First I'd like to inform everyone that I previously posted a positive review for Sears/Direct Access Travel about 6 or seven months ago. We (my wife and I) have been members since 2016. In the previous review I stated that upon enrollment, we were given access to free travel certificates and quarterly specials that covered a good portion of our initial $3,000 investment. At the time I was pretty satisfied. I've taken down that review. I don't know if the management/leadership has changed within the organization, or maybe just their standards for customer service and integrity, but my experiences since my previous review have been disappointing to say the least. Since then, I have experienced poor customer service and outright dishonesty. In late October a member of their Orlando sales team called to offer me an account upgrade. I'm a guy who's into value and I thought there might be some here so I made the down payment (long story short). Days later, after I decided that the value wasn't there for us, I called to cancel. I was well within the the 10 day trial period. About an hour afterward I got a call from the salesman in Orlando. He saw that I had canceled and called to convince me otherwise, but my mind was made up. Days later there was no refund to my credit card, so I called Sears back. The agent i spoke with told me that the notes that the salesman left in my account indicated that I was still considering keeping the upgrade, even though I was crystal clear with him. The cancellation/refund had not been processed. How dishonest is that? Luckily i was speaking to an agent with a conscience who corrected the issue. Today I called to inquire about one of their quarterly specials. I told the agent which destination and month I was interested in and he asked me to hold. This normally takes 30 seconds or less. 20 minutes later he comes back unapologetic and asks if I was still there. "That was a long time" I said. He responds by going into a rant about how unappreciative I was about him taking the time to try to get approval for my booking. It would have been nice if I was informed that he was doing anything beyond answering my basic question about availability. Instead I'm sitting on hold for 20 minutes and I don't even know why. He couldn't understand why I was upset. He also referenced that I was already told that July was unavailable, as if to say that I shouldn't be inquiring in the first place. I guess the agent who I spoke with earlier in the week put that in the notes. What wasn't in the notes, seemingly, was that the previous agent suggested that I try back later in case of inventory changes. My opinion of this company has greatly diminished. I seriously considered ending my membership after the October incident, but decided not to let one bad apple ruin my opinion of the farm. I'm hoping someone at Sears who values customer service and member loyalty will reach out to help ensure me that my recent experiences are not reflective of the company's practices and training. Otherwise I'll be left to draw my own conclusions. Taking into account that I was borderline defrauded, placed on a long hold and disrespected by an agent, and that neither of the properties that I've inquired about over the past two Quarterly Specials have actually been available, I'm thinking this might be the last year that I renew my membership. If you're a nonmember who is considering Sears Travel you might want to spare yourself the grief. No amount of savings buys a company the right to deceive you or disrespect you. read more

Buyer beware, you're in for a scare. I mentioned this in my review for their sister company, Direct Buy of East Valley. Basically, after a veterans' parade, I was cornered and harassed by men of Direct Buy and Sears Vacation. Literally, they blocked me into a corner and wouldn't let me leave unless I acquiesced to their interrogation. My first thought was "Are these guys really employees?" because I felt like I was in a stick up. Thankfully, instead of killers, they ended up only being financial scammers. The information they wanted was personal-- phone, zip, full name--the works. They quickly muttered something about a "raffle" for a tv and a cruise, but instead of letting me answer in refusal, they jumped immediately into shoving their note-taking iPads in my face and repeating the information they needed from me. They would not let me leave even when I turned away. Threateningly cornering random timid people like animals is not a way to gain new customers. At this point, I just wanted them to leave me alone, so in my anxiety, I unfortunately gave up precious information. I regret it immensely, especially after doing further research online and finding out that both companies employ aggressive telemarketing schemes in order to break down vulnerable citizens and rob them out of house and home. Sears Vacation is run by a timeshare company in Scottsdale called International Cruise and Excursion. Try your hand at looking up their consumer complaints; they have a long track history of scamming consumers. I found out they specifically go to veteran events in order to target our military men and women. Yes. They went to a veterans parade in order to scam these brave people at a parade of remembrance. These companies are shining examples of true, red-blooded Americans. Just like Direct Buy, after multiple telemarketing calls, they try to convince you to go to one of their pressure sale "presentations". As a ploy to entice you to come, they offer you "incentives", like raffles, vouchers, or "free cruises" (which, by the way, aren't free after all). Their ultimate goal is to get you to sign up for their expensive travel program, where the purported benefits are actually more expensive than if you just used websites like Expedia and Travelocity. So you pay more to get worse deals. Woohoo capitalism! No wonder their current customers aren't satisfied. Looking again at consumer complaints also shows that getting a refund straight from them and not from a charge back is like finding a unicorn. Not only that, but from the information I've gathered, it seems probable that Sears Vacation isn't even part of Sears the department store we all know. They only use the name in order trick consumers into familiarity. Just like with Direct Buy, I refuse to get involved with a company that employs tactics that make me feel unsafe. If you're going to go out of your way to cause me to feel threatened, at least offer good deals that are real? tldr; don't be like me. Don't get caught on the same sidewalk as Sears Vacation and Direct Buy. If they ever find you in a corner, RUN. Run as if you were running away from an actual cannibal. read more

