If spending time by the ocean and visiting the various sites around the Oceanside/Netarts/Tillamook…read moreregion is your priority, you could do much worse than booking a cabin at Oceanside Ocean Front Cabins. We've stayed here twice and enjoyed both of our visits. The cabins are small, clean, rustic. Bed, bathroom, microwave, small refrigerator. Decent enough wifi. Plenty of parking space. What else do you need? The cabins are reasonably priced and couldn't be closer to the ocean, and the manager, Joe, is kind and helpful and willing to go out of his way to make sure your stay at the cabins goes well. Dogs are welcome. We'll stay here again. Great beach, by the way. One of the nicest on the Oregon Coast.

From check-in to showering, this place proved a colossal disappointment. Surly management was…read moreaggressively unhelpful when recommending we switch cabins (they first tried to rent us a cabin that had no screens but lots of flies). Front steps with staples and nails protruding (we're at the beach; people go barefoot!). A "kitchenette" that was a cheap coffee maker and little else. Water that trickles from the showerhead and runs short of hot pretty quickly. I've slept in more spacious and comfortable tents. No soap. Some people put lodging together in ways that show you they've thought about your comfort. Other people send the message that they don't care about you at all. This place cares less about you than not caring at all. They must actively loathe guests.

I actually loved that my phone couldn't be called here '-) AND that they have a landline should you really need free of charge. I don't know why this little beachside gem isn't in more findable here online - but snap it up if you see it in a listing here in Oceanside! They really book it out (which tells you the cool little place to stay it is.) I am crazy about cabins and the title says it all - knotty pine walls and it has that vintage cabin feel. Pluses - well, the sunsets from here! The owners seemed to have appointed it well even providing plenty of nice seasoned wood for the fireplace, pretty much everything you'd need in kitchen and this seems like a great place for families to stay with the bunk beds for the kids. It's also pet friendly - how cool is that? But one of the biggest pluses, besides the sound of the ocean from your window and a lovely little deck full of sun on a shiny day :) are the BEDS! Oh my gosh - incredible memory foam mattress topper and really soft high count thread sheets. You don't always get that in a vacation rental. That one there earned them the 5 stars along with the most unique "Treehouse" with stunning views. We will be back!

Spent a good part of the day up there reading, with a glass of wine (Okay, a bottle. Who we kidding?). The sunset view is perfect. It sleeps 6 or more I guess. Two Queen beds, a pair of full sized bunk beds, all with real nice mattress toppers. And a super comfy couch, too. The garage is stocked with all the beach paraphernalia you could need including boogie boards, beach chairs and a coupla dozen wetsuits, including YOUR size! The beach is an easy two or three block walk (walking back is uphill). It's GameNight ready. Dozens of games await (Scrabble, Risk, Cards Against Humanity, puzzles, etc). Oceanside is a quiet little town (village? burg?) The Blue Agate (for breakfast and Rosanna's for lunch and dinner are both within walking distance and both real good. Looks like it tends to be booked pretty solid, but if you can squeeze in a couple of days during the week, more power to you.

It was not evident at booking that the property we were reserving was about 10 minutes away from the main location. There were no directions regarding check in, and that made it a hassle to backtrack to the main location for access. The main reasons we booked this rental were for the outdoor space overlooking the ocean and the hot tub. While the view was unbeatable, there was no propane provided for the fire table and the hot tub was green, so we weren't able to use either. My husband left a couple messages with the office but never got a response. When we raised this with the manager at check out, she indicated that we should have called for them to fix it and that she thought the hot tub was safe to use anyway (definitely not willing to test that theory). When we pointed out the unreturned calls, she was very dismissive. While the property itself was nice, the service and care were lacking.

What a dump. I'm…read moresure these cabins were well kept at one point. That no longer seems to be the case in 2025. We rented cabin #6 for the weekend and were pretty disappointed to have spent so much for such a run-down rental. We immediately wished we had stayed elsewhere. I was greeted by the managers growling dog. Fun! The human seemed nice though. First, the positives: Great view and access to the bay/ocean. And the fireplace was nice, but the circulator didn't work to keep the airflow going with the doors closed. Kind of a bummer. - That's it. The negatives: The couch was gross and partly covered by a fitted sheet/cover, while the upper portion was exposed and peeling. Time for a new couch! Then there was an antique upright record player (for some reason) that we couldn't get to work; just taking up space. Interesting choice. The entire back half of the cabin (bedroom/bathroom) is on such a slant that we felt so disoriented walking around. I am posting a photo of the bed, which has been shimmed on one side to account for the lopsided floors. The level of this cabins cleanliness was very questionable. Bugs trapped under the glass in the artwork, stains on the comforter, dust and sand e-v-e-r-y-w-h-e-r-e. And yeah, I realize we're steps from the beach, but it didn't feel like the floors had been cleaned in quite some time. When the evening light penetrates the windows you can see it all. Just gross. Also, each nightstand lamp in the bedroom wasn't working; turns out they were both unplugged. WISH I HADN'T SEEN BEHIND THE BED! Others had mentioned the woman who smoked. We saw her quite a few times standing in front of our cabin cigarette in hand. Not a fan of that. We won't be back.

The people who we spoke to prior to our stay were super helpful. They found us a hotel room that accommodated to our family's needs. They were patient and nice to speak with. There was plenty of parking outside our cottage. I liked the outdoor area where there was a propane bbq, fire pit, and chairs to hang out. The ambiance really catered to families or for people who are traveling with friends. The room in itself was very spacious. I could tell that they tried really hard to make us feel safe in that they cleaned everything thoroughly. For example, the hair dryer was wrapped in plastic wrap. I was so impressed with how large the cottage was. There was a living room, bathroom, kitchen and a room with a door. The tv had Netflix and Amazon prime (that was awesome). I loved the kitchen feature because when we got sick of eating out, we were able to cook our own meals. They provided all the basic necessities to cook a meal. The location of the cottages is perfect. It is located in the heart of town and about a 2 min walk to the beach. Every day, we just had to walk a couple of steps and we would see the beach and the iconic Cannon Beach rock. The minor things that I didn't like about this place was that the bathroom vent didn't exist/odor. I believe the cottages allow pets so there was a bad odor that existed in the bathroom. We could never get rid of the smell. The unit is also older so some of the flooring was cracked. Also, at night it gets really cold and the heat from the living room doesn't travel easily to the bedroom so it gets really cold. However, the staff were very accommodating in getting us more blankets. The fireplace was great in helping heat the place too. But aside from these few minor issues, we would definitely stay here again. We had a lovely stay.

The beds were great. The bathrooms clean and functioning. The living room well appointed. Walls freshly painted. It's a great rental for the Willamette Valley area. In addition the owner was easy to work with and very pleasant. The kitchen was modern and the appliances very new. The property does not have a bbq but the owner when I asked about a bbq provided a small beach bbq. Not what I would use, but nonetheless a very nice gesture on her part. There is one minor complaint that I am sure it will be remedied after the owners reads this. Their website says "Please note, the kitchen comes with the right tools and service ware, you will need to provide all of the food." This is not quite accurate. We found no pots and the skillets were older and of poor quality. For $200.00 the owner could go to Costco and reoutfit the house with new pots and pans and a few utensils. I suspect they will do so after reading this because I believe they are do care about their customers' stay. This obviously is not a problem if you only eat at restaurants. In summary, I highly recommend this rental though I hope the owners will take my small complaint to heart. Five stars when they upgrade the pots and pans. Bill
