We wanted to support a local artisan so came here. The gentleman we met gave us the rundown on the diamonds they use, mostly recycled antique diamonds from other people's rings. The ring we selected was already made and just needed to be sized, so we gave them our daughter's ring size. We told them the date of our daughter's graduation and asked if the ring would be ready in time. They gave us an unequivocal yes - the ring would be ready in time so we could give it to her as a gift at her graduation. A month passed and we didn't hear from them. We called twice. no one returned our calls. We sent 2 emails. We got no reply. Finally, a few days before her graduation, we got a voicemail saying that the ring wasn't ready. The Overmann team expressed surprise that we needed it by this date. They hadn't listened to us at all. They just collected our money. The ring was finally ready 2 weeks after the date it was promised to us. (Note: all they had to do was size it.) No apology, no accountability. Then the real fun started. My daughter noticed that the diamonds were falling out (?!!) We called Rebecca Overmann to let her know. They told us to bring the ring in. They were surprised that the ring was poorly made. They made it, so that was confusing. They said the ring needed to be remade entirely, because the diamonds would keep falling out given the shoddy construction. It would take another month and the ring would "look different." (Did I mention we had already paid?) In summary: poorly made jewelry, overpriced items, poor Customer Service. We recommend getting your nice jewelry somewhere else.

The saga: I purchased two rings from Rebecca Overmann in April 2026 for my now fiancée. This review is specific to her engagement ring. The stone itself is beautiful and it is one of a kind, so credit is due. My fiancée loves the stone and the setting of the ring looks visually stunning, but more time and attention needs to happen prior to handing off a ring of this symbolic value to a customer. The engagement ring was already made and only needed to be resized. This was not a custom piece. The turnaround time for the re-size was quick. When I gave the ring to my now finacée, we noticed that the ring was making a clicking sound. This was not exactly a comforting experience or one that would make someone feel content after a substantial investment. In short, the stone was loose (likely due to the resize), which, fair enough, mistakes happen, but why would the studio not catch this in a quality control check before handing off to a customer? When I got the ring back, post the tightening of the prongs, the diamond had dark marks on the sides of the stone and there was a rough texture to one of the prongs. At this point, I was disgruntled and defeated that something that was supposed to be a blissful time was consumed with dealing with this ring and dodging questions from our families and friends about seeing the ring. The studio did take the ring back and clean it and buff out the rough prong. However, I would have appreciated a more sincere apology from the studio from the onset and accountability right off the bat. I went back and forth on writing this review or not, but after taking time to reflect on the facts, felt that alerting potential customers was warranted. If you're local and okay with some back and forth (i.e.- going to the studio multiple times), I would still go to the studio because, as mentioned, the stones are truly one-of-a-kind.

So I found myself reluctantly wandering into the SF store today to see if I could buy a Festoon chain. I say reluctantly, because it is not always fun or pleasant to shop there. However, today Rebecca helped me. What a difference. She went to great lengths to help me select the best chain, despite my changing my mind several times, and she taught me how to open and close the small charm holder. No small feat!
