I made an appointment here to get permanent jewelry for 2 people. The girl servicing us was very patient while we made our decisions, which I'm grateful for because A, it's permanent, and thus B, it's expensive. When she was welding on the bracelet, she would have us test it on our wrists so she can add or remove some rings to adjust the fit around our wrists. There was no wait for my appointment and the whole process for 2 people was only around 30 minutes, cluding selection time. The actual welding-on was only about 5 minutes.

If you're into small, minimal jewelry like I am, then stop by Amare Wear you won't be disappointed! Their handmade jewelry is a must buy fashion staple that goes well with a lot of outfits. I came to get a couple of permanent bracelets. Amare wear had a bunch of styles to choose from, in both gold and silver. Will be back for more!!

stopped by amare wear for the permanent jewelry service (please make sure to RSVP via their website prior to going in) - my friends and i had such a great time experiencing it together as the staff was patient and detailed in explaining everything we needed to know. we had an arrange of chain choices (rose gold, gold, and silver) along with some cute charms we can use to add on. the process itself was quick - took only 3-5 minutes! while waiting for my turn i ended up circling around the store - to which i found so many amazing small dainty jewelry. if you're looking for a cute boutique with unique jewelry or you're interested in permanent jewelry then make sure to stop by amare wear!

Came to Amare Wear with a friend for some permanent bracelets. Jill was very friendly and helpful. She patiently answered our questions about the different chains, explained care instructions, and even gave us a discount. Amare Wear also features handmade jewelry and clothing from local, female artists. Highly recommended! Note - the address on Google is wrong; it's 2230 Chestnut, not 2330 Chestnut.

top chain bracelet is from amare (starburst chain)

My friends and I came in after making an appointment just 30 minutes prior and she was SO nice. All of us can be quite indecisive, but she was so patient; she never was annoyed, never rushed us, and helped us pick our bracelets. She was honest with us about pros and cons of the bracelets we were interested in. We also got 10% off (as was advertised on the website) so that was a plus! Some of the chains and charms are definitely pricey, but there are options that are comparable to other permanent jewelry prices.

I got my permanent bracelets here a few days ago, the bracelets are elegant and shiny even after a few showers (which means the quality of the gold is good). There are also a lots of cute and lovely earrings, necklaces you can choose in the store based on your own mix and match. I also got myself a pair of earrings as well as an extra pendant. The owner definitely has good taste and service was warm and sweet. I would love to come back!

Got a permanent bracelet and I love it! Amare west has good service and lots of options!

When I tried to use it, I realized the tip has an unpolished, sharp metal burr from manufacturing that literally catches, tears hair, and scratches the scalp. It is completely unusable and hazardous (see photos). On August 29, 2026, I returned to the store politely asking for an exchange for an undamaged one or a refund under California's Implied Warranty of Merchantability. Instead of helping, the employees outright refused, laughed directly in my face, and refused to provide any manager or owner contact information. Selling sharp, defective accessories and openly mocking young customers is absolutely shameful. Avoid this place at all costs -- a complete tourist trap with zero accountability.

It's more than just a boutique... it's a warm, welcoming little pocket of joy in the middle of the Mission. One of the reasons I keep coming back (beyond the incredible gift selection and stylish, inclusive clothing) is because of the owner. She's owned this family-run business for over twenty years, and you can feel the love and intention behind everything in the store. She's one of the kindest, most humble people I've ever met, and every interaction with her reminds me why supporting small businesses matters so much. What really blows me away is that she always remembers me. Every time I walk in whether it's been a month or six she greets me by name and asks about my family. She remembers the little things: that my best friend I normally shop with here got engaged, that my dad fell ill last year, even what kinds of gifts I usually gravitate toward. It's such a rare and genuine connection, and it makes shopping there feel personal in a way that big stores could never replicate. Beyond the amazing people, the store itself is beautifully curated. You can find gifts for everyone !! From toddlers to grandparents, quirky coworkers to stylish best friends. Every item feels handpicked, and the range is both thoughtful and playful: hilarious greeting cards, cozy home goods, funky socks, beautiful clothes in all sizes, and unique accessories you won't find anywhere else. It's also incredibly inclusive and community-minded, with products that celebrate all identities, orientations, and body types. In a city that sometimes feels like it's losing its soul to chain stores and tech monotony, Therapy on Valencia is a refreshing reminder of what small business can and should be. A place with character. A place with heart. A place that feels like home.

I've been here plenty of times before and have spent my hard-earned money supporting this business. When I came in today, I placed my drink on the small stand outside since drinks aren't allowed inside, and started looking for the same style of earrings I had lost. I had only been in the store for less than two minutes when an employee approached me and said something along the lines of, "Excuse me, can you finish your call outside or put headphones on?" I was simply on the phone with my mother catching up, and I was not being loud or disruptive. What bothered me most was that the employee never greeted me or acknowledged me when I walked in, yet was quick to approach me and address my phone call almost immediately. There were also no signs indicating that customers aren't allowed to be on the phone inside the store. I understand wanting to maintain a certain atmosphere, but I don't feel the way this was handled was particularly welcoming or necessary. Unfortunately, after this experience, I no longer feel comfortable supporting this business. It's disappointing, especially as someone who has been a returning customer and has supported this store multiple times.
