Our room was small, but had everything we needed. It has been updated so the bathroom was like brand new. The bed was clean and comfortable. There was a mini fridge, coffee maker and tv w/dvd player, as well as soaps and plenty of extra clean towels. They are totally contactless, and we did text back & were responded to. They have a dvd "closet" that you use a code to get into. I'm really not sure if the tv works otherwise. It was quiet, we never heard anyone else. There is a cute market a block away & a couple restaurants just a bit further. View outside the room was good, we weren't on the side with the uninterrupted view. No biggie we didn't sit around in the room anyway. Overall great experience and would recommend if you're staying in the area. There was not a blow dryer, that's the only thing I could've used that wasn't available. read more

NOT AS ADVERTISED. Worst experience we've had with a booked room. We left not long after stepping inside. There was an overpowering smell, possibly mold. There was hair inside the toilet when we arrived, with pieces of the same hair on the bathtub and on the towel above the toilet. Pink mold residue above the shower and everything overall rundown. The tables and furniture were also sticky. At $260 a night, this was extremely disappointing and absolutely not worth the price. Compared to the photos advertised on Google, the actual room was nothing like what we expected. We paid for what was advertised, and that's not what we received. This "suite" is very dirty. Very cold and damp. So much so that the doors have swollen and they keep getting stuck! I think people should know about this before booking. I so wanted to fall in love. I'm not that picky but I can't even shower in this one because of the amount of gunk in the shower. The kitchen area drawers and furnishings are gross. View is nice. Only one portable heater TV is so small you can't even see it when sitting on the couch. So disappointing!! read more

Room seemed to have a long term guest previously, the room was far from clean. The pictures of rooms do not match actual rooms, for sure the price of the rooms are 2 times the amount they should be. There was pubic hair on the floor of the restroom. I wish I could upload pictures to show the bait and switch. Not only when we arrived at 6:18, we had no clue how to gain entry to the room as the office was closed. The staff said they sent us to he message but we only received after we had got there. We think it was because we reached out a few hours before to see if we could just move our stay to the next weekend. Rather then respond they immediately charged our card on file, no response no even a I am sorry we cannot. We still went because my wife was feeling pretty good after her surgery she had the day before. It was extremely disappointing to have a room look like cozy cabin still rooms and turn out to be a motel with long term residents living there. If you want to see pictures, I will be leaving a review in Yelp and anywhere else I can. Not only did we receive a text message at 7:00am reminding us of a 11am check out, a staff member was knocking on our door at 10:58am and not just 1 knock. They kept knocking until we opened the door, we were literally in the middle of getting our bags. Don't let the view get you, go further up to Oceanside or somewhere else in the area. We decided to book here while on a trip down the Oregon coast. The staff was nice and professional, checking us in after the office closed at 6 pm, since we spent the day at the Tillamook County fair. The location is great with a path down to the beach. Sunset views were amazing. The room, not so much. The entrance to the unit was dirty, looked unkept with a lot of debris and bird droppings. The unit was very dated, dingy and dirty. The bathroom toilet set was pealing. There was furniture missing and the bedside table lamp shade was shredded. The screen door to the balcony was ripped and falling apart to the point that we could barely open and close it. This was important because there was not AC or fan in the room, so we needed to sleep with the sliding door open for air. We couldn't get out of this place fast enough the next morning. For almost $350 per night, this place was a dump. Owners should be ashamed..needs a lot of TLC. read more

It definitely wasn't a horrible place but a few things could've made it a bit nicer. To start maybe curtains over the windows. The large window, which was in line with the bed, and the majority of the place, including up to the bathroom, had partial blinds, and then a translucent liner. The window immediately out of the bathroom/shower area had nothing at all. The bed was OK, but a bit soft for me. Smoke detector was sitting on top of the refrigerator instead of mounted on the wall. The lock is a numerical sequence, but has no manual lock inside, part of a door chain assembly is still there, but the chain was missing. These are called cabins and I suppose that is somewhat of an accurate description however, they are more like small one room units. No view of the ocean or bay. On the plus side, they did have a full kitchen. There is a TV but when I tried to turn it on, it said there was some issue with the cable and nothing would work. It would definitely not be my first choice, but if I couldn't find anything else, I would stay there again. I'm gauging this on $130 a night stay. If this were 75 and night, I would've been a lot more content. read more

