I called around and everyone laughed and said good luck. When I called Jose at Tire Palace he said, "No problem, I have a used one of those in stock". I had AAA get the car there right before closing and the guys got my tire off, balanced and replaced in about 15 minutes without marking the wheel - I actually own an automotive shop and this is not an easy wheel/tire to mount. When I asked how much, he could have told me any amount - I was at his mercy. Jose chose not to take advantage of that. Jose saved me about $1000 in hotel costs and a new Pirelli tire. He also saved me the thousands I would have lost by having my business closed the next day. He charged me $65+tax... Class act Jose!

When I asked how much I owed, they told me there was no charge. What they probably saw as a quick favor was a huge act of kindness to me. Life has been throwing a lot at me lately, and they took this problem that could have been the last straw for me, and they made it disappear. They were patient, helpful, professional, and genuinely kind. Customer service is one thing. Human kindness is another. Yesterday, this team gave me both, and I am incredibly grateful. Thank you for helping me when I really needed it. I'll remember it for a long time.

They however scheduled me at noon the next day and claimed I would be a priority. What happened was similar result. After one hour of waiting I approached manager to find out it would be at least another hour. They are back to their old management style - no customer support. I spent nearly four hours of my time trying to get a simple service and paid for gas on two trips to shop only to walk out with NO SERVICE!

My coworker suggested I call her place, Adam's Tire, as they are "the best place/deal in town" and she was right. Adams Tire quoted me $112. Mr. and Mrs. Adams were so nice and friendly and even stayed late to make sure they got my new tire on before the snow storm; as I work till 5pm which is when they close. They seemed very honest and trustworthy and Mr. Adams even explained/educated on things about my popped tire and slightly bent rim so I know to check my air pressure going forward and to keep an eye on it. Bottom line: they are trustworthy, extremely nice, and the best deal in town! They will be my new tire place going forward.

After hearing about this business on the Reading AM radio station I tried them out for a new battery. Their service caused me to return a few months later for 4 new tires. The folks here are straight forward and are always a source of recommendations about your options. They do not just try to sell you the most profitable item but what is best for you. Their prices seems pretty competitive with the chains and your money stays local. They are not the closest tire business to me but they have become my preferred business.

PLEASE READ BEFORE GOING TO THIS LOCATION…read more Purchased four new WeatherReady 2 tires for $1400 to have them installed. Before leaving, I did not check to make sure my tires were on the correct way (because one would assume your tires would be put on the correct way?). The next day I realized that these directional tires were ALL PUT ON BACKWARDS. I returned to the shop who confirmed the tires were all on backwards. Manager stated he was going to "beat the guy who did this." They were able to place the four tires on the correct way within the hour. Nonetheless, this is not a mistake I would expect any reputable tire center to make, as having four directional tires placed on backwards is a major safety risk in winter weather. I took my car for a state inspection the next day, and was notified by the inspector that there is damage to the inside of all four of my cars rims. The damage can be clearly seen on one of the tires in the video attached to the review. I returned to the shop to show them the video and let them know about the damage. They informed me "that type of damage is normal, it's from the wheel clamps that we use." After coming back a second time to have the manager review the damages (after he did not show up for the initial appointment I scheduled) he confirmed that one of the rims did have damage that was excessive. The other three tires have pin marks from the wheel clamp that he would consider normal (please see attached photo of "normal" damage to tires that happens to all tires changed at the shop) He offered to have the one damaged rim repaired as a solution. I was told I could drop the vehicle off at 8am and the fix would only take two hours. After not hearing anything by 12pm, I called for an update and was notified that it would not be completed until 4pm. Unfortunately I was not able to go to work this day because of the delay. In the end, the repair was completed by 530pm. All this said, I paid $1400 for four backwards tires, one damaged rim (now I have a refurbished rim), three rims with pin marks in the rim, over 5 trips to the shop, and a missed day of work. This was one of the worst experiences I have ever had with an automobile business and would strongly advise anyone considering going here to go to another shop.

I gave them one of old ones, and when I drove away my balance was still off. I went straight to mavis by giant and they confirmed the balance was way off. long story I went in for tire and wheel change, I came out with a bent ri, unbalanced car, and 285$ for what the other shop said should be 161. I am filing a law suit and I will be filing with better business bureau. This will be resolved and I encourage no one to use Monroe.
