The worst repair company in the world. a negative 5000. It is an ongoing saga of the worst service ever! Automated Hell is set up so that you can never reach a person. They had me wait all day one Saturday July 13--no show no call and I could only reach a national number after 45 minutes. Never once were the words, 'I am sorry' uddered. Then they came over a week later only to order parts. That was 7/25 and one of the two parts came. It was a reconditioned part that looked like this wasn't its first recondition job. On my appt. day, I was given an automated call to call another automated number to tell them whether the parts came. Not one of the options fitted my situation. I started trying different options until after 46 minutes I found the right one. They are telling me that I will have to wait until September 26 for the part before they escalate the matter. It is my refrigerator. not one burner on a 6 burner stove. AND the joke is I have to call them via automated hell to reschedule when the part comes. read more

The tech was nice, but the repair window of 8 hours is ridiculous. My tech was supposed to get there around 11:45, then it changed to 1:30, then he finally got there around 2:30. There is no way to contact Seats to ask when the tech will actually get there. It basically wastes your whole day. I had to reschedule my appointment the first time they set it, because the estimated time of arrival eventually turned out to be after 5 pm and I couldn't wait. read more

My Washing Machine could no longer spin and I looked up the symptoms and the code it was giving online. The piece that controls the spin was stripped and no longer working. When I. Alex to make the service appointment, I gave explicit details of the problem, the codes and what the Internet said was the problem. I requested that the repairman have the needed part on his truck. The repairman came and evaluated the situation , confirmed and explained the problem, which was exactly what I had determined it was. Gave me an estimate and made the repair and was done in just a little over an hour of his arrival. I was thrilled! I know that the repairmen can't carry all the needed parts on their trucks at all times, but I was glad he had what was needed. I don't know if it was because I had specified what the problem was when calling it in, or if I was just lucky that he happened to have it with me. I had worried about how long it might have been if I had had to order a new machine and wait for delivery -- and with supply chain issues, I might not have been able to get what I wanted in a timely manner. Getting service and repair on the same day was a win- win and I couldn't be more pleased. The technician can was wonderful. He made sure we were taking care of. Sears home services on the other hand has been putting off our washer repair for about 2 and 1/2 months. They keep canceling our service orders and rescheduling them pushing them out farther and farther. When you complain to a rep all they do is say that they'll see what they can do about it and then just push your service date out and never do anything. They had canceled our service appointment again today and we texted Ken and he made sure to put us on his route and got our washer fixed. I would recommend Ken over and over again but as far as serious home services will be canceling this plan. read more

After my washer was "diagnosed " to need a suspension rod, the part was ordered and I requested it to be put on and make sure that's what the problem was. Cornelius ordered a replacement part - this technician said it wasn't necessary! There is a strange noise during washers spin cycle that wasn't there prior to service. We'll see! read more

We are disappointed. Our service person was polite, however, with each visit, there seemed to be something else wrong with the refrigerator when it should have been diagnosed the first time. We were either told that there was another part needed or that it really could not be fixed. I needed a valve replaced on my Kenmore ice maker. The part is about $99 on their website. The technician wanted to charge a flat rate of $678 for the part and installation. He said it was a flat rate, so even if it too 10 minutes to install it would be $678. I said no, thanks. read more