Was approached at a concert regarding Sears Vacations so I gave them my email address and phone number. Was called a week later to come check them out and told I would receive a free week resort vacation and $250 trip cash. I went and sat thru the boring sales pitch. Basically you can pay $3000 for the opportunity to pay "wholesale" vacation prices thru their travel agency. I decided I would have to think about it and would base my decision on the free 1 week vacation they promised. Turns out, there are VERY limited choices- mostly in Mexico. I checked airlines and no nonstop flights to any of the locations and still required to pay quite a bit out of pocket. Also, the flights I found all had a one night layover in LA, which was super inconvenient. I scrapped the vacation idea and tried to use the $250 trip cash on a hotel. Not only was there no hotel in the area I was looking for, but it would only take $20 off the price. ??? My opinion: total waste of time and money read more

Since Sears is a trusted name, I thought I would give it a chance. Comparisons were chosen to lead to the conclusion that you were paying half priced as they did not give you the upfront costs until the end. They failed to mention there were different plan levels until you sat down for a one on one discussion. When the downstroke was too great, I was offered an easy payment plan with interest. My salesman snorted that I could find an 18% finance charge a problem. I told him that I could not afford the monthly payments as I was on a fixed income, he suggested I get a job or a second job. Clearly this group runs near the edge legally. They have you sign off on information that you understand it. That fact, and the fact you were not given an opportunity to go home and think about it, are clear indications they know if you would be given a chance to think about the information, you would see the offer was too good to be true. The one star was earned because they let you use their restrooms and gave out snacks..and you did not have sign at contract to do so. read more

I am a member of sears vacation since I hold a sears credit card. I never had to enroll or pay anything for it. I've taken a trip to FL using sears vacation to book lodging and I don't have any complaints about the resort but sears vacation sucks. They don't offer any customer service. DON"T use sears vacation!!! While I was on vacation, I received a call everyday to attend a sales pitch. I also used sears to book lodging for Mexico and when I was trying to get a hold of someone to help me with the reservation over the phone, I was transferred non-stop and no one would help me. They also hung up on me numerous times. Eventually I got my lodging reserved but it shouldn't take that long. read more

I've been waiting to use my Membership to Sears Vacations since I joined six months ago. I finally used it for my trip to Vegas. I stayed at the Aria hotel and Casino. I heard the hotel was nice and kinda on the pricey side. My Sears Vacations membership saved me about $150 over the weekend. Sears Vacation is the worst!!!!!!. When you contact them they have you on hold for at least 30 to 45 minutes. This happens even when you call the first thing in the morning or late at night. When you finally speak to an agent about a problem you are placed back on hold for at least 20 minutes that if the call don't drop first. I even have one agent to transfer the call to anot her department who she said who can help me; the phone rang and rang. I hung up and called back and got the same agent. She said that department is closed and gave me a number to call back in the morning. I called the number and found out it was a different number to the same department. Also, I found out that they actually don't book travel and they use a third party vendor such as priceline, hotwire, or travel web which is something you can do yourself. Also be aware of the discount that is offered because you can find the same or cheaper prices on your own. read more

