The mechanics are also the cashiers and customer service reps and you are bothering them by being there (no kidding, really). Worst shop I have ever been too. The manager "Chaz" has some sort of learning disability and was extremely rude to me. I was inquiring about the status of my vehicle and he just creepily glared at me, twitching his arm. He asked me if I was lost, after I had dropped my vehicle off with him an hour earlier. The people who work at this shop are definitely idiots. My girlfriend took her car here after telling them she knew it had a bad O2 sensor. First they said they didn't work with warranty companies (but the manager later said they did) then they told her they didn't have the tool to replace the O2 sensor after she left her car with them for several hours. It seemed like they didn't even know which tool they needed. Clueless mechanics and poor service. Never take your car here! read more

WARNING, DON'T TAKE YOUR Vehicle here because they might wreck it for you!!! I wanted to let everyone out there know that not all of the mechanics at Sears Auto Center know what they are doing. I previously bought tires at Sears as I have been doing for several years. I took my van in for the tires to be rotated before going on a trip. The mechanic who did it put my van up on the lift wrong and bent my frame. He also rotated a tire which had broken the steel belt and was in very bad condition without mentioning there was a problem. Since I expect that when I walk in the door and it says all their mechanics are certified, I never expected that I had to crawl under my van to check for damage. It was only when I took my van to have my oil changed that I had the damage called to my attention. I took it back to Sears the same day, and the on site manager called his District Manager after reviewing the damage and I was asked to go to a body shop and get an estimate to fix my van. Than several weeks later I was told "you can't prove we did this" more or less "screw you". Please note that I have been horsed around for over 6 weeks now and only after calling their corporate office​ in Chicago and threatening to get an attorney was I finally given the opportunity to contact their insurance carrier. They had ME find another garage to take it to to put it up on a lift so their inspector could verify the damage. Today I had a call they were going to pay for the damage, than probably 5 minutes later I received another call that "oops, your van isn't worth that much, we're only going to give you this." I know the book value on my van is more than they're offering but it looks like we will be going to court to settle this. So my advice is DONT TAKE YOUR CAR/VAN TO SEARS FOR ANY TYPE OF WORK, OR YOU CAN FIND YOURSELF BEING SCREWED BY THIS CORPORATION TOO. I had the worst experience here! It's a bunch of incompetent kids who won't get off their phones or computer. I was in the waiting area for an hour while they were supposedly working on my car until they realized they didn't even know what they were supposed to be doing to it. I demanded my car back and didn't pay a dime. I wouldn't take my car there for anything more than an oil change or tire rotation but even those options are offered at better prices and faster service elsewhere. read more

I also had the worst experience here. Monday, while passing by, I stopped in to have 2 new front tires put on my Honda Accord. I was told that the cost would be approximately $500, which I couldn't believe. Alex told me that Michelin only makes 2 tires for my car and that I had to take an expensive one with a 90,000 warranty. Believing him, I agreed. I was told not to worry - that they would be aligning and balancing the tires and made it appear as if was included in the $500 cost. When I received my invoice, I was charged $90 for an all-wheel alignment(which I didn't want and has resulted in the rear end of the car being more out of alignment now than on Monday) and I was also charged over $20 per tire for a road hazard agreement, which I absolutely didn't want. I called Tuesday to discuss my invoice. I was told my call would be returned and it never was. I called again today(Wednesday) and was gruffly asked what the problem was. I had 2 - the road hazard agreement and the poor alignment. I was told I had to come back into the shop with my Sears Card to receive a refund on the road hazard plan. I live 80 miles from the auto center and asked to make the adjustment over the phone. I was told "ABSOLUTELY NOT". We never got to the alignment problem because Alex hung up the phone on me. When I called back and rang over 30 times, they would not answer my call - just picked up the phone and hung it up again. As a result, I called the store manager. No answer. Left a message. No call back. I am not finished yet. I dealt with the Sears Auto Center at the Schuylkill Mall for 40 years until it closed and never had a problem. read more

We have been loyal customers for oil changes and inspections for many years. No longer. My family van broke down in front of your Sears location in Wyomissing, PA. We had it towed there. After taking a day to diagnose they told us that the battery exploded and gave us a new one and sent us on our way. 2 days later the new battery exploded. Instead of offering us a refund (even after a request) for misdiagnosing the problem, we were told tough luck from our friendly representative. No refunds, no offer to help, not even a sorry for the misdiagnosis. Meanwhile I had a wife and kids stuck out in the cold AGAIN waiting for ANOTHER tow truck. A very poor experience. read more