The service window was from 8am-5pm. I heard nothing all day from Sears. Finally, at 6:30pm, I get a call and a text that a tech is on the way. I am the landlord in this situation and made plans to be available in the suggested time frame, so was then unable to be there at 7pm at night. My tenants were also not prepared for someone to come this late. The tech got there, and according to my tenant "barged in and demanded a phone charger" without introducing himself. He never told me his name either, but he called me to make sure the service was going to be paid for and then, upon completion, told me that he wasn't going to leave the house until I paid. I never had any intention of not paying and it made me feel wildly uncomfortable - for myself and my tenant. He also said he wasn't going to charge me for any labor yet the entire invoice was for labor. I have zero faith in the service he actually provided and feel that I just had $150 stolen from me. Do not buy this service. It is false advertisement. They took $49.99 a month since 2017 from my 89 year old mother and will not fix anything. When you get someone on the phone they put you on hold and hang up. I will continue to post about this until someone/supervisor from Sears calls me at 931-273-8504. I will do it each day until someone calls. How awful for a store that old people trusted to do this to them. There is no one to talk to but people who talk to you for a minute then hang up. I have received an email for a month that I will be hearing from a repair service person within 24 to 48 hoursto replace her oven. Nothing! Then a few days later get the same email. Called to schedule repair for my Maytag Bravo XL washing machine and included panel error code when scheduling. The error code related to a specific part problem. They scheduled a time to be at my home 8AM - 5PM on a work day. So I work from home that day and they show up at 3:00PM. Fine. Then he tells me that he didn't bring the part with him to make the repair and he will have to order it and have it shipped to me, then come back when the part is delivered. I can't be there on the date he scheduled, so I paid an assistant to be there 8AM - 5 PM and confirmed the part was delivered. At noon on the repair day, I receive a text stating that they had ordered my part (no, it was already delivered) and had rescheduled my repair for the following day (no, no one will be there). No way to get anyone on the phone or even chat with anyone real time. Just Bots and auto menu to things that want to sell you something. Sears used to be THE standard for all aspects of home appliances, but this is some next level awful service that is both poor quality and arrogant in that they assume their clients will just be there whenever they want for an entire day, only to NOT meet their service agreements. Also very expensive. Whoever is in charge of this company, please pay attention: Your service is awful with a capital A. Really bad. What you promote on your website is the complete opposite of what you provide. If that's intention, then bravo for misrepresenting your company to the general public. If not, you might want to revisit how your company does things because it is nowhere near acceptable, let alone high quality. read more

Pathetic and incompetent. I have (had) American Home Shield. Two different problems in roughly two weeks with different appliances. AHS sent Sears to repair both. The first time was a dryer. Sears came and did hack job repair. Not working within twenty minutes of repairman leaving. Next day another repairman came and finally fixed the problem. Second situation - ice maker on refrigerator not working. Call AHS. They schedule Sears to be there the next morning between 8 and 12 :-). I get a call day of from Sears to let me know their repairman isn't feeling well and won't be coming. They can reschedule for two weeks from original appt. Spent roughly an hour on phone between AHS and Sears. Complete morons. read more

I had a great experience with Sears Appliance repair on the repair of my fridge. I had them come as a 2nd quote before I decided who to use for the repair. Their quote was a 1/3 of the other company ( or I'd say owner who was trying to obviously take advantage of me) . Problem was fixed and tested within 30 minutes. I unfortunately forgot the tech's name but his ID number on receipt is 0021584. He was pleasant and professional. I also love that you can schedule online and have a 90 day guarantee. I booked a service appointment online for a 1pm to 5pm window. At 4:20pm, the technician called to say he was on his way, asked if I was home, and asked how I was paying. I said that my tenant was home, but if she had to leave, there was a key release at the front desk. And that I was paying by credit card. An hour later, at 5:30pm, the technician still did not arrive. I spoke to someone via chat to ask for his ETA. I was told my request would be dispatched, and someone would call me. At 5:55pm, the technician called again to say that if the tenant was not home, he was not allowed to enter per company policy. He also said that if I was planning to pay by credit card, I needed to call the 800 number to provide it, but that another service appointment request would have to be put in. Long story short. The technician missed the appointment time and never told me of these company policies when I spoke to him at 4:20pm. Nor was this information provided when I booked the appointment or when I spoke to someone through chat to ensure the technician could handle taking out an in-cabinet oven (since that posed a problem with another repair company) and I mentioned I had a tenant and would be paying the bill. I also called the 888 number to complain. I spent 5 minutes telling a rep what happened after she said 'tell me your concern'. She then said she only booked appointments and transferred me to dead air. I already told the other 116 owners in my luxury building about my experience via our website. If you're the type that isn't afraid to pick up a pair of pliers or a screwdriver, then this is the place for you! Whenever something breaks, my first thought is "can I fix it". If it is, then this is usually the place to go for the parts I need. There have been several occasions where an appliance might go out on me, and instead of having to order a part, I've been able to make the drive to Nashville and get the part I need that same day. I usually call before hand to make sure that they have the part in stock, and they haven;'t failed me yet! I've been able to get heating elements for dryers, dogs (the parts inside the agitator) for my washing machine, seals for freezers and the like from here. The prices are always reasonable and they don't just limit what they carry to certain brands. You can get parts for just about anything here. If they don't have it in stock, it can be ordered and have it within a day or two. The folks that work there have always been extremely helpful and patient, which is amazing considering that I've never been in at a time that they aren't slammed. You may have a bit of a wait, but that just gives you time to look around at some of the deals they have on tools and equipment. read more

