I cannot recommend them highly enough. We hired My Movers Inc. for an interstate move (about 12 hours away.) After a short phone call, they responded with a rough estimate based on the size of our home the following morning, which was a great response time. They scheduled an in-person walkthrough that week, showed up on time, and had an itemized, specific estimate by the end of it. We were able to schedule the move then and there, and were given guidelines on how to pack our things for the move and what wasn't allowed (e.g. liquids, fragile loose items, etc.) on the truck. Movers showed up right on schedule and cleared our packed belongings and furniture in under 2 hours. Similar story for unloading: they arrived right on time, and got all our stuff off the truck in 2 hours. Even though we didn't have a ton of stuff, I was impressed with how quickly they were able to load and unload. Everyone we interacted with throughout the process was friendly and polite. We ultimately came in slightly under the original estimate, which may not always be the case, but I appreciate when a business estimates high. Pleasant surprises are always better than unpleasant ones. :)

About 4 hours into the re-delivery of our belongings by their crew, we discovered that much of our furniture and personal property which had already brought into our new home appeared to be covered in mold. The contamination affected our brand-new home and required professional remediation. As a result, we were displaced and forced to live in a hotel for 50 nights while the issue was addressed. The owner, John Craft, acknowledged to us that our belongings had gotten wet and remained on their moving trucks for a period of time during the hot and humid month of June. Despite assurances from the company's insurance carrier, we have received very little communication or resolution. More than seven months later, we still do not have our belongings and have had to retain legal counsel to pursue claims against both Soft Touch Moving and the insurance company. This experience has been incredibly disruptive to our lives. Based on our experience, we would strongly caution others before trusting this company with their belongings.

But what really impressed me was how hard the crew worked to make up the time. They brought in additional people, hustled all day, and did everything they could to get us caught up. I reached out to the company, and while there was a brief delay in getting everything resolved (this is the height of moving season), they ultimately made everything right. It had to go through a wooden privacy gate, a patio door and stood on end to get into a hallway and bathroom door. At our age it wasn't even an option for us to attempt so I went directly to Yelp. I pulled up movers under Yelp, of course, and called three or four movers in the area. Bellhop charged by the hour, didn't seem dettered by the weight or standing on end and was available when we needed. Bellhop texted and emailed a confirmation and reminder while the lead mover introduced himself by text and confirmed the arrival time and exactly what they were moving a few days before. The day of the move they arrived separately and promptly, both were dressed appropriately (pants weren't down past their booty), polite, they worked well together, were careful and listened to suggestions my husband had without taking offense. We've had to move several large items into our house and knew what would work. We ended up having 3/4" to an 1" head clearance going through the bathroom door. They handled it like troopers and nothing was damaged. The move from start to finish only took an hour and 15 minutes. The bathroom vanity had no scratches and the marble top was in perfect shape. Bellhop doesn't provide furniture or appliance dollies unless you're renting a truck. We provided both for the movers but they weren't neccesary. They just carried the bathroom vanity and handled like pro's. If I need something moved again I won't hesitate to call Bellhops Moving.

They wrapped a lot of items in plastic. We moved from a 2nd level 2-bed 1-bath apt. to a 1-story home. I would have appreciated better estimates from the company. We were quoted an hourly rate and a 1-hr travel fee. The estimated time was 2 hours and for arrival at 3 PM. The arrival time was 5 PM, and the move lasted until after 10 PM. So the time estimates were not correct. This also increased the travel fee. So 5 hours labor, the travel fee, plus gas mileage expense, and some supplies, for everything including the $100 deposit, it was $1,300 to move. I was a bit shocked but maybe that's normal with today's prices. There were no issues with the move.

Created a misery situation for the movers so we'd tip them big na demanded a 5 star review for tips on Google. So their Google reviews look far better than they are. Didn't really finish the job and broke a number of furniture. We had to file a police report as our 2 big screen TV's didn't make it to our house. That following Monday someone else brought us our TV's that strangely didn't make the truck or stay in our other house. Avoid like the plague. 5 star review tipping is a scam.
