I want to give a shout out Saul over in the Valencia BBQGalore store. I went to check out BBQ's a couple months ago. I was interested in possibly getting prefabricated BBQ island for a backyard remodel we're doing. Not only did he help me with the equipment but he helped design a bad ass island over multiple visits. He also helped me save at least $1500 on the granite fabrication for the island itself. Saul was patient, kind and just provided me with top notch customer service. I would go out of my way to go see him and his team in the Valencia store. This store staff disrespected me from the moment I walked in. Most of the staff was on their phones and did not even greet me. Then, above all, the employee of the month, Scott, had the audacity to rudely dismiss me. I asked for a grill that was clearly there, and he acted as if he did not see it. Looking back, I'm happy I did not purchase any of their grills, which had cobwebs and stains on them. They are really bad at maintaining things, including their customer service. When I walked out, no one showed the expected politeness when you leave the door. In my long experience of customer service, I have never been treated so rudely. If you don't want to waste your time, I suggest you steer clear of the filthy establishment. They don't deserve your attention. Dennis was extremely helpful with our questions concerning gas fire logs and embers. We hope to get a new setup for our living room fireplace and hadn't realized that this store also provided gas fireplace selections as well as great outdoor patio decor. We'd like to have both fireplaces ready for the swiftly approaching holidays and were very pleased with what we saw here. Our family room fireplace will remain natural wood burning. Since, I purchased a built in BBQ from Barbeques Galore in the past, we decided to stop in to see what was new in the world of BBQs. The employee (his name was Steve or Scott I think) was very helpful. He showed the most recent version of the BBQ I purchased nine years ago and provided me with tips to ensure the new one would fit. Would never buy anything from them again. Went there to buy a pellet smoker & pizza oven. We live over 1 hour away, but wanted to go with who we thought would know the most about pellet smokers & pizza ovens. Have bought from other locations of BBQ Galore, and been happy. 1st none of the employees were wearing masks, even though sign says to. We were. Next bought Ooni Koda Pizza oven (and a GMG smoker & attachments) asked it the pizza oven was on sale, was told no, but if it went on sale within 30 days, we would get the sale price and the extra refunded. Sure enough a few days later checked the website & it was on sale. It's $120. lower! So called and talked to the manager Saul, and he said we would have to come back down there to get the refund, couldn't do over the phone like first told. And that it could only be when HE is there. (said he is off Sun & Mon, and only there till 2pm Fri & Sat) Very rude and said 'it's not his fault that we live so far away.' Yes, I guess it's ours that we didn't go with a better & more reputable company. Saul said he could give gift certificate but we had to come there to get it, he wouldn't mail it, and he couldn't promise it would be there if we didn't get it this weekend! (it's Memorial Day Weekend, and really didn't want to be on the road for the holiday, that's why we went last weekend) Would not accommodate at all. Just too bad for you! Very poor service & management! Even though their website says price guarantee for 30 days, don't believe them. Need customer service!!!! Will never buy from them again! what a great experience from the second I walked through the door I was greeted by Scott I knew what I wanted, at least I thought he helped me get all the knock knacks I needed for my smoker then I had it loaded up and left. once I got home I got a call from the store it was Scott I left my pellets.... instead of having me drove all the way back he was nice enough to drop them off at my house on his way home. because of the hospitality that he showed me I will be buying all my gmg pellets and accessories from them thanks again guys!!!!! read more

If you come here, be prepared for the hard sell. With everything. I have been playing a waiting game needing a new knob for my grill which they sold me. "Sorry we're out," "We have a shipment coming in next week" and " come back in a few days and we'll have them in." So guess what they said when I last asked if they had them in? "Did you think about getting a new grill instead?" Seriously? I come in to buy a $3.99 replacement part on a 6 year old perfectly working piece of equipment and you want to sell me a $1200 grill? Come in to buy smoking chips - they try to sell me rub and sauce. Come in to buy sauce - they try to sell me a smoker. Make it more about the customer and less about the sale then you would build both your customers and your sales. read more