The Sears Technician came to my house and repaired my Washing Machine. My complaint is that the Technician refused to haul off the old parts. He also refused to haul off the boxes that the new parts came in, leaving a mess in my house. My condo complex has a dumpster he could have dumped his trash in, but my technician refused to haul off his trash. NEVER AGAIN I called on Monday 09-16-18 to set up an appointment to have an icemaker on my refrigeration repaired. Setting up the appointment took far too long, too many questions asked (obviously scripted), and then trying to sell additional services. The appointment was scheduled for Wednesday 09-18-18 between 1:00 pm and 5:00 pm. I was told the repair person would phone ahead to alert me that he was on the way. I also received a reminder via e-mail on the day of the appointment. By 5:00 no one had called. At 6:00 I called Sears to find out what was going on. I was told that I was still "on the list", that the repair person was just finishing up his current call and that I was next. He was 40 miles away during rush hour. She also commented that she doesn't know why my appointment was skipped over. I still had my temper under control and mentioned that I had to drive two hours to be in time for the 1:00-5:00 window. (I live 2 hours away and this property I also own in Nashville). Seemed to have no empathy and kept insisting that I was still on the list. It would take the repairman at least an hour to get to me assuming he left that moment which means he would arrive well after 7:00pm. Even when he finished I would still have the two hour drive home. Getting no satisfaction, I asked to be connected to a supervisor. I related the entire situation to him, and he too said he doesn't know why I was skipped over on the appointment list. All I know is I spent a 10 hour day for an appointment that would probably take 45 minutes to complete. He knew I was upset and offered me a 25% discount as a gesture of compensation. (I already had a 20% coupon). He said he could have a repairman there the next day for a 1000am-200pm window. I declined saying I was not willing to chance going through the same nonsense again. My one question for everyone I spoke with: "WHY DID NO ONE CALL ME TO ALERT ME TO THE DELAY???.It seems like everyone was aware of why he was late, except me. There is no excuse for operating a business in such a unprofessional manner. Is their no communication between the employee in the field and management. I was on a list for appointments for the day with a specific window to be available. I held up my end of the deal. Sears dropped the ball big-time, and for me, that was one time too many. read more

PLEASE TAKE THE TIME TO READ - I KNOW ITS LONG I had the misfortune of dealing with Sears Appliance Repair. 1.) Had a 1-5 repair window. Ridiculous, but the norm. OK 2.) Was told on the phone there was a $98 diagnostic charge that would be put against any repair charges. OK 3.) The repairman arrived in the window. OK 4.) The repairman would not stop talking about how much he has to do and how busy he is like that was my fault. Unprofessional, but OK. 5.) He informed me that he would not work on the machine because it was a stacked unit. Problem #1 - Such important information should be relayed to the customer before arrival. UNACCEPTABLE 6.) He informed me that he had the part in his truck, but because it was stacked and couldn't do the work then, he would need to order the part and they might get to it in a week. Problem #2 I didn't need it repaired in a week. UNACCEPTABLE 7.) He informed me that I would have to make my decision right then or I would be charged again for a diagnostic service. (Keep in mind I paid for a diagnostic already that required him to do nothing but look at my stacked washer and dryer.) . In addition, I was informed that the diagnostic charge would be in addition to any repair charges on both accounts. Problem #3 - EIther the Serviceman was lying or Sears was lying. UNACCEPTABLE 8.) Upon realizing I had basically had $100 stolen and called the Sears customer service department, I spent 30 minutes on x2 separate accounts working through call prompts to finally get to a foreign call center which was absolutely ZERO help. Not only would they not only transfer me out to a supervisor to discuss the issue, but there are also ZERO alternate numbers to call on the sears repair website. Problem #4 - Terrible customer service that has no interest that you may not be satisfied. UNACCEPTABLE. So, if you choose to use SEARS service or buy any SEARS products. Please be aware of what you are buying. Bad products from a bad company. It truly is shameful to see what was once a great company fall so far -Happy Future Bankruptcy! read more

I had a "Maintenance" check which I pay quite a bit of money per year for on my dryer on 1/5 w Chris. He said everything was fine with my dryer. I had explicitly asked him to check if there was a lot of lint that could hamper the drying time. That night I go to use it and it's blowing cold air. They send another Tech Ash to repair it. Ash was really surprised that I had just had "Maintenance " done on the dryer because it was loaded with lint. He used a vacuum to clean it out! The two stars isn't for Ash, he was great. It is for Chris who didn't do his job. Chris was more interested in getting me to resign my contract for my Masters agreement apparently then doing his job!! Not a happy Sears Customer! read more