The view and location are great, the room, not so much. We had a view room and it was pretty dirty. Obviously hasn't had a good cleaning in a very long time. The bed was horribly uncomfortable, so much that we needed up sleeping on the pull out. There was evidence of (past?) water damage on the walls and flooring. The staff was really nice and responsive, and we loved the location. Would probably look for a different place next time. read more

We were in room 20. It was so disgusting that as soon as we walked in we tried to find another place to go, but every place was booked on a Saturday night. (In fact another couple we watched check in and check out right away) We had booked for two nights so we were able to get out of there on Sunday and found another place for that night. The bathroom was disgusting with mold on the floor moulding and on the bath/shower knob (see photos). the headboard was filthy, The bed stand lamp had mold from how many years of use-forgot to take a photo of that. under the bed was a huge dust compliation (we thought it was a dead animal at first) All of the pictures on the walls were faded and some had bugs inside the glass. The refrigerator was left with finger prints of previous tenants. I had spilt a bit of water on the floor and wiped it up with a paper towel - the black that came off the floor was appalling. I was worried for my little dog that he might be contaminated. The cleaning person actually left an envelope for tips - ha ha - Wow i have never experienced such filth. read more

Avoid. They provided a room access code that didn't work and no after hours phone number. Expedia couldn't reach anyone and the motel phone goes to voice mail in the evening. We had to leave and drive another hour to the nearest hotel with vacancy. The lackluster staff was completely unapologetic and provided no explanation when replying to my messages days later. I have been going to the Terimore for over 50 years. I doubt I will return. 1. A unit with full kitchen means a minimum of cookware, 3 forks, a couple of spoons. A huge coffee maker with 4 coffee packets, (intended for a 2 cup machine. there was really nowhere to put the coffee maker except in front of the cabinets so that it blocked the doors and you couldn't open them. 2. No heat in bathroom, not sure how that works when it is really cold. sitting on the toilet in the bathroom, you notice all the dust and dirt that is on the baseboards that nobody has cleaned. Although they did supply plenty of clean towels, soaps, etc. oh, and plenty of dead bugs and debris in all the windowsills yuck. 3. Cable TV did not work told management said it was the cable company's problem and that they would keep me apprised of any changes. Ha ha thank goodness I had my tablet. Any motel I've ever stayed in. They would've asked what they could do to alleviate the TV problem. I've had other hotels and motels offered to move rooms or give a discount of some sort. 4. so if you were trying to read since it was no TV, there was no lamps whatsoever so you had to turn the overhead lights on to be able to read. Not conducive to comfortable reading that's for sure. 5. plenty of clean towels etc. since the laundry room is right next to our cabin we got to enjoy them talking loudly and smoking outside the laundry room door sometimes three or four of the employees. And of course no smoking is supposed to be allowed but I guess it's OK for the employees to walk around with cigarettes hanging out of their mouth. 6. The seem like petty little things as I write them but it's just not what I expect when I pay 150 a night for a motel room. For the price I think next time I'm going to stay anywhere but the Terimore. First of all, why is every hotel in the universe not doing remote check in and service? This was a freaking awesome aspect of staying here. Completely non contact check in, room service, and check out. Every morning the lodge sends you a text and email asking if you need anything. They give you a code to check in, and when you leave, you just close the door and let them know. Hello! Paradise. And I'm sure this added to the feeling of total comfort we got staying here; it removed that hospitality barrier (not saying that can't be great or that we don't want to meet people in person cuz we do) - but it let us feel like we were just stepping into our own place. We've stayed here in the past. Always a bit odd, but nothing too bad. September 29th-30th 2023...this place was just too awful. Almost $300.00 for one night. We were told via emails/Texts that we could check-in "around 3:30" That was ousted when I asked/verified we were checking in "early". The key pad locked us out until 4? No reason for that ? We've always cooked our crab outside on the patio of the hotel. After we'd already paid we were informed that there was no available crab cooking station that had been there before? We had to drive back to Tillamook bought propane, a cooking burner and a pot to cook our crab. $80.00 later, and late in the night we finally went to bed only to find a cigarette smoke saturated bedroom. I just pictured someone chain-smoking in bed for how long? I slept on my nearly $300.00 night crappy couch. Even my dog wouldn't sleep in the disgusting bedroom. We were there from 4 until 6:19 am the following morning. I called The Terrimore management and left a message expressing my disappointments. ( and, I was polite) They have yet to return my call. waiting to get bed bugs from this place! I'm seeing a lot of complaints about this place, the follow-up from The Terrimore Inn; insincere, passive-aggressive, apologize lacking any accountability. read more

