You can hear the waves crashing while sleeping on an extra comfy bed! The house is stocked with games, movies and books to enjoy. I loved all the amenities the house offered like Alexa, cell phone charging stations, cozy throw blankets and luxury bath products. It's also a 3 minute walk to the steam train where you can take the whole family on an hour-long train ride along the Oregon coast. Located right across the street from fabulous bakeries and shops. This place made for an incredible weekend. We will definitely be back to stay at Alluvial Shores!

I don't know why this little beachside gem isn't in more findable here online - but snap it up if you see it in a listing here in Oceanside! They really book it out (which tells you the cool little place to stay it is.) I am crazy about cabins and the title says it all - knotty pine walls and it has that vintage cabin feel. Pluses - well, the sunsets from here! The owners seemed to have appointed it well even providing plenty of nice seasoned wood for the fireplace, pretty much everything you'd need in kitchen and this seems like a great place for families to stay with the bunk beds for the kids. It's also pet friendly - how cool is that? But one of the biggest pluses, besides the sound of the ocean from your window and a lovely little deck full of sun on a shiny day :) are the BEDS! Oh my gosh - incredible memory foam mattress topper and really soft high count thread sheets. You don't always get that in a vacation rental. That one there earned them the 5 stars along with the most unique "Treehouse" with stunning views. We will be back!

Spent a good part of the day up there reading, with a glass of wine (Okay, a bottle. Who we kidding?). The sunset view is perfect. It sleeps 6 or more I guess. Two Queen beds, a pair of full sized bunk beds, all with real nice mattress toppers. And a super comfy couch, too. The garage is stocked with all the beach paraphernalia you could need including boogie boards, beach chairs and a coupla dozen wetsuits, including YOUR size! The beach is an easy two or three block walk (walking back is uphill). It's GameNight ready. Dozens of games await (Scrabble, Risk, Cards Against Humanity, puzzles, etc). Oceanside is a quiet little town (village? burg?) The Blue Agate (for breakfast and Rosanna's for lunch and dinner are both within walking distance and both real good. Looks like it tends to be booked pretty solid, but if you can squeeze in a couple of days during the week, more power to you.

With 5 bedrooms and an enormous gourmet kitchen, there was plenty of room for everyone. The game room with pool and ping pong was a great way to goof around with people. The house is absolutely beautiful and it is all ready for your stay. Kitchen is ready for your gourmet dinner as soon as you turn the key and throw your bags on the bed. The master bedroom or "Captain's Quarters" has the most comfy kind size bed, its wonderful. The area around the house is very quant too. The town of Rockaway has cute shops and Manzanita is right down the road. Overall its a gem with a private beach perfect for any getaway.

Kathy, the owner, is extremely accommodating and incredible respectful of privacy. At times we didn't even know she was there. Midway through our stay she changed the sheets and towels, which was unexpected and greatly appreciated. We felt our comfort was given top priority. Working with Kathy before and during our stay was easy as she is quick to respond to emails as well as any questions or concerns. If you are looking for a quiet getaway for a few days or longer, this is the place. We'd definitely stay again if in the area.

Sea Treasures Inn #209…read more The internet connection is very, very bad. Reception is weak and fluctuating and drops completely throughout day and night. This includes tv reception. The placard outside says Vacasa and has phone number. Call the number and you will be re-directed to VRBO and Casago, but the room was bought via Expedia. All communication must be via text or email with Casago. You cannot enter your room without doing the online pre-check-in. Only then will you get the 10-digit entry code for your room. There is no staff on the property. No lobby. No breakfast, coffee, brochures. Very weirdly minimal. The room, bedding, and towels were all clean. Beds comfortable. Unfortunately, there were some issues. Bug in coffee maker. Coffee maker power cord too short and no convenient outlets nearby. Had to put the coffee maker in the sink in order to make coffee. That was the only outlet close enough to plug in the coffee maker without moving furniture around. Our room had two queen beds. So, potentially, the room could have up to four people. There was one chair for the room. Towel rod holder. Why no towel rod? No hand soap for bathroom. Power outlet next to bed was so loose, gravity won't allow a power cord to stay in it. So can't charge phone or anything else. They want a prompt 10am check out, but don't even provide a clock in the room. Bathroom door sticks badly. Handle nearly non-functional. But it's cheap, a block from the beach, and across the street from shops and restaurants. If this multitude of little things won't bother you, then you should have a great time.

Tried to call the guest support number listed in the room only to have no one answer. Went to find a front desk to report, only to find that there wasn't one. Found another number for guests listed on the side of the building, only to be told that they no longer manage the property. After numerous calls, and no direction. We returned to our room to see that the adjoining room was occupied by 7 teenage males, our property moved, and the door then locked. While on the phone with Airbnb we could hear them jiggling our door and incredibly loud. We left immediately after hearing the teens through the door talk of drug use. Absolutely do not recommend. Would give zero stars if able. Ended up scrambling to find a room at 9pm after a long day of travel. 10 out of 10, don't recommend. Zero help, and incredibly unsafe.

Compared to the photos advertised on Google, the actual room was nothing like what we expected. We paid for what was advertised, and that's not what we received.
