We did a lot of research and ended up with Sorrento FIrst Choice for our tour. It is not the biggest company but they bend over backwards (not literally) to give you want you want. I mean, you pick the exact itinery, or you tell them what you like and they come up with something, and you can change it on the fly. Every place they suggested to us was excellent, and most coincided with my personal research into the area. The vehicle was roomy, new, clean, and comfortable with excellent views out of the windows. The driver, Stephanie, spoke English so well I could actually understand her without straining, and seemed to know just about everything. She kept up a running commentary most of the time which was like an audio guide without having to wear headsets. The price was a bit on the low side too in an area where full day private tours usually run about $400. Note: I am not connected with the company in any way; just had a good time on our tour.

He's from the Amalfi Coast and knows just about everyone. We even ran into his father in Ravello. He gives you access to a lot of places that the tour buses won't stop at. The highlights: *Touristy stuff: A boat ride through a grotto, and a little miniature of a town *Shopping in Amalfi *Breathtaking views and photo stops the whole way--including a posh hotel not open to random tourists *Wandering the square of Ravello *The most amazing meal ever: balcony view down the gorge to the Med at Ristorante San Giovanni, a rustic hand crafted meal. It was a Saturday afternoon, he was at the hotel to pick us up in just 15 mins with a beautiful Mercedes. Traffic was exceptionally heavy, but Alex was an awesome driver, so patient and gave us sightseeing tips all along the way! He took us to a wonderful restaurant in Ravello for lunch and then to the Villa Cimbrone Gardens which were beautiful! We will certainly ask for Alex whenever we are back here on the Amalfi Coast!!!

They have wonderful cars (mostly Mercedes of various sizes) and can do any type of transport that you may require from airport transfer, to day trips to even finding you a guide at local tourist sights such as Pompeii or Ravello. And unlike some other companies, all of these drivers speak perfect English so there is no need to struggle with your Italian (good thing for this language challenged gal!) I used them to take us to Ravello and our driver, Gianluca, was so delightful that we immediately booked him for an additional day trip to take us to Sorrento and Pompeii. What makes them so special is that they go the extra mile. When we got to Ravello, Gianluca knew a local restaurant to take us to for lunch that wasn't even on our list and the food was great and the staff very welcoming. He also knew to take us across the valley so we could look back on the gardens we were going to go to and see how beautiful they were on the edge of the coast. Trust me- you don't want to be renting a car and driving yourself on the twisty, turning roads that make up the Amalfi Coast. There were times where we were backing up to let the large tour buses go by and other times where we just had to pull to the side of what looked like a complete drop off to let big trucks go by. I felt safe, and confident the entire time we were in Gianluca's car. And here's a treat. When our driver heard we were in Italy celebrating birthdays, he went out of his way to call his friend who worked at Li Galli Restaurant (see my review) and get us the best table in the house and this on a Friday night! This service will run you about 200 euros for 4 hours and 50 euro for each hour after that. And while they do take credit cards, they don't take Am Ex so know before you go. Definitely a great service provider with some of the friendliest people in town! Every time we walked by their office (which was just around the corner from our villa) the drivers would come out to say "hi" which again made us feel like we were highly appreciated! Thanks guys!

Rainbow Limos was highly recommended by a friend and prices seemed quite comparable to other private transport. They picked us up at the Naples train station and drove us to Positano with a stop for a prearranged private tour (that they set up) of Pompeii, then at the end of our stay picked us up at our hotel and took us to Naples airport. If you have the budget I would highly recommend the guided Pompeii tour - I think we got a lot more out of it than if we had been wandering around on our own. They were efficient in communication ahead of time, very clear on details and prices via email, on time/ahead of time for pick ups, and we felt very safe with them. They were extremely kind when our train from Rome was delayed and helped make sure our private Pompeii tour could still happen. Would absolutely use them again!

We were driven from Rome to Pompei to Naples to the hometown of five of us (two families) - Ottati & Castelcivita - back to Naples and then to Rome. We had two drivers: Rocco, who handled the Rome, Naples & Pompeii trips; and Umberto, who drove us from Naples to Ottati & Castelcivita. Both men were professional, charming and friendly, as if your Italian relatives were driving you. Umberto became somewhat of a legend on that trip, since he took us to the towns our families came from and became our interpreter. And oh... Umberto is the father of Giovanni, who runs Benvenuto Limos. (We sent a video to them as a thank you.) This August at the last minute (well, for me at least, during June) after much urging by my wife and the people of Ottati I attended the 75th Anniversary of the opening of town's aqueduct. Fundraising was done by my great uncle and others in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, my hometown, as well by a group in Pennsylvania. There was no way I was driving two hours up the mountains. My wife told me to call Giovanni and Benvenuto and guess who picked me up in Naples? Umberto! And he picked me up a couple of days later to take me back to Naples. Again, it was like family... family that is professional, charming and wonderful. Benvenuto Limos are tremendous. I recommend them highly.

We came to Italy with very little knowledge of the area and very little planned for the week. Giovanni with the assistance of Daniella not only provided us with seamless pick up and drop offs throughout the week in their spotless air conditioned cars, but he and his drivers were basically our tour guides each day which made the trip so much better. They planned our itinerary perfectly with their extensive knowledge of the area and connected us to all the best sights, restaurants, and more. One day we visited Pompeii and Herculaneum. They organized for us to have a private guide in both places and we stopped for an amazing lunch at a winery on Mount Vesuvius during the day. The wine tasting and food was incredible. This was a must all thanks to the Benvenuto team. One of the most memorable moments was our dinner in Positano at a restaurant that is a little bit hidden from the main touristy area, La Guarracino. Giovanni personally called the restaurant to get us a reservation and gave us recommendations of what to order. The assorted chefs choice sea food plate was one of the best things we've ever had and the whole night was so magical. This trip was so special and memorable for my family. When it came to an end, we were so sad to say goodbye to Giovanni who we'd loved getting to know throughout the week. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you! We have taken 2 of the 3 trips so far with them while here in Maiori and we have been treated like royalty. The first trip was to pick us up at the Naples train station since we took the train from Rome to Naples. Christian met us promptly at the train station and took us on the 1-1/2 hour drive into Maiori. He was delightful, courteous and a great driver. The 2nd drive was today and again we were met promptly by our driver Dino who was also delightful. He was courteous and very knowledgeable about the area. He lives in Ravello on the Amalfi Coast and is very proud of his home as he should be! We loved our day with him. Barbaro has fabulous drivers and very nice Mercedes cars. We can't wait for our 3rd and final drive back to the train station. It will be sad to leave but comforting to know we are going to be promptly delivered where we need to be by this great company!
