They had a very professional and courteous technician out the very next morning, who was able to remove the dryer drum, install a new pulley on it, and get everything back together in about 30 minutes. Floyd serviced our 20-year-old dryer and 22-year-old washing machine that had a leak. He extended the life of the dryer. The washing machine was more difficult. He fixed one leak (pump); the part was readily available. Three days later a second leak appeared at the bottom of the outer drum. No part available! And because he couldn't fix it, he refunded the price of the first part, which we applied to a new washing machine (SpeedQueen). Great service and advice! read more

I knew the belt on my drier had come off. I tried to fix it myself with no luck. When I called they could fit me in a day later. We agree on 7 AM! Nick text me ahead of time and showed up right on time. In just a couple minutes he had the machine totally dismantled! He showed me the bad parts. He had the replacements on his truck. He gave me a quote and with my approval he had the machine put back together in literally minutes! I was able to pay with a card on the spot. I completely trust this company. It's worth every penny. I highly recommend Mid-State Appliance Repair. They are honest, prompt and offer fair prices. My four-year-old Maytag washing machine had a persistent issue where the machine kept shutting down and firing off error codes. Nick came over to diagnose the situation, replacing a part. Unfortunately it soon broke down again. Thanks to the 90-day parts and labor warranty, Nick was able to make a couple more service calls until he determined the right part to replace, and at a reasonable price. Freezer fan was making noise with ice buildup behind pull out drawer. Called MidState Appliance Service and technician inspected, determined problem, ordered part, and installed needed parts. Do NOT use this company -- This company charged me $70+ to diagnose the wrong issue. Then I paid $40 in labor for them to come fix it. They "tested" it (but it didn't work as soon as they left, and they acted like I was potentially lying that it wasn't working when I called back, not believing me that the dishwasher didn't work still.) Then I waited for them to come again, + waited another week + for the correct part to come in. They wanted to charge me another $60 in labor, even though they had said the labor was guaranteed. There was no attempt to apologize for the mistake or any understanding for the frustration of the extra wait time it had caused. The entire time I was on the phone with the manager (who didn't identify himself as the manager), he began the call with his voice raised and irritated instead of being apologetic for the mistake or for my bad experience thus far. -- Complete lack of customer service and professionalism and defensiveness instead of empathy and understanding. Instead of coming out to make it right a second time, after yelling at me on the phone, he shouted that he would refund my money (even though I didn't ask for a refund) And literally yelled at me over the phone to "go find someone else." Again, mind you I didn't have my voice raised, but just wanted them to correct the mistake and the time that had been lost in the waiting over the mistake. When I called back and asked to speak to a manager, I was shocked to learn that the man who had been yelling at me was the manager. I have never had this bad of an experience with a service company in my life. read more

Excellent, thoughtful service from trustworthy people. Our clothes dryer was making such odd noises we thought it was dying. When the guy from MidState heard it, he said it was just engine noises made by an old machine - and didn't charge us for a service call. Our two-year old Maytag washer was out of warranty and hasn't worked right since we bought it. I learned that the actuator has been updated so I bought the part, but decided to call a repairman to install it. MidState Appliance agreed to install the part and scheduled the visit when it was convenient for me. They called the day before to confirm the appointment and arrived on time. Great Service!! Efficient, friendly, reasonably priced. I had previously gotten a complicated and higher quote and from a nonprofessional. I called Mid-State explained my problem with our Samsung front loader dryer. The person I spoke with pretty much accessed what the problem was on the phone. But said we'll check it to be sure that's the issue. Two days later they came out, he was correct in his assessment. Now, almost a month or so later. I'm here enjoying drying my clothes at home, not dragging my clothes to the laundromat!! Job well done! I would recommend this company to everyone!! read more

Our oven stopped working. After reading several reviews, I gave Mid-State Appliance Repair a call. We got an appointment the next day and the tech that came out was amazing. He was honest and up front about the problem (the oven control panel was dead! and costs of repair would be close to anew oven.) He also gave us tips about picking out a new one as far as what to look for and what to avoid. Their prices are more than fair. We will be using them in the future for any repairs we need as well as telling everyone we know to. We had a really great experience with them. read more

RAYMOND, the technician from Mid-State Appliances, just left, after diagnosing that what I really needed, was a new washing machine. The one I have is not worth repairing. Altho this was not good news, the reason I am writing this review, is that RAYMOND was super polite and answered all my questions, even those I repeated in hopes of getting a different answer! HE WAS A REAL GENTLEMAN AND EVEN LEVELLED MY DRYER FOR ME. The most amazing thing, one that my husband said he'd never heard of such a thing before, is that RAYMOND refused to be compensated for any of his efforts, not even for the service call. I was shocked. He just said "put it towards your new machine" and wouldn't take a dime. What a great company attitude! What a great guy. I'm sure to call them again in the future. I need to say this company comes with many great recommendations HOWEVER Didn't work in our case. The diagnosis for a new compressor required us to wait for weeks for them to order from Arkansas for our refrigerator. Just months afterwards and a $$$$ repair bill, it goes out again. Owner's son comes to look and kept making cell phone calls outside (saying he couldn't get cell service) Said "My boss told me to try to add freon" - sometime later he has a torch out, and tells my husband he broke the line and said you are "F#!!" no charge for today." We can get no resolve, nor even an apology for the language used in our home other than: "You are so sensitive that language offends you? There will be no refund - we told you only 90 warranty". I have been advised they likely used a rebuilt compressor for it to go out after just a few months. read more

When it came to my appointment, I received a call from the technician who said he was on the way within 15 minutes but arrived much, much later.
