I have waited for 5 hours for my service technician. The technician was to call my cell number when he was on his way. He arrived at the house, but was given the incorrect phone number by Sears, so I had no idea he was on schedule and at my house. I have been on the phone with Sears Home Services for 1 hour, to no avail. Sears can't seem to answer when the tech. will arrive. Sears is using some incorrect phone number to call me.After two phone calls to Sears (in SE Asia), I am unable to have them use my correct phone number. Please save yourself frustrations. They are scammers, hiring inexperienced techs who have no idea what they are doing, and when said we would be refunded we kept getting the run-around and talking to numerous people saying to wait for the refund within 48-72 hours. The 1 star reviewers got it right! The technician who showed up did not diagnose anything. Turned on the washer, pressed the start button a few times and then let me know it was going to be $350+ to fix. $288 for labor and 88$ for the part. I went on Amazon, bought the part for $13.95 and fixed it myself, Thank you YouTube, in under 15 minutes. If they are saying that the labor was going to be $288 to fix, and I was able to fix this issue in under 15 minutes, I dont ever want a Sears tech in my home again because either they are wildly incompetent or practicing the art of highway robbery. If I could give zero stars, I would. Our home warranty company, American Home Shield, assigned this business to repair our washing machine in April 2024. After six appointments (only three of which were kept) and two service fees with AHS, we still have no working washer. Technician arrived yesterday, apologized for all the frustration, said he finally had the part we needed. This morning, we put a load in our washer only to find the machine still does not work. This rating is not a reflection on the good work performed by the repairman. It is a reflection of the poor communication I received from Sears in general. They make it abundantly clear that they don't want to talk to you by forcing you to utilize the forms online for communication or a chatbot. If you want to speak to a human, you literally have to call a department that has nothing to do with your repair schedule just so you can hopefully get tranferred to someone who can help you. read more

The technician was fine. We paid him the $99 for the consultation. However, the nightmare started with a bill from the company for the $99 that was already paid. Their billing only use an automated service so we could not reach anyone to provide evidence of payment or resolve the issue. They did not respond to my emails. Things are set up so that you habe NO HUMAN contact once they send a bill. Don't use Sears unless you want to pay double for the service rendered!! Buyer beware. Stay away! They sent someone from "Enhance Appliance Repair" to take a look. This scam company did not send in a report to Sears Home Services & Sears is unable to get one from them. Cannot speak to anyone with any authority. Call center in India totally unhelpful. Have been trying to get our fridge/freezer looked at under the extended service plan (it's totally not working) and we have been given the run around for over a week. Call center workers give contradicting information; have no notes of previous calls, say that there are no supervisors to speak to. Another reviewer mentioned class action suit. Is that doable? To be clear, this review is NOT about the gentleman who came to my home. He was as frustrated as I was. No, this review is about the customer service I received leading up to and after this visit. I originally called to report my problem on 7/12. Because my refrigerator was still under warranty, the earliest appointment they could give me was 6/26. Though, when I went online, I did see that there was an appointment for 6/23, so I rescheduled for that day. I received numerous emails and texts confirming that date. However, mid-afternoon on the 23rd I get a text telling me that the technician could not reach me so my appointment needed to be rescheduled. I have no record on my cell phone that the technician ever tried to reach me at any point that day. I do not have a home phone, so my cell was the only way they could reach me. When I call to reschedule the appointment, I was told the earliest someone could come to my house is 8/6. When I expressed dismay, the woman on the phone told me that she would put me on the "emergency services" list and that someone would reach out to me within 24-72 hours to let me know when a technician could come to my house. Needless to say, I never heard from anyone. When I called again, another woman told me that there was no emergency service and what that meant is that someone would call IF there was a cancelation. While I still had my 8/6 appointment, because they again assured me that that was the earliest someone could get to me, I went back online to see if there had been any cancellations. I was surprised to find that there was indeed an appointment available THAT VERY DAY. Unbeknownst to me, I had gotten the scheduling for equipment that was NOT under warranty. In other words, if I were a paying client I could get service ASAP, but since I was still under warranty and NOT paying, I had to wait. The gentleman who came to my door could not have been nicer. Unfortunately, he was also not certified to deal with my type of refrigerator. He patiently listened as I argued with yet another woman on the phone when she tried to explain that the bottom freezer was NOT under warranty but the top refrigerator was and that since this was a call for the freezer, I had to pay. It took her about ten minutes to finally get the fact that there was only ONE appliance. And while I did not end up paying the fee, I did learn that my warranty expired on 7/25. It is very suspicious to me that when I initially call, the earliest appointment I can get is 7/26. When I go online and reschedule for 7/23, the technician mysteriously cannot reach me and cancels my appointment. I will be OUTRAGED if when the technician comes tomorrow, they tell me that I am out of warranty and that I have to pay for the call and for the parts. But, you know that is what is going to happen. And the more people I have told about this, the more stories like this I have heard. read more