After residing at this location for over four years and consistently receiving positive reviews, we've noticed a significant decline since new owners took charge. Our recent experience in Room 3 was far from satisfactory--starting with a bathroom door that wouldn't shut and a kitchen lacking essential pots and pans. Despite reaching out multiple times for assistance, the issues persisted. Additionally, we had assembled a grill for the property in the past three years, yet it was nowhere to be found when requested. A cookie sheet provided was impractically large for the tiny oven, and the kitchen light was non-functional. Disturbingly, our neighbors' hound dogs were left unattended for the entire three hours of our stay, incessantly barking. Despite bringing this to management's attention, we were informed they couldn't address the matter. To make matters worse, the on-site DVD locker, meant to offer entertainment, turned out to be empty when we tried to borrow movies to drown out the dog noise. Disheartened by the overall experience, we decided to leave after just three hours. The management's promise of a 10% refund on a nearly $200 room only resulted in a $14 reimbursement from Terrimore. I called management to ask about the issue and they hung up on me. Our advice: steer clear of this establishment! read more

I have came to the Terimore inn for a very long time, and I see a huge difference in the hotel this time, the manager Rebecca is a very pleasant person, she goes above and beyond to help, her staff are kind and easy going, I am so glad you got a manager that cares like she does, a lot to fix but mostly small little things, big deal, some one was yelling at Rebecca because the tv didn't work wifi isnt the greatest my husband said look at the view forget about the TV, well Rebecca showed up at his door to replace the tv and got it working, come to find out it was the tv at all, the smallest things and even though she got yelled at, she delivered !!! incredible staff read more

The internet was not stable and cut out a few times. The front door sticks, as does the door to the bathroom. (Room 12). There was no bath soap. I love this location. The rate was really reasonable for such a beautiful view of the ocean. The queen loft w/ a kitchenette we stayed in was what you would expect for an older motel on layout, creekiness, etc. However, the cleanliness was not great. We had to buy a new Sponge to clean the dishes before we could use them. The sheets had visible stains. We used a clorox wipe on the table and coffee table, and it was so dirty. The baking sheet they had for the oven didn't even fit inside. The staff was friendly when we interacted with them, but when we ran out of toilet paper, no one was at the front desk to help. There was no "maid service" during the stay (I can't remember if that was mentioned as an included amenity or not) but when you stay 5 nights somewhere, I guess I would just expect that. Overall, it worked well for the money we spent, but we probably won't stay there again. read more

