This review is for the service and delivery, not the product:…read more I placed an order for a $6,000 Blaze Marine grill for a clients beach home. The property has approximately 8 stairs to get to/access the back patio. I placed the order after clarifying that during delivery someone would be able to assist me in getting it to its final spot up a few stairs. I was informed 1 person makes the delivery (Peter) and he cannot go up stairs alone with a grill. I then asked if I was at the property to assist, can we get the grill to its spot on that patio? I was told (by Peter) that would work out if I was there. Operating under those instructions, I planned a delivery day and made the 1 hour drive to be at the house to help complete delivery. Upon arriving, Peter looked at the stairs and said it's curbside only and the grill weighs a couple hundred pounds. I said there is a communication issue within the company as I addressed this when I placed the order as I would have arranged movers to meet us at the house. Peter acknowledged I spoke to him and it's curbside only, he will not be lifting the BBQ to the patio. In a BBQ retail business, I think it's important to deliver on the entire order, not leave a customer at the 5 yard line for delivery. If stairs are an issue, it needs to be very clearly stated at the point of order and payment. I also think a company such as this should always offer a white glove delivery option for a surcharge. I would have gladly paid for an additional person to come who is ready to travel up the stairs I specify when I ordered the grill. I also requested a cover for the grill at the time of order, and Peter forgot it. He said 'he would mail it to me' and promptly got in his vehicle and left knowing the awkward situation he had placed me in.