My husband and I went to a presentation at the Double Tree Hotel about the Sears Vacations. We both thought the vacation club sounded good but we needed more time to consider the cost benefit ratio and wanted more time to play around with the Direct Access Website to see if it would be a good value for the places we wanted to vacation. Unfortunately, we really weren't given that time to think and weren't ready to make a commitment that night and just left with our free vacation certificate and some sears gift cards. About a week later I received a call from Mark Wheeler to redeem my certificate. He offered me the option to redeem the certificate for a limited resort stay or hear about another offer were we could upgrade our certificate for a smaller investment with three years of access to the vacation service. I still wasn't quite sure and asked if we could talk again so my husband could listen in and we could have him search the direct access website and look up places we may want to stay and see the difference in what I could find on typical travel search engines. He readily agreed and I am writing this review after just speaking with him, where he took his time to thoroughly review with us different travel locations, dates and hotels. By the end, I completely agreed that this was a great savings and investment for us. We decided ultimately to go with a slightly better upgrade to a lifetime plan but Mark never pressured us to do anything we didn't want to, he just explained the details of each plan and let us decide what worked better for us. In addition to the free trip we got just for going to the presentation that we got to keep, we also got the additional premium free travel that came from signing up with Sears Vacations. To be honest we did feel a little pressure to sign up at the original presentation and high pressure sales don't work for us, we need time to think and calculate and process....so even though we signed up for almost the same program we would have if we had signed up that night (Mark did have an even better program that sales didn't offer), we feel more confident and comfortable with our decision. That all has to do with how wonderful Mark was in working with us to answer all of our questions, not rushing us to decide, going over all the potential vacations we might take, allowing us the time to think, etc. His general demeanor was very calm, relaxed, easy to talk to and I honestly say Mark would be a guy we would just like to be friends with!!! After we signed up he took more of his time to review the whole website with us and show us how we could get more for our money with the great getaways and quarterly specials. I too was approached by a rep. at Sears to win a free vacation. I was contacted via phone to attend a open house, and to bring identification in the form of a driver's license and a major credit card. I questioned, why a credit card?? That was a red flag for me, I decided to check with Yelp. Thanks for the reviews. I asked as to how long this vacation program has existed and was informed that it has been less then a year. Well last year my wife and I attened the direct acess. Orientation it was insightful and everyone was polite they showed us price differences right there on the net. They even allowed me to use a computer and to compare.. My wife and I did buy a membeship and the monthly payment is nothing compared to the huge amounts we saved on our first Cancun vacation a 5 star all inclusive vacation for 650.00 for 2 adults and two kids only thing extra we had to pay was the flight and we even got a discount on that. We have another vacation planned using a free cruise certificate that we have my family and I love Sears vacations direct access.. read more