I agree with Mike K. For a place that sells BBQ islands like luxury cars, with the price and pack of thirsty salesmen you'd expect, the only real value here is the little corner dedicated to the charcoal game. Last I checked, they quit selling oak chunks, so my brisket has settled for hickory. Aside from that, they have a selection of wood without equal. That and replacement parts are the only things that get me through the door. If you keep it real and eschew the mega gas grills, you're own your own. The salesmen wouldn't know real barbecue from the junk they slang next door at Wood Ranch. read more

About the only place in this valley that sells a wide selection of wood chips and chunks. They are now carrying certain wood in mega big bags at a reduced cost. I am not sure how their gas grill prices compare, though they did stock a smoker that was the same price as Lowes and was better quality. Also, the large wall picture by the register is fabulous. My family and I want to thank Saul and Scott in the Santa Clarita store for helping us design and create the outdoor kitchen island of our dreams. They were very patient with us in our design but it was waaaay worth it. It's now the center of attention in our backyard. I come here to purchase smoking pellets; I purchased a Redi Check Thermometer. When it didn't work the employee said bring it back and they would replace it. Today I bring it in when I am purchasing my pellets. I hand him it and let him know what the lst guy told me. Mr. Electronics says ohh the probe is bad. Do you have them nope have to return it. Well that's what I am here to do. Nope you have to send it back to the manufacturer. Do you have that info? Nope. OK sell me these pellets and you will never see me again. My husband LOVES to BBQ so, we shop at BBQ Galore quit a bit in Valencia. We have bought Fire Magic grills, which cost a fortune, Big Green Egg , which cost a fortune and all the accessories to go with it, which is a lot of items and an endless amount of misc items there. We know that we could purchase pretty much any of these items from Amazon and paid a lot less however, we really try to support our local merchants whenever we can. And for that reason I expect decent "Customer Service". Is that too much to ask for? I don't think so. My HUGE complaint is that back in February I called B.G. to see if they had a Fire Magic BBQ light (which I could have ordered for about $35 less from Amazon) and was told that no, they did not have one in stock but, they could order one for me. I said OK. I gave them my credit card info and phone number to call me when it came in and made sure they knew that it was a gift. Reminder...this was back in February and now it's April. I just called them to find out when this light was going to be in and was told that I was supposedly called 2 weeks ago, which I wasn't. Oh, and by the way...They charge my credit card when I ordered it. I am so disappointed in B.G. I feel that I got lousy customer service and it makes me want to order all our BBQ goodies from Amazon from now on. Am I wrong to feel this way????????????????????? read more

I purchased an XL Big Green Egg from this store and all the accessories for a total of $1,800.00 at full retail. I almost finished building and decided to finish the next morning. I placed the top dome on the egg and pushed it into our garage. The next morning when I opened the garage door, roll up, I heard a loud crash and apparently the handle on the dome caught somehow on the door as it was opening. Consequently, the dome hit the cement and shattered. I called this BBQ Galore store and told my sales person what had happened and asked if I could purchase just the dome. He said yes and quoted me $399 and a 3 week delay. I asked him if he could open a box and give me one he had in stock, then when the other one arrived he could just replace it. Both my sales person and the store manager refused that request and stated they were a corporate store and could not open a box for that purpose. Having just spent all this money I was very surprised and started looking for a dome elsewhere. I then found Woodland Hills Fireplace & BBQ. I called them and they had a dome in stock. I arrived at their location and what do you know, they opened a box and sold me the replacement dome. I also bought all the same accessories I originally purchased from BBQ Galore and they gave me a 10% discount. I promptly returned everything to BBQG and let the manager know that I found a new store to do business with. All he had to say was, sorry, but because they are a corporate store their hands are tied. Word of advice, do not buy anything from this store. read more

I left a negative review here last year and now it is gone, not sure what that is about. I don't recommend this retailer. Their satisfaction polices - don't exist. I spent more than $2,000 at this store and they wouldn't exchange a cover they sold me,that wouldn't fit the barbecue they sold me - because they said i didn't return it soon enough - it was still unopened! In this age of consumer activism and focus on customer satisfaction - B G's local staff are completely clueless. There are multiple options for buying any product today and most reputable companies will stand behind their products and service. Why settle for less? read more