I received an email from Sears Home Warranty that the repair service window was between 8 am to 5 pm today; however, the technician's email noted an arrival time of 5:38-6:08 a.m. Suspecting that the email contained a typo, I placed a phone call to the warranty company to confirm the real arrival time. It took me almost three HOURS to reach a live person, and when I did, he told me to disregard the email about the arrival time because there is a glitch in their system. (I'll say!) When I asked for a real confirmation time, I was routed back into their automated system, where I heard the maddening voice message "a technician will arrive at 5:38 am..." Just as there are almost no options to receive live support, I assume no one is going to show up to do the repair. read more

I called sears service to repair 15 year old Kenmore refrigerator. The service tech called me before coming to my house and ask me the issues with refrigerator. I told him freezer and refrigerator was not cooling and I ask him is 15 year old refrigerator worth fixing and he told if the coil had a leak or if compress or was bad the repair would be more than refrigerator was worth but it would be worth repairing if it had a fan or defrost issue. I told him to come on and go forward with the repair. He found the issue was the board that controls the defrost was defective and unfortunately the part is no longer supported. I would have not had him work on refrigerator if I would have known parts were not available. this cost me $159 for nothin. Never again will I buy or call Sears for support. read more

Sears home services is an all around failure. Sears had a good name but no more. It took them over two months and over 15 calls for them to replace a washer that is under warranty. Only by contacting by email the CEO and similar upper management was I able to acquire someone's attention who was competent to handle this issue that lasted over two months. Two months of stalling, repeated calls, and avoiding replacement. When the replacement was finally ordered Sears did not want to pay for the optional stacking kit that was originally designed for the unit. Don't buy any warranty services from Sears. They are a failing company and Transformco who handles their home services is horrible as well. read more

Had a dryer issue. took them two weeks to get there after not showing up for a scheduled appointment. Then the tech says its the heater element I order a new one. Then says its a week to get. Three weeks go buy no call no nothing. we call sears directly. They say they never ordered the part. Then I call the Service place. They keep saying they ordered it. I say send me the tracking number. They cant find it. three more weeks they finally get the part and schedule the appointment and then never show up three times. I have had them call the day of THREE times now to let me know that the technician called in and that we need to reschedule. Their availability is abismal as well, with available appointments two weeks out. The first time they cancelled, they called 10 minutes after the four hour appointment window to let me know the techician called out. Utterly ridiculous!! read more

Poor service. No one can answer questions. Ice maker service call in October. Told motor needed to be replaced by technician. Asked to pay upfront for service and part. Scheduled repair for one week out. Part back ordered. Repair delayed 3 times. No one could tell me when the part would come in. Bought ice cube trays. Cancelled the order Nov. 8. Told refund would take up to three weeks. Called in December and told refund was pending but they would expedite it. Called in January and was told my refund was still pending, so U adked to speak with supervisor. I was told one would call me back. Jan. 24, still no refund and no phone call. I urge people reading this to call any other repair service except Sears! Terrible and you can't get your money back. Tough for those of us on fixed incomes!!! OMG these crooks, I had a service guy out March 23 2024 to check my Fridge which cost $120. The fridge needs a LG compressor replaced per service. We decided to repair the cost was $609.87. I paid the technician on the spot they were shipping parts. The follow up appt was scheduled for April 1st 2024 between 8-5pm well I had a text at 6.30am saying repair appt was confirmed and guess who never showed. Waited til 6.30pm called 3 times during day to get an estimated time for tech arrival - nothing. They said the computer systems had been down since Friday, haha - their text message for appt confirmation was a dead end '500 / please try again in awhile', all week now same message. Well over 5 hours on phone only now Thursday to be told they couldn't reschedule because tech left the repair open. While on the call I logged in Sears.com home repairs it says completed. Customer service rep from India says he put in a request to contact that should happen within 72hrs well don't include the weekend. Anybody need a $1435 boat anchor. Never again!!! I scheduled a repair for my dryer and after paying 350.00 for replacing a 20.00 belt it broke after it's first use. Then they wanted to charge me another 119.00 fee to come back, then after waiting for the tech. for 6 hours they never even showed up?
