Sean has helped me with my ongoing Pontiac oil leaks. As you may be aware, GM cars often have a tendency for all their seals and O-rings to sort of fall apart sometime after 10 years, which can lead to lots of repairs or replacing the vehicle...or lots of oil leaking & refilling. Sean has saved me some serious $$ on these repairs, as I've made the decision to do them since the engine/tranny of my car seems in good condition still around 120K miles. This latest repair was for my timing chain cover, and then having to later bring it back for a new mysterious loss of oil that turned out to be due to a little oil pressure sensor/switch that suddenly started leaking badly. (...like I said, all the oil thingies leaking all at once on these GM vehicles--you fix one thing, then the next starts) I was a bit freaked out at the sudden oil loss right after an expensive other oil leak repair, but Sean, per usual, was very good at explaining what the repair was and showing me the bad part, as well as, in this case, getting me in & out fast for minimum cost. (And, again, even though some oil leak repairs can be labor intensive/expensive, it's important to again note that Sean's labor rates are anywhere from 30-40% LESS than others shops around town, to say nothing for what a dealership would charge.) All in all, I am very satisfied with Sean's work and professionalism. Finally my garage is free of oil drips and oil smells, as I hope the repairs will get me another couple, few years of use with a GM car that, despite these leak hassles, I really like. In addition, Sean fixed the oil leaks on a friend's van and his father's car for considerably less than what other shops quoted, and they are happy with the repairs. read more

Woke up to a dead car (2011 VW Jetta). Called for a tow, that alone was $100 not to include the dealership diagnostic fee of around another $100 for a diagnostic fee (total: $200). When I looked around online for what the possible problem was it ranged from Ignition Coil ($250-$400), Fuel Pump ($300 - $450) or Alternator ($400-$600), so my expense range was headed towards the $450-$800 range easily. Being from Central Valley, I had a mobile mechanic that was AWESOME but living in LA I didn't have a clue who to call and ask so I ventured onto Yelp and found Sean. I researched his reviews, because as you know, sometimes companies can pay bloggers for good reviews and cheat the system, but after some due diligence Sean seemed to check out. I called, he asked about the car and problem and gave me diagnostic quote that was $20 lower than his next competitor with similar good reviews so I locked it in. First thing I noticed is he was very prompt on his schedule and keep in contact with me via text to let me know he was in route. When he got here, he did the diagnostics, checked the code and thank goodness it was only a dead battery. He took it to get it charged, but the battery was completely dead, so he did some price checking research and helped me save another $40 bucks on the Battery. Long story short Sean saved me time, headache and $200 overall!!! It's very hard to find genuine and honest people in Los Angeles, Sean is definitely one of them and from here on out will be the first if not only person I go to for Car Mechanical needs. read more

Please don't be fooled with all the 5 start reviews, most likely they are all FAKE! or written by his own family or friends I had a similar experience as "Marc J." two rows below! unfortunately I did not do my research and was fooled by a few good reviews, and I fell right in his trap like many others He is a true big bad wolf dressed in the sheep skin, he comes across all nice and sincere , but then he sticks it you with his crazy outrageous bills , bull shit charges and diagnostics that most likely he never performs. he jacks up his invoices by doubling or even tripling the parts cost and he is never honest about how labor cost...so you are basically at the mercy of whatever he asks he does not even honor his own warranty.I really regret spending close to $1500 with him in less than a month and my car is till not running and had the audacity to ask for even more money just to look at the car, after it failed in less than a week it was " supposedly fixed" Stay the hell away from this guy! Sean is a really knowledgeable mechanic and a real professional (hard to find). To start with, I was planning to buy a car from a dealer in the nearby San Fernando area and I needed a mechanic to come over and inspect the car. After some search, I come across Sean's store in Yelp and based on the reviews I thought to give it a try. Sean come over did a very careful inspection and he found two problems with the car, leaking oil pan and torn left front axle. I asked him what would be the total cost of fixing this and he gave me a very reasonable and affordable price. He also helped me to explain to the dealer what was actually wrong which eventually got me a better deal since I needed to fix the car myself. I finally bought the car and drove to Sean to leave it there for repair. Within one day Sean had all the parts fixed, and the car looked like brand new. This man and his shop is a true blessing. I was in LA from Sacramento stuck on the side of the road with an overheating car an miles away from home while all shops around me we closing. I came across sean and his shop my while desperately search for help on google. I called a few mobile mechanics an not one person took me serious or took the time to help. One I reach him I knew that he was genuine and was willing to help just by his demeanor and professionalism. Long story short he walked me through how to get my car to his shop driving it slowy an cautiously. Sean allowed me to keep him there passed his work