrimp to the seafood paella. There were so many options to satisfy every pallet. Unlimited drinks, salads, dips, meats, fish, dessert, coffee, and tea -all available for the Ramadan buffet which only cost $35 (march 2024) I'd definitely come back after Ramadan to try their regular menu! read more

Nice Arab music playing on the flat screen. I believe I saw Patrick from SpongeBob show in the sand! The entrance is a steep hill but they wait for you & greet you which is nice. The fish display is what you want to focus on. Then the way to cook it. Always broiled with garlic olive oil & lemon. When I get Branzini fish I add rosemary sooooooo good! But that's my way! Prawns were tonight's meal with scallops grilled perfectly!! They top you off with free fruit tray, does any other place due that? Nope! Get the mint lemonade it's so refreshing!!! Service: three of us ordered but only two got the meals. Ten minutes later the third person got their meal. Kitchen was a little slammed but the servers are all nice & on point. Shot out to the older gentleman who tried to steal my bread! We all had a good laugh on that one!! Return: Yes we are coming back. So it will be in the Summer. This place was amazing. I went there twice back to back and received the same service. They welcome you when you first arrive and give you the choice to choose your sit. When I did get there around 6:30PM on a Friday, the place was not packed. However within an hour it was really packed. The food was delicious! From appetizers to entrees! The first time I went, I ordered the seafood soup. The soup was great. I loved that it was seasoned but not too much. It went great with the pita bread they gave us as well. The second time I went, I ordered the butterfly shrimp and I am in love. It was seasoned so well and it was juicy! I can't wait to go back for that! For my entree I ordered the grilled banzino with salad and rice. I ate the whole fish and couldn't even taste the rice because I was so full. The fish was grilled to perfection. First thing- has really great parking- which is really tough for this area in Paterson. The entrance is very nice and gives you Egyptian seafood restaurant vibes... the decor inside is so nice and fresh, with beautiful mirrors and etching and beautiful flooring and blue nautical decor all throughout... the service was excellent and the waiters and owners were so attentive and helped us choose what we wanted to eat, answering all our questions and showing us the fresh fish....the food was SO fresh, came out piping hot (and quickly) and the fish melted in my mouth- we got the grilled bronzini, sengari orata, and the shrimp tajin with red sauce- the Tajin was the best I ever had!