I went earlier today to ask what did I need to convert my wood burning fireplace to gas. Don was very helpful, friendly and professional and providee with excellent customer service. Don took his time to explain to me all the things I needed and asked me the necessary questions to guide me in the right direction. The kind of logs I needed, the features that I can add, etc. He also showed me how the switch that I added to the kit works. He offered me to even walk me through the process over the phone in case that I forget how to do it by the time that I start using the fireplace. (It's summer time now so it will be a while before I can start to enjoy the fireplace). Don went above and beyond, provided with excellent customer service even though at some point he had several customers and he was by himself, making sure that everybody was acknowledged and letting everyone know that he would be right with them as soon as he finished helping out the previous customer. Pretty happy with my experience. I'm still waiting for the installation of the fireplace gas kit. I hope that the installation staff is as friendly and professional as Don was. read more

I wish I would have read the prior reviews before making purchases of over $8,000 with these incompetent people. We purchased a grill for our outdoor kitchen and that process went well. Our sales person was very very knowledgeable. He gets 5 stars. Where it went wrong was we were told that the outdoor heaters that we wanted would take no more than a week. When we went to order them we were told it would be about 3-4 weeks (cancel the electrician). We asked for the controls to be sent asap as this was the part that was holding up the outdoor project. We were told no problem they would come within 2 weeks. However, they came at 4 weeks with the heaters. If I wanted them to send them up from the Irvine warehouse before their normal delivery they said they would charge me $75 even though they messed up. The manager sited their "Policy" which basically doesn't guarantee anything. Told him I would pick heaters up the following week once they received them and that I would reschedule the electrician. Called to make sure the heaters where there on pick up day and was told "Oh by the way since you purchased these with a credit card by phone we need you to bring in the id and credit card" Mind you this was my husbands card and id they wanted and he was out of town on business. Also, the purchase went through on our card a month prior. Battled with the manager named Saul and once again received the "Policy" speech even though what he said the reason was was BS. Oh well, I cancelled my plans to spend an additional $5,000 and took my business elsewhere even thought it didn't matter at all to them. So my recommendation is to stay away, very far away! read more

I purchased their Grand Turbo barbecue 16 months ago......had a 1 year warranty. This is a very expensive model, over $4000. The barbecue just stopped working. I called them up and they said that a service call was going to be $180 plus parts. They thought the problem was a bad regulator. I ordered a new hose and regulator for $62.00. Lowe's sells them for $20. That didn't fix the problem. I found an ex-employee of BG that does repairs part time to fix it. The problem was that the rubber gas hose that runs from the main gas line to the external side burner had cracked and was leaking gas. Definitely a hazardous condition. He replaced the rubber gas line with a metal flexible gas line. What is troubling is that all the Grand Turbo's gas lines are rubber and subject to more dangerous leaks. Only after 16 months these hoses are cracking? I filed a danagerous condition complaint with the U.S. Consumer Safety Products Commission. read more

On Saturday, July 19, 2014, I stopped by the store looking for a very odd part for my 30 year old camper trailer. Camping World did not have the part. Home Depot on Newhall Ranch Rd. was clueless. However, the Home Depot guy suggested Barbeques Galore. I needed a coupler that would go down from 1/2 inch to 3/8 inch for the propane system. Well, the two gentlemen (forgot your names... sorry) found a coupler and gave it to me. Literally gave it to me! Maybe an extra coupler, etc. The level of kindness, and effort, I received was astounding. My wife dreams of one of their B.B.Q systems. When I am the market I will definitely give these guys a chance to find the right one for our needs! read more

I have purchased four BBQs from Barbeques Galore over the past 18 Years. My purchases have all been fair priced, and the service outstanding. I have never had to contact them for after sales service, but have had to buy parts at different times over the years. I have had nothing but quick service, and on those times where I had to order parts, they came quicker than quoted. Recently Don & Kevin helped me with the purchase of a high end BBQ, and again, the price was fair market, the service outstanding, and delivery time, was four days. I have read the negative comments written by others, but can't help but think that there is more to their story. Are their prices high? Probably, but not out line for what you get. If you want cheap, buy cheap. Remember, you get what you pay for. read more

Well the name is kind've deceiving. It should be called "Gas Grill Emporium". Other than those there were two pellet smokers and 1 electric smoker. The choice of sauces and rub was lack luster as well. How about some actual BBQ smokers or grills that use charcoal or wood where the person bbqing or grilling has to have a little skill instead of turning a knob.