We LOVE this place. We have been staying here for the last four years over the week of July 4th. The owners (Ben SR and Ben JR) are fantastic hosts and Karla does an excellent job at making sure we have all of our needs met. The rooms are clean and nicely decorated. There is access to the bay down a set of stairs and a short walk to the beach front. Don't feel like walking down to watch the sunset? There is a patio with plenty of seating.. Or watching the bay while having coffee. It's very peaceful. The Terimore is definitely family and pet friendly; very much its own community filled with super great people..which we appreciate. The Terimore made my grandma and I feel safe and welcome during our first vacation since COVID! They switched to key pad locks on the doors to assist with contactless check-in/-out, and texted and emailed me all necessary information ahead of our check-in date. The room was simple, clean, and well-stocked. They even had DVDs to borrow for free with an honor system check-out. Our only constructive feedback would be to say that while the beach access from the hotel is nice, it is not very accessible! There are a lot of uneven stairs down that would be easier to manage if they were redone to level them out and provide better handrails. At the bottom, you have to clamber over a lot of differently-sized rocks, which was difficult for me as an able-bodied person, and nearly impossible for my grandmother. I'm sure it's not just the motel that has to deal with that, but it would be great if they could work on improving that accessibility! read more

It's just a motel from the exterior; inside it's trying to be a bit more livable but the décor is from at least 25 years ago. Even I can tell that, and I have no style at all. But the price is good, and the staff is very friendly. They have flat screens in every room, and a full whack of DVDs available in the office. There's a Pepsi machine. Bottom line, you're here for salt air and seaside R&R. You're not here for any degree of pampering. There's a trail down to the beach, and there's fresh seafood for sale just up the street. I'd happily stay here again, though I'm also prone to look for something with a slightly nicer bed. Your mileage may vary. read more

Stained upholstered furniture you were afraid to sit on, wooden furniture with holes chewed in it, kitchenette appliances held together with duct tape, bed linens so thin you could see through it and while we recognize it is a pet friendly place our room should not smell strongly of urine.Per night $ way too high for quality this poor. I know the owners are updating some of the units and did see one of those which was done well, clean and well-kept. But the disparity between that unit and ours was astonishing. photos and descriptions on website very misleading. Condition of our unit so poor should honestly have not been rented. Since our stay, I have read management response to negative reviews indicating their hope that customer made concerns known to them. I cannot believe they are unaware of the poor condition of some the units that they continue to rent! Avoid! read more

Under new management in 2019! We were greeted with friendliness and helpfulness and told that if we hurried, we would catch a perfect sunset. And we did! The room was very clean and all necessary towels and toiletries were provided. Walls are thin and I could hear what was going on in the rooms adjacent, so I recommend top floor or end room. This Hotel has a great location and a breath taking view of the bay and the person at the front desk was extremely nice!! However it's an older hotel that can use a fresh coat of paint. I had room 14 and it was not very clean and had mold in the shower and around the bathroom. The cleaning people never stopped by to tidy up the second day we were there which was not a huge deal but considering there was 4 of us and they only gave 2 towels? Needless to say we went to get more towels. Plus when I went to make coffee the wet coffee and filter were never emptied from the previous occupant. Location is great, and price is ok. The hotel being dated didn't bother me that much, but the mold in the bathroom and shower as well as the lack of cleaning and someone's nasty coffee and filter. I don't understand why others rate this 4. I was extremely disappointed when the lodge didn't look like the pic in ad, exterior nor interior. We were rudely addressed by staff telling us we had to come back in 3hrs for check in. Her attitude wasn't any better then. Our rental contract stated we couldn't use any towels from the room for the beach, but others would be provided. Told that wasn't true and contract needed updated. The unit was old, run down, damage hadn't been repaired, hot with no AC, no fans as all had already been given out. Sun beat down on a roof outside front window with reflective coating. No view from upstairs small window allowing little ventilation. Couch smelled like dirt. No sheets or pillowcases. Comforter old and worn. Ants all over kitchen and faucet leaked. Bathroom too small to sit on toilet straight. Pathway to beach was wooden and rocks down a steep hill thru brush. Inaccessible for people with disabilities. Very little parking. Sketchy people hanging around. Blowdryer didn't work. Coffee table dirty. Stairs to attic bedroom extremely small with tread coming off and unsafe to climb. Some plugs didn't work. For 250/nt, I expect better. Management refused to make this right and we couldn't stay our 2nd night so lost our money. read more