hours and He didnt leave there until midnight! After all said n done when it came time to pay I didnt have enough money to pay him for his great service time and labor. I I feel so terrible because he was the only one who was willing to and did help. There needs to be a 7 star option for this one! Sean's Mobile Auto saved me and my 3 year old daughter when we were stranded at her daycare with a bad ignition switch. Sean came out and had the car running in no time. I've had a lot of bad experiences with mechanics, so it's a relief to know that there is someone I can rely on to repair my car. Sean is very professional and eager to help. He also doesn't mind explaining what's being replaced and why. This made me feel very comfortable to know exactly what I was being charged for and helped me make the the right decision. I have an extended warranty on my Van and dealership did not cover my specific problem. They quoted me an outrageous price so I decided to call around and get quotes from independent mechanic shops. I called over half a dozen repair shops and thank God and Google I found Sean's mobile auto tech! I know my way around cars and when I spoke with Sean, I knew he was honest and professional. His prices are so good I had him fix a bunch of other small things. Door handles, headlights, new battery, etc.. Left my van there for a few days and got it back good as new! I found Sean Because he was close by to my apartment, and lucky me. Sean and Joe are some of the most nicest mechanics I've had to pleasure of meeting since moving out to LA. I took my car in for a check up and they gave an honest report with only a suggestion of having my control arms fix. What I liked most is when the part was out of stuck , instead of pushing to go with another part that was more expensive. He asked what I wanted to do and when I asked if it would be okay to wait, he said yes and didnt try to scare me into fixing it at that moment. SEAN THE DON!! My car had problems with the battery, so I live next door to these guys. I walk over and ask for them to jumpstart my car and they agree to come to my place and jump-start for me AT NO COST. Well, we all know a jumpstart is a sign of a car needing a new battery, so I decide to just tell him to get me a new battery. while we wait for the battery, I decide to get an oil change since it was due. I also inform him of "other" problems my car has been having; ignition hissing sound, car vibration when on idle. He says he will have a look and give me a call. so I leave the car and go home. He calls me later and he has a solution to all the other issues my car had. Long story short, hours later I go pick my car up, everything runs smooth, feel like it's new. When my wheel exploded on the highway, nothing was going right until I got in touch with Sean. He helped order a Tow, and even stayed very late after closing to get my car looked at. Sean's inspection of the car was thorough, and very transparent. He has a great online system where you can see photos of your car taken during the inspection. Not only was my car fixed quickly it was also done for a great price. Sean even fixed a drift in steering that my car had that was missed at the last service I had (at a different location). So happy to have found a great mechanic in LA! So far Sean has fixed 2 different issues with my car earlier this year. Yesterday I brought it in to get an oil change and a tire rotation and I couldn't find the key to the wheel locks to get the tires off (doh!) but Sean was able to get them off anyway and get me on my way. My Chrysler 200's radiator hose broke while I was driving so I called the nearest mobile mechanic I could find. Sean was very thorough with the questions he asked and even though I ended up buying the replacement part and installing it myself to save money, he was kind enough to scan my car at his shop and make sure everything was running great for free. I had a terrible experience with Sean's Auto Care in Van Nuys. We had both a verbal and written agreement that my out-of-pocket costs would not exceed $200 under the Cool Air Rebate Program. Despite this, Sean demanded $350, kept asking for more money for parts, and refused to release my car until I paid. He also failed to identify what actually needed to be fixed during the initial diagnosis. Even after paying, my A/C was still not fixed. I highly recommend Sean's Mobile Auto Tech. Not only one, but two of my brake lights went out. It was a Saturday and my usually mechanic was closed. My boyfriend looked on yelp and we found Sean. Not only was he open on Saturday's, but he also will come to your house if you need him to. He was right down the street so I called him to see if he had time to fix both break lights and he did. I had a coolant leak on my 2001 Chevy Suburban in the summer and Sean came to my home on the eve of his vacation to fix my car. He was very professional and he not only fix the beak, but gave the car motor a once over and had some recommendations of getting some items replace. Sean's been working on my cars for years now. He's done everything from small things like changing out seat belt buckles all the way up to big projects like completely replacing the suspension on my Corolla. Sean is also awesome at handling ridiculous issues that you really wouldn't think a mechanic handles, such as replacing the burnt out light bulbs in my dashboard. Great guy! If I could give 0 stars I would have!! Expensive, what they coat as mobile Mechanic is bs! At least 300$ before even start working. False diagnosis n rebuild batteries and parts but over charged. Spend 2 k on the car for the battery n did not even last 6 months. And wanted another 1 k for the same job. Joke I won't ever recommend them for any kinda job.
