The best thing about this course is that they will focus on topics that have higher priority and will advise on which sections to spend more of your time on. From my experience, I would recommend reading the book prior to taking the exam and taking this bootcamp course as a refresher. You should not rely solely on the bootcamp to pass the course as the CISSP has a lot of info that may require more time to study. Note, I spent 3 months of regularly studying and crammed 60+ hours the week before the exam.

He also reacted poorly when students fact-checked something he taught or questioned information that did not seem correct. His attitude and ego made it extremely difficult to respect him as an instructor or feel comfortable asking for help. This same instructor was involved in a physical altercation with a student after the student complained that he was not receiving help. As far as I know, no meaningful action was taken, and the instructor was still allowed to teach. Another instructor frequently spends class time on his phone gambling and discussing which teams he plans to bet on. When students ask for feedback or an opportunity to correct graded projects before submitting them, he refuses and says he already reviewed the material in class and will not explain it again. Instead of providing constructive feedback or helping students improve, he often stares at his phone and talks about sports bets. His mood and willingness to help also appear to become worse when his bets do not go well. The curriculum is poorly organized, and the school treats adult students like children. Even when instructors say they have finished everything they needed to teach for the day, students are not allowed to leave without being penalized. If you finish your work early, you may be required to sit in the classroom for hours with nothing productive to do. I enrolled because I genuinely wanted to learn HVAC and prepare for a new career. Unfortunately, both instructors left me with the impression that they were more interested in collecting a paycheck than actually teaching their students. The lack of instruction, professionalism, constructive feedback and accountability has made the experience extremely frustrating. Anyone considering Apex should speak with current and former students and carefully research other HVAC programs before enrolling.

The only alternative spaces are the library or cafeteria, both of which have very limited seating. It feels unreasonable to pay out of pocket for an education and not even be allowed to sit in an empty classroom while waiting. We then received another email about elevator use, which is understandable for accessibility reasons. However, the message stated that misuse could result in parent/guardian contact. This is a school of adults, and many of us are parents ourselves. Including language like that clearly shows how little the administration thinks of its students and reinforces the feeling that we are treated like children rather than responsible adults paying for a professional education. Another major concern is the lack of respect and support from some faculty members. For example, Professor Jayne Kier is extremely unapproachable. Students feel uncomfortable asking questions because responses are often sarcastic, dismissive, or met with long, intimidating stares. There is little guidance provided, yet students are made to feel as though they are wrong for seeking help. This creates a stressful and discouraging learning environment. Lastly, it often feels like students cannot safely voice concerns. When issues are brought up to administration, they are dismissed as complaints rather than taken seriously even though many of us are committed, adult learners who care deeply about our education and future careers. It is incredibly disappointing to be treated this way as paying adult students. We invest our time, energy, and money into this program, yet we are treated as if we are receiving a free service and should simply accept it without question. My student advisor confirmed in writing (via Slack DMs) that my final two payments would be canceled and not charged. Weeks later I received an email saying they planned to charge me anyway. They also deleted my student account and removed me from their Slack, which blocked me from accessing the very messages that confirm the cancellation. My request for a copy of those DMs was ignored. I immediately sent a formal revocation of payment authorization and notified my bank because these attempted charges could have overdrawn my account by $1,000+. Fullstack cited a "no refunds after 6 weeks" policy, but in my case they are using it as a loophole to demand money after telling me in writing I wouldn't be charged. This has caused significant stress and wasted hours of my time. I've filed complaints with the CFPB and the NY Attorney General. Policies aside, trustworthy schools honor their written commitments and provide students access to their records. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this program. If you're considering it, get everything in writing and be very cautious about autopay authorizations.
