One of the worst experiences I've ever had with a moving company…read more We hired this company after a flood to pack up our belongings so repairs could be done and then move everything back in. We paid a very large amount for this service and also paid extra for their insurance coverage specifically to protect our valuables. During the packing process, they broke several items worth thousands of dollars. When we filed a claim, instead of taking responsibility or honoring the insurance we paid for, the owner was rude, dismissive, and outright hostile. We were essentially told "too bad, you should've packed it yourself," and "if you didn't want it broken, you shouldn't have hired us." That is completely unacceptable, especially from a business that charges for professional packing and insurance. Not only did they fail to protect our belongings, but they also refused to fairly address the damage and spoke to us in a shockingly unprofessional and offensive way. We trusted them during an already stressful time after a flood, and they made the situation much worse. I strongly warn others: do not use this company if you care about your property or expect basic professionalism and accountability. Paying extra for their insurance meant nothing, and the way we were treated afterward was insulting and outrageous.

However, I kept getting ads for U-Pack and decided to get a quote. TLDR - I am SO happy I went with this service as the process was transparent, simple, and convenient. I had about a studio apartment's worth of furniture in a 5x10 storage unit. The U-Pack team in Indy helped accommodate me and where the cube could be placed at my storage facility. The person who dropped off the cube was communicative, clear, and provided helpful advice for packing. One thing I did not realize I would need is LOTS of bungee cords and ratchet straps to hold things down, so be sure to have plenty on hand before your cube arrives. During the move, I checked the "moving dashboard" (the online portal that includes all the details of your move) religiously. It always had up-to-date information about where my cube was, which helped ease my anxiety about the move progress. My cube was picked up on a Wednesday in Indiana, and arrived the next Friday morning in California, which was right in the middle of my estimated time block (which was 5-7 business days). The movers who dropped it off were equally courteous and helpful, as I was putting my cube on the street. If you are moving to a city/area without a driveway, be sure to get all of the proper legal clearance to park your cube. I applied for a temporary no-parking permit for week to accommodate the cube if it arrived early or late. Some other tips: I cannot overstate how important it is to CALL the U-Pack customer service line for a quote/arrangements, as the online quote tool will shoot way above what your actual price will be. Secondly, the online dashboard and the ability to change details about your move online is very convenient and useful. I changed the drop-off time several times and it was always updated instantaneously. All in all, this service was seamless and helped me as a first time mover, and everyone from on-the-phone customer service reps to ABF Freight movers were exceptionally kind and helpful. I will absolutely use this service again and recommend to all.

Moving van line companies ( the licensed ones) can cost minimum $1,500-on up. They have people that will break down ore furniture and pack for u too. PODS more known across the board are expensive. PACKRAT their containers are twice the size of RE-LOCUBES and u can keep them for up to a month to load or unload are more. I would maybe consider them if I had a lot to more things than what was in my 1bedroom apartment. I had to use 2 relocubes for a one bedroom apartment. These cubes are inexpensive. All you need is to pack it yourself and put locks on them. (2 per cube) you have 2 days to unload. I'm in an apartment complex and had people I hired to unload so if I call same day .. they will pick cubes up next day to get them out of the way. I stored them for about s year due to not knowing where I was moving so each pod was about $150/ month to store if you need more time to find a place! I'm super pleased with them and highly recommend!!

About 4 hours into the re-delivery of our belongings by their crew, we discovered that much of our furniture and personal property which had already brought into our new home appeared to be covered in mold. The contamination affected our brand-new home and required professional remediation. As a result, we were displaced and forced to live in a hotel for 50 nights while the issue was addressed. The owner, John Craft, acknowledged to us that our belongings had gotten wet and remained on their moving trucks for a period of time during the hot and humid month of June. Despite assurances from the company's insurance carrier, we have received very little communication or resolution. More than seven months later, we still do not have our belongings and have had to retain legal counsel to pursue claims against both Soft Touch Moving and the insurance company. This experience has been incredibly disruptive to our lives. Based on our experience, we would strongly caution others before trusting this company with their belongings.

