Not the end of the world until I took it apart and noticed that someone had already "fixed" this problem. Except instead of replacing the part they trimmed, rigged, and twisted it. It was just enough so that it would last the 30 day warranty. This is a very dangerous business practice. Imagine if my house had caught on fire.

I went in looking for a set that could handle comforters and told Jennifer(Toms wife)that. That was my only concern and didn't mind paying extra if needed. Was sold a Maytag Bravos XL set. After calling to have Tom come out to look at the wash bc it started throwing error codes he informed me that I didn't need to worry about the warranty time limit.. that he likes to take care of his customers. After multiple attempts to wash comforters and they came out dry and unwashed... I started looking up the serial numbers online. I was sold a regular sized W/D but paid for an XL version. Receipt and contract also says XL which is FALSE ADVERTISING. The old bait and switch. I reached out to tom again 2 months after purchasing only to be told I was outside of my warranty. He could have easily swapped out the set I bought for the set he had on site that is what I thought I paid for. But they don't care once they have your money. They come off friendly and willing to actually help their customers but is quite the opposite. Now I'll need to find another set that is what I was looking for originally.

I went back to the store asking for help in finding the part, and our salesman, Charles Dean, helped me obtain the part and even showed me that it wasn't as difficult to install it as I had anticipated. In so doing, he saved me the cost of getting a repairman to my home. That kind of service will get me back the store the next time I need an appliance.

In the past, we've gone to Lowe's but the appliance repair guy who pulled the plug (pun intended) convinced us to check out this appliance retailer as they stand behind their installations, as well as offering competitive pricing. It's part of the same strip that houses Sesame Burgers and several other small retailers. We were warmly greeted and though the gentleman we were told to ask for was running late, Chip suggested that we look around and that he would answer our questions. The showroom was not large, but, the refrigerator selection appeared to be adequate. Our decision was quick in that a 33", 25 cubic foot fridge, was now considered a special order. We had no time to spare. Chip was able to schedule delivery the next day on a GE with French doors and bottom load freezer the next day. Sold! We received a delivery confirmation that evening and a text message the next morning with a delivery window. Installation was a breeze. Plugs employs their own installers. By noon the next day, I was happily on my way, re-stocking my new fridge and freezer. I was always a big-box shopper but now I'm sold on 'the little guy.' You will be, too. Make Plugs your first stop when shopping for a new home appliance.

They have a huge selection. I will certainly check prices and selection with them before buying new. They had used appliances that appear to be both new and older models. I recently had a repair person come out from this store to repair our ice maker. They were great. He came out the next day, figured out the issue fairly quickly. My husband who is a very good handyman had already spent several hours messing with it before I called for service could not figure it out. The price was in line with other service repair people I have used. I have been very pleased with them.

Paid more and customer service (Taylor) was horrible. 4 irritating phone calls. Salesman took us to appliances and we walked around them noting no dents or defects. Why they do that I have no idea because they came in a box and the dryer had a huge dent across the front. Delivery people took it out of the box and set it in place like we ordered a dented dryer. Did not mention it, like it did not exist. We were leaving on vacation in the morning and had laundry to do before we left since our washer died. They stated one other dryer in store also dented. Solutions - we could send them both back and get a different color - after vacation. Or get different appliances altogether since dryer was on back order. Horrible customer service. While I was in the store I was looking at refrigerators. I will buy that elsewhere and will not feel one bit bad that I will not spend my money at this local family owned business.

I judge any business or service not just on the initial product or service that I purchase, but…read morealso (or even more so) on their response to issue(s) that may occur after purchase. My concern, in this case, is with the latter. I purchased a refrigerator from Plugs, deciding to try them over a "big box" store to see if there was a benefit from doing so. I also bought their three-year warranty. The initial purchase experience was okay, with Plugs' price being about the same or slightly higher, than a comparable purchase from a "big box," taking into account all costs - basic price, delivery and warranty. I recently experienced a problem where the water dispenser was dripping; additionally, some food in the refrigerator would freeze up (I keep the refrigerator at a recommended temperature). No big deal, I thought, until I tried to utilize the warranty to get these issues addressed. I will try not to fill up this review with too much detail, but this was likely my worst experience dealing with an appliance issue in my more than 40 years as a homeowner. This was the first time that I tried to use the warranty. I was unable to get any documentation on the warranty when I first bought the refrigerator (there is just the phrase, "3 year term," on the invoice), so I called Plugs to report the problem and request service. The person with whom I spoke gave me the name of the warranty company. I called the latter and was able to get an appointment for service. However, on the scheduled service date, no one showed up. I stayed home, wasting the day. I called the appliance repair company directly several times, but no one returned my call. I followed up with another call to Plugs, spoke to someone, but no one got back to me. I then filled out a form online, and a "manager" did call me. There was another delay, and I needed to call back a few more times. The "manager" commented that dealing with the warranty company is like dealing with an insurance company (the warranty company actually seemed more like a "call center" to me), which takes time. I was then given the name of another repair company, called them, and finally had the repair completed. I give the appliance technician eventually assigned a good mark for his quality of work. Start-to-end for getting a seemingly straightforward repair completed took more than 3 1/2 weeks, with wasted hours, and needless aggravation on my part. Plugs, in their commercials, distinguish themselves from "big box" stores. I suggest that Plugs should, instead, try to learn from the big box stores, namely, that the full life cycle of an appliance purchase is what's important to customers, not just what gets delivered on Day 1.

This is regarding customer service, or lack there of. My wine fridge suddenly died and I was hoping…read moreto replace before the holidays. I called a few places wihe the model number to see who had it in stock, or could get it quickly. Plugs is local and they checked, it was in stock in a warehouse and they could get it to me within 2 weeks.... 2 weeks came and went, and no call for delivery so I called...turns out it was no longer in stock and wouldn't be available for several weeks. The clerk and I spoke several times on the day I ordered, me making sure I could get it. Larger box stores had one, but truly wanted a local spot...sadly customer service failed. Once the clerk had made availability promises, and it failed, he should have immediately called me so I could be prepared or move on to other arrangements.

The exact same day the oven stopped working again. I contacted the company immediately regarding this and left numerous v/m and txt messages. After not getting a response I reached back out to my HWS and they attempted to call the vendor and was unsuccessful on several attempts. I was finally able to reach someone and the recall appt was made for 10/19 no time was given which is fine cause I work from home. At 1:45pm I called the vendor and spoke with the "owner" because no one had showed up. She told me the technician was having a terrible day and was running behind. At 2:40 my husband came home and said there was a card in the door from the vendor. I was livid because no one knocked on the door or called. After talking to my neighbor, we learned the technician stuck the card in the door and left. Again, I called and spoke with the owner and was told that she would put me on the schedule for the following day 10/20. She also mentioned that the technician was working late and if he were able would come back by. It was already after 5:30pm when we had this conversation. At 7pm we got tired of waiting and decided to use the stove top to make dinner. 10/20 the technician never showed up. I called and spoke with "owner" and was told that the technician stated, he wasn't coming out because he came out 2x on 10/19 but also told me that I was not the only person missed that day. I'm not sure who's being dishonest the technician or the owner. I find it strange that no phone calls were ever made by the technician to say he was on the way or that he arrived. But okay, 10/26 appt made for technician to come out and again no one showed up. 10/26 HWS spoke with vendor and was told someone was coming out that day, again no one showed up. 10/29 HWS transferred me to another vendor after not having an oven for greater than 1 month.