This place is...just OK. If the view is all that matters to you, you'll love it--the balcony faces west over Netarts Bay, and you can watch the tide roll in and out or take in the fantastic sunset. However, we paid the same amount for a room in Astoria that had much better amenities (a jacuzzi, continental breakfast, cleaner rooms). This place felt a little run-down. The beds in particular squeaked whenever you moved, and I could feel all the metal springs digging into my back while I slept. There were no blackout curtains, so if you like rising with the sun, you'll like this. My biggest issue was that the walls were paper thin--I could hear people talking, the TV, and worst of all, some guy snoring all night in the room next door. It was nice to be staying in a smaller town along the scenic route, and the view was great, but I was ready to leave after two nights. read more

I agree with Tom B. (below.) The location is what you're paying for, and if you got a room with a view, wow. We wanted to sit outside and eat at the little tables on the patio, but they were always being used. Be aware that as a town, Netarts isn't one really. It's just lodging, a little market, and maybe 2 or 3 other small businesses. But it's great if you don't want to "walk around town." My biggest complaint was the water pressure. There was none. Washing up in the sink would work better as the water only trickled out of the shower head. You also couldn't sit on the toilet without turning sideways if you have legs bigger than a child's as it is so cramped. The kitchen was the best we've had on our trip. We could actually cook! And there was a full fridge!! Really happy with the kitchen. Awesome. In our room the bedroom was upstairs and the bathroom was downstairs, so if you have to get up in the middle of the night, it's a little hairy going down those steep stairs in the dark. We both woke up with incredible neck pain, don't know if that was the bed or the pillows. But since it was both of us, we realized it was defnitely something about the bed. We didn't mind the "old" feeling of the interior, it was kinda charming-like Grandma's cabin. But the NOISE from the neighboring guests was ridiculous. Late into the night they were SO loud. Would've been nice to have "quiet hours." And with paper thin walls.... Oh, our blinds also wouldn't close. Not a problem really, but when we wanted to sit at the table and the sun was right in our eyes, it would've been nice to have shut the blinds at least part of the way. read more

I am writing this from our room right now at the Terimore! Not a fancy place, but nice people and good location. There is no A/C, only heat. Quite a shock for a couple of people from Texas! Fortunately, A/C was not needed in mid-August. We left the window open during our entire stay. It was pretty quiet at the beach, which we enjoyed. If you walk north on the beach you can get a glimpse of nearby Oceanside (beautiful beach). Wake up early and go down to the beach to watch the clams squirt water in low tide. We are staying in room 23 which has a great view. The room has a mini-fridge, small flat screen tv, and a microwave. There is a full-size bed and a small table and chairs. The walls are fairly thin, but not really much of an issue for us. There are also berry bushes (Marionberry I think) on the path down to the beach. Again, good location right on the beach with a view for a very reasonable price ($84/night). Less then 10 min drive to Oceanside. Or you can just stay here and go crabbing or clamming at the beach below. Eat at Sugarfoot's if you are in Netarts! read more

My husband and I came here for the last few days of our honeymoon. They allowed us to bring our 120 lb dog, they provided doggie poop bags and a towel and dog biscuit for my dog. The room came with a microwave and a coffee maker, no toaster as promised, no plastic forks or paper plates or more permanent alternatives, which is really inconvenient if you're not told you should bring some. I really wish they provided a broom or area rug because the sand and dog hair on the pergo flooring gets out of control so quickly. The staff has been so helpful, giving us extra poop bags, loaning us a flashlight and letting us know about some pretty cool activities in the area. I just really wish there were some plates and forks and maybe a little broom or something because there's sand in the bed now. read more
