I called Steven before I bought a used car. The dealership was out in the middle of nowhere, but he still came out to look at the potential purchase. I was expecting a "casual glance and test drive," but he took his time and went through every aspect of the car. He took videos of everything he checked including the different parts of the test drive! He thoroughly checked everything and anytime he found something, he brought me over, showed me exactly what he was talking about, and how vital it was to be repaired. When he was finished, he gave me a complete report and let me know when to expect the inspection file and repair estimate. He provided exact details of what the car needed, an estimate of the value of the car, and a complete visual record of the car at date of purchase. Additionally, the estimated repair costs were extremely fair. I felt confident in my purchase and I will be taking my car to him to make the repairs. Not sure if this guy has recently started this business and therefore lacks the number of reviews, but he is friendly and professional with his work. Within one days notice, he was able to meet me at the prospective BMW dealer that I was at looking at a CPO 2011 BMW 328i. While it is "certified pre-owned" and is backed by an extended but limited warranty, I frankly never take someone's word for the condition of a vehicle. Steve was thorough with his inspection of the vehicle. He checks out all electrical components of the vehicle, looks at the body work of the vehicle to check and see if it has previously been in an accident, test drives the vehicle to inspect transmission and any peculiar noises. Takes tons of pictures documenting any findings and even includes videos. While he is a bit higher price wise than AIM(larger competitor), he makes himself available on Sundays which is something they do not. Overall, I was very satisfied with his PPI of my BMW, and thankfully most everything checked out and the things that didn't are being replaced under warranty of the vehicle. A+++ read more

Steve was on time to arrive at the dealer where I was buying the car from , one he arrived he let us know that it would take roughly about 90 minutes to do the inspection. he checked the outer body and the inside of the car meticulously including all lighting, took and many pictures for my review. then he jacked up the car and went under and checked the suspension and underbelly of the car working from the front of the car to the tail pipes afterwords took the car for a test drive with me and the sales rep for the road test, where he checked how well the car worked under pressure of tight turns and immediate stops and took video of the process which he later sent to me with the picture and inspection report and repair cost of the things that needed to be fixed. I'm very impressed with punctuality, reliability and his thoroughness. I will use him again and recommend to friends and family. read more

What a great service! I called Steve from Canada about a Range Rover Classic down in Encino I was interested in and he was on his way to inspect it less than 2 hours later. The report I got back was excellent. 75 pictures, 15 videos, 2 technical reports, overall evaluation and an estimate for the work that the car needed. Steve was incredibly thorough on what he found on the car that needed attention. The cost of the service was very reasonable, and has probably saved me a good couple of grand on things that the seller hadn't told me about - buying a car from so far away is fraught with problems, but if I go ahead and buy it now I'll be doing so with no nasty surprises, and I can use the report on the car as a bargaining tool on the price. 100% recommend Car Inspectors if, like me, you are looking at spending decent money on a used car. read more

These guys rock! I called them on a whim as my engineering buddy was not in town and I had four vehicles I wanted to check out. I work all day so never really have time to go check out cars. I dropped them a line, they hit me back and had all the cars inspected the next day, complete with full reports, photo assessments, and specifications. I have found Steve's troubleshooting abilities as a mechanic to be very keen and for his prices to be very reasonable. For example I was having problems with my 1989 Thunderbird engine. It would race instead of slowing down to idle speed when I came to a stop. A few mechanics had me replace a few parts but the problem still persisted. They couldn't figure it out. When I had Steve look at it he took his ohm meter and determined that the throttle speed potentiometer controlled by the gas peddle was no good. He replaced it and it fixed the problem. I think he is not only a very good car inspector, but he is a great mechanic. read more
