The tech arrived promptly and that was the end of my satisfaction. After running diagnostics I was informed that the part plus labor would be about $800. I paid about that much for the washer. I decided that since the washer was still available I would just buy a new one. After the tech left WITH my $138 service fee I reviewed the receipt and found that the part was going to cost me $326 and the receipt showed no other labor other than the $138 service fee. After searching online I found multiple sources for the part for $100 or less. How does THAT total "about $800"? THE MATH AIN'T MATHING! Just another bait and switch scam! read more

While the technician, Oj. B was pleasant and professional; the outcome was not. After waiting for about 2 weeks to get the diagnosis and repair for 2 refrigerators, he informed us that he didn't have the parts! Mind you, when I called (3 times), noted it on the website and also via THREE AI chats that the problem seemed to be the top fan of each refrigerator, (no cooling at the top), the fans were not brought to the appointment. How is that possible? We were told to be specific with our concerns to make sure the tech. would be prepared and bring the required parts, yet he wasn't. I'm very dissatisfied with the customer service side. I had an appointment for 8/11 and was given 8:00-5:00 time for the appointment which is my entire day. At 4:00 p.m. I was sent a reset appointment for 8/13 message with out having a conversation or apology for missing the scheduled appointment. I reset the appointment for today and again given 8:00-5:00 time schedule, again the full day waiting not knowing when. Randy is worthless as a technician and lies about what happens. He came out the other day and did not hook anything up. He said the work order was only for 1 unit and not two and he couldn't do the other. I asked him to cancel this and I can reschedule. He wrote that the machine wasn't working etc. Which is false, he was only there for preventative maintenance. This is not the first or second time he has lied or messed things up. Total waste of money. Requested service on my Samsung refrigerator. The icemaker was jamming up and the freezer department was developing ice on the door. Technician advised us to unplug the refrigerator and let the icemaker thaw out. Online search provided me information that this was a common problem with Sampson would do the repair for no charge. The technician advised us that the ice on the freezer door could be repaired with a purchase of an $800 part as directed by Sears policy or we could open up the freezer door and repair it ourselves with a few washers. So I don't know what my $179 service fee provided me. Sorry will not use again. read more

William the technician arrived on time and did a very good job diagnosing and repairing my refrigerator issue. It took over 3 months to get this service job done!!! There is no communication with Sears verbally. It would take me over 3 weeks to get a technician appointment to find out the appointment was canceled and rescheduled when the technician did not show up. I will not renew my warranty service once it comes do!!! I cannot call the technician or Sears to communicate issues with the company concerning my repair verbally!!! The technician that came out after I received the part was very professional and efficient. He was a 5 star, however dealing with the customer service department to set-up a schedule is time consuming and chaotic. Had to call multiple times, gave them my phone # and email address and each time they sent the text and email to the incorrect # and address. The part order was ordered and cancelled twice but they had no explanation for this. Also very difficult to understand the customer service representative as english is not their first language. I have used the Sears Warranty Service for many years I wish is worked the way it did in the beginning. They were a 5 star now are a 3 star. read more

The communication was not good during this repair. I don't know that my problem is actually even fixed because now it's too warm to tell if the heat is working. And as soon as I turned on the air, it is already leaking. There are several other workmanship things but I'm too over it to even go in more detail. Really disappointed with the service. read more

The repairman was very nice and polite. However, he was in a rush and spent only about 20-30 minutes here. I explained the situation. He emptied my ice maker and ran it under hot water. Told me it was frozen--that was all. I asked if he were sure since we had no ice left to run through it. He was positive. That was Thursday, so I decided to let the ice fill up again. Today the ice is not dispensing at all. I will have to reschedule the entire job. read more

Extremely disappointed in the service call today about our refrigerator. Completely disagreed with the technician's assessment, who didn't spend more than 5 minutes assessing the real issues. We called Sears based on what we thought was a reputable track record and it was a waste of $100. Even more disappointing was the fact that when we called to report our concern, we were told to call back in 3 days. No consideration given to our issue--felt like we were completely dismissed by all that we came in contact with. Despite request to speak to management, it wasn't honored. We will continue to pursue this and get our money back--even if it means escalating on legal grounds. read more

The only reason this is as high as 2 out of 5 is that the techinician was fantastic. Other than that, Sears required a 9 hr window (8-5). When they called me on Friday to confirm and I explained that a 9 hr window is abusive, they said they would have someone come between 1:15 and 3:15. When I called this morning to confirm that, it had changed to 3:30-5:30. There was no way to speak with anyone in dispatch. I was, however, promised a phone call from dispatch twice. Niether happened. Sears has now surpassed at&t as the absolute worst customer service that I've experienced in my 60+ years. I was sent a text from Searstelling me that the tech will be coming 5-6 PM. N0 show at 6:00 PM; I called back and was told the time would change to March 15, 2022. Horrible experience buying a $1,000 GE refrigerator with a $600 supposed extended warranty, scratch and dent from American Freight in Mandarin. Humming noise so loud, you can hear in the next toom. Last of three technician visit, the one who ordered a part to fix that very noise refused to install after weeks and hours messing around sending differrnt parts, did not install part he ordered, lying that the humming noise was normal. Our 5 year old Kenmore Elite fridge which is really an LG started making a lot of noise and it was due to the coils icing over and the fan blade was hitting the ice. Unfortunately we had the all too common coil leak that these units are known for. This is as a pricey repair too - especially considering the age of the appliance. Despite waiting 6 plus weeks on parts- the repair person actually did a great job and even tracked down an additional part for us when he determined it was needed - same day! This was a big job that required a new compressor and took several hours. Needless to say I am not so happy with the reliability of LG refrigerators. Had a Samsung before the LG and it died in 9 months with a similar issue and was not repairable so the LG did a bit better. So it's been over a week and it's still cooling so fingers crossed that it stays fixed now! read more
