I was quoted for a sewer line repair, which after breaking ground we realized I had a septic tank and not a sewer. He then filled back up the hole and was on his way. Both Andy & Randy were friendly, but it was such a poor value and over priced. I was charged $1,100 for someone to dig up a hole and then fill back in the hole. This process took 4.5 hours of work of just digging, as he didn't have the proper equipment. They used a saw to cut into the asphalt and I was charged for a saw rental, as well as an added service fee. The saw was dull and not working, which I was told at the time by the plumber. You would assume they would have the proper equipment to do the job. I then had to hire another company come out to investigate further. They dug a much bigger hole with the proper equipment and it took 30 minutes (compared to the same thing taking 4.5 hours with a hand shovel). Do not hire this company, it is a complete rip off with poor communication. Andy did discount my bill and took off an hour of work, but I am still left with a $900 bill of just having a hole dug and then filled back in poorly. Attached is a photo of my $1000 and 4.5 hour of digging hole that was 2' deep by 2'x 3'

And that was the last we heard from them. They vanished, radio silence. In sum: poor work and they did not stand behind it. We won't hire them again, obvously.

They used my handsoap to try to clean up the dirty counter and left black stains on the walls near the banister. After they left, I realized that one of the faucets they fixed was still leaking. I asked for a different plumber to come out. He seemed more capable but I didn't realized too late that he still didn't fix the job, in fact he created a leak which I was unaware of until it was too late and consequently the floor of the cabinet was damaged. The third time out the plumber said it could not be fixed without replacing the faucet. This meant I had to replace two faucets because there is a double vanity. Three weeks ago I was promised that they would send someone out to fix the cabinet and have heard absolutely nothing. Since that time I purchased two new faucets and had Brentwood Star Plumbing out to install them. It was worth paying for again. The service between these two companies is like night and day! This was initially a simple cartridge replacement that ended up costing hundreds of dollars and alot of stress. I had hoped that I could avoid writing this review and I gave them the opportunity to make things right but they did not.

His was the second highest bid of three requested, but decided he seemed most understanding and professional to correct an apparent drainage clog. This occurred in a basement bathroom, serving two guest bedrooms there, suddenly unappealing due to a smelly situation started by the messy back-flow this spring. Although it took awhile to have him come and complete the contract (bid at an estimated $4,750), I offered him slightly more than a 20% deposit in May, which he declined as too little. Mistakenly, considering his confided personal problem at home, I upped the deposit to $4,000. All of this occurred early in June; however, despite the high pre-payment, we were consistently delayed due to Covid backup of jobs. Finally just prior to our holiday July 4th family reunion, he and a couple assistants arrived, dug a couple holes supposedly to examine the existing drainage pipe (we thought deteriorated), but he ruled OK. Weeks later, he returned, this time carrying a camera/computer (he'd borrowed), showing the Mrs. and me a disc displaying some sort of streaming water to assure us "our" old drainage pipes were properly flowing. All of this was part and parcel of a delayed response and apparently his decision to conclude our contract. When Mrs. Trott queried him further (before departing for another job), he mumbled something about buying acreage near Jackson, TN, and moving over there. Yet nothing about refunding any of our unnecessary hugh deposit paid. Of course, we've since experienced additional backup flows and despite our limited retirement income (I'm retired military), we must now engage a more helpful plumbing professional.