I have her voicemail and would attach it here if reviews permitted that. I was told that I would receive a phone call prior to the movers arriving. I waited this morning and didn't receive one. Then I called was informed that the movers were there waiting for 45 minutes and that I was responsible for paying for that time they waited because someone wrote my phone number incorrectly. When I called, Ann said "normal people" would be where they are supposed to be. They decided to have three movers and NEVER informed me. They moved the same stuff from my old house to the storage with 2 movers. Costing me $77 more per hour more than anticipated. I didn't authorize an additional mover. The owner came to my house last time to give me a quote and left his business card. I have misplaced it (while moving) and Ann refuses to give me his contact info.

I've had several good experiences with Two Guys but have been disappointed by my recent move with them. It was a two-day move: packing and loading on the first day and loading and delivering on the second day. They failed to tell me they were going to drop off a load at the new house on the second day before coming to the old house to finish loading and delivering, so they were at the new house with a truckful and no way to get in while I was waiting for them at the old house. That threw off the rest of the day. But worse, as I unpack wardrobe boxes now, I see that - despite my specific request at the outset that they NOT put extra items in the bottoms of the wardrobes - that's exactly what they did: crammed all kinds of unrelated stuff in the bottoms. Difficult to fish out, everything is wrinkled and disheveled, and I'm in chaos trying to sort it. I had booked this move two months in advance and planned down to the last detail, but I guess poor service wins in the end.

Here's the list of damages: hutch glass broken, two finials off of an antique bed broken off (they couldn't find the finials), antique Fender guitar case cracked/broken, large gouges on concrete floor in garage, over a dozen gouges and scrapes/scuffs on walls throughout the house, pedals removed from Yamaha grand piano (not supposed to be removed), glass broken on large picture, scrapes and back of antique mirror split, front door scraped, scratches on wood furniture throughout house that we wound up repairing ourselves. It got so out of hand that the supervisor showed up and sent the crew outside. This is a brand new house and was in perfect condition until Two Men and a Truck moved us in. We chose them because they had the lowest bid - our bad! They repaired most of the cosmetic issues but compensation for antique bed damage, antique guitar case damage, and permanent gouges on the garage floor fell seriously short ... $600? And all of the repairs were not completed until a week ago, so damages still visible throughout the holidays. Regret not going with Two Guys and a Truck out of Anderson ... higher bid but also higher standards.

We moved from Brownsburg to NE Missouri. After getting 5 quotes done, and everyone saying 1 semi or…read more(2) moving trucks, we chose the moving trucks because of our hill where we were moving to. We went through the video quoting session with the sales lady and she was very excited about how well I was able to give her box counts and she saw all my husband's wood working tables/saws/supplies still out on the shelves. The estimate was for two trucks and a 10-foot trailer. Approximately $15,000 and we box everything. We even boxed his tools in plastic containers and carried them to the garage to help them out. Day of pickup I said where is the trailer? They said we don't rent trailers. The sales lady wanted me to go rent a trailer (NEVER mentioned) and haul it behind one of our vehicles. NEVER was that mentioned. They loaded their two trucks and they were tired and wanted to get on the road to Missouri. There was still another truckload of merchandise scattered throughout the house. They were making excuses why they couldn't haul the electric grill, fire hazard, a box of canned food, they don't haul food, rolled up rugs, 30 more containers, and vacuum cleaner. Their supervisor said for a fee they would bring a 3rd truck and load it. Their quote included everything in the house. We had already taken the cold food, 12 bags of groceries, 2 truckloads of clothes and linens, plus donated 3-5 truckloads of stuff (desk, treadmill, chairs, Lumber, Tile, Tools) so they should have had plenty of room. It cost us to rent a one-way Uhaul $600 plus food, fuel, and hotel to come back and load our remailing possessions. The men worked hard but showed up without anything for lunch and expected us to buy it, and then the next day after unloading the truck the TIP was brought up. We gave them each $100 cash - but they acted as if it was an insult. We had bought their lunch, provided drinks, not at all mentioned in the contract. The #TwoMenandaTruck Organization should investigate this branch. I wasn't asking the manager for a refund, I wanted everything hauled to our new home as our contract said. The open area in the truck pictures, showing their employee closing the door, proves they loaded the trucks incorrectly and could have gotten all of our merchandise into the trucks. We did nothing wrong but were punished and insulted by their district manager. NO ONE should mention adding a "trailer" if they don't offer them for rent. How was I to know. How would a 10-foot trailer have helped when it took another 24-foot truck to move the balance. Why would she assume we had a vehicle that could tow a trailer.
