It calculates out how much things may cost. It really helps with ball parking how much you should budget for flowers. Second of all, David and Chris were able to work out a payment plan. Weddings are really expensive these days, and they don't hit you with one large payment. Lastly, David and Chris are a dream to work with. I had so many other things to worry about, and I didn't have to worry about my flowers. They came out beautifully. I used a mixture of calla lillies and white roses for the bouquets. I had 3 different center pieces. My favorite one included floating candles. David and Chris also gave me suggestions on how to make the table prettier. I had my reception at a hotel and they usually have ugly tea lights. They suggested that I buy regular candles, and they were right. It looked gorgeous.

This is a smaller venue and for the budget we had, it worked perfectly for us. I stumbled upon this venue on Yelp and after reading the reviews, we both knew this was the place for us. I love that they allow you to bring in your own food, alcohol, decorations, and don't force any "preferred" vendors down your throat. This truly helped us stay within our budget. The space itself is just beautiful and charming. High ceilings, lovely hardwood floors, plenty of greenery space surrounding the building to take pictures, and plenty of parking for our guests. They had all the tables and chairs we needed so we didn't have to rent anything and the facility manager was on site during our event so if there was an issue, she was able to assist. We just loved how helpful Cindy and Beth were. From the time we decided to use the space, to the day of our wedding, they were always quick to respond to any questions we had and were just overall helpful. The venue has space that is quite versatile and they setup the area to your needs. It was the charm of the exterior that really helped us make the decision as we knew we would have our celebration during the summer. They have a brick area out front (with lovely string lights that just make it soooo much cuter in the evening) where we ended up having a small ceremony and also used the space as just an area where our guests could come outside, sit, and mingle during our reception. They have a bridal suite, a pretty big kitchen for vendors to use during the event, and a good amount of restrooms for your guests. This is the main room for the bride to get ready, and it's usually a mess. They call it the "art room" and wouldn't really help to de-clutter it for photos. Still, even with these issues, it's a great value for an in-town location and it's a beautiful part of Decatur's history. I love to shoot there, too!

After my order fell short of expectations, I wrote to their customer service department. I received a response almost immediately from their VP. He quickly reviewed the situation and called us with an apology and a promise to please us. Chelsea Floral Design went out of their way to correct their mistake. They also took the extra step of corresponding with us through each step of the process and sending pictures of the completed arrangement. This extra, personal touch is what is missing in the flower business today. When you order from 1-800-flowers or one of these huge national companies you never communicate with the actual florist who is creating your arrangement. I love independent florists and Chelsea Floral Designs has earned a customer that will be back again and again.