Sears Vacations has been good since we joined. We went to the Dominican in August for one week at a beautiful condo hotel. It was amazing and only $277 for a week. We had two bedrooms and a kitchen. We have a lot of travel credits to save more but we also have some freebie vacations to use. We want to go back to the DR again and we will try a cruise next year. Now we are telling our family to join so they can come on the cruise. It is a good investment for people to go on vacation or just go away for a short time too. Total disappointment. I went to Sears in Philly and was approached by a rep on June 6th I believe that asked if I was interested in a free trip. I already knew what it was about because my mother had given me a heads up. I expressed an interest and told her that I could not do weekends but I was available during the weekday before 3pm. I was scheduled for June 9th at 1pm. My mother and her younger sister were scheduled for a different day and her older sister was scheduled on my day. My mother and aunt (younger one) asked the rep would it be possible to come on the 9th and the representative (Deborah I think) said ok. My mom and one of my aunts had the other rep (young man--Antoine?) but they said we could come and we all would still get separate trips (regardless if we purchased the discount travel club membership) because #1 we live in separate households #2 we have different invitational codes #3 we would have sat through the entire presentation. So on June 9th we arrived at the Hilton in Mt. Laurel, NJ and a Sears Vacation rep greets all four of us who provided our independent invitation certificates. About 5 minutes later we were greeted by Malik Wright then escorted into the presentation room where a couple was waiting. Soon after, another young gentleman come from the side, greeted everyone and proceeded with his sales pitch. It was an impressive pitch. He told us how much the package would be to enjoy all the "benefits" at pennies on the dollar. For $4999 (right under 5k) we could get started right now. He then took us to the computer near the entrance of the room to show us how we could be paying ZERO dollars for certain getaways, etc. as compared to other travel sites. Once he was finished his pitch it was Malik's turn to go in for the hard sale and final push. Malik was extremely nice as were all the reps we encountered and he seemed to genuinely like his job. He answered our inquiries like we see multiple scam alert reviews to which he said it is just like any other major corporation (ie, Walmart, etc.) there will always be folks that may not like the service or believe they were cheated but he mentioned that he could pull just as many or more that were elated. He addressed our concerns regarding fees, monthly payments, etc. However, he never mentioned that there may be taxes or certain resort fees at select places (that must have been in the fine print or the "don't ask, don't tell" part of the training). Once we said that we liked the concept but really were not able to move forward he pushed gently a few more times then said "ok, no problem." He went to get our gift cards ($50 Sears card and $100 Restaurant.com card). However, when he returned he only had 1 set. He asked who was originally scheduled for today because he saw some conflicts in computer. I told him that I was so he gave me the cards and the vacation certificate then wrote all 4 names on the certificate to redeem (my mom, young sister, older sister and me). SCAM ALERT! I then looked at my mom and aunts and said "told you---SCAM!!" Malik then said that the store rep(s) should have told us if we can together we'd be considered one and we would not be receiving individual certificates even though we all have separate households. He said the store rep was trying to get more $ by signing up families but that is not how it works. However, I pushed back saying we are not in the same household and why would we need to come on different days to get individual gifts if we do not live together. Malik told us that the rules should have been expressed during the store visit. (I personally did not believe it). After that and seeing my total heighten displeasure of a complete waste of time Malik did give the $100 restaurant.com gift cards to my mom and my aunts but not the Sears card. Fast-forward two weeks later I called to redeem certificate and guess what first the customer service rep cannot find me in the system with any phone # I provide. Second, he places me on hold then comes back asking was there another name or number I could give him. I ended up giving him my mom's name and #. Later he said he found the information but the certificate COULD NOT be redeemed by me. Instead my aunt (older one) could redeem it. I asked why and he said because her name is listed as showing up to presentation. SCAM!!! SCAM!! "I said that's weird because I was the one that originally had the June 9th date and if that's the case why did not she get the Sears and Restaurant.com gift card?" "Why did I get it?" He could not answer it other than saying it is in the computer that way so I thanked him and told my mom and aunts. They contacted the store rep and she was floored she said that is not right at all & was getting a supervisor to call back. Was asked to take a 90 min presentation of the Sears Vacations product. I was very skeptical because I was a timeshare owner with BlueGreen and was not interested in EVER buying another. After being told it was not a Timeshare , still skeptical I accepted and received a very nice 4day 3 night cruise that I used without issue. I also purchased in to the Sears vacation direct access program, and I have to agree that it is not a timeshare AT ALL. It was inexpensive to purchase a membership , had 0 maintenance fees and , I have used it multiple times , never had a booking issue at all , and have stayed saved hundred PER NIGHT on multiple stays. DON'T DO IT!!!!! I signed up with these scammers in April 2016, I was offered a 3/4 day cruise to sign up to be used at any time. I decided to take my daughter on cruise in August. I have been trying for months to book the cruise only to be told TODAY that I can't use the certificate until I have paid $2,000 into the program. We have been getting better deals using Booking.com. we have booked probably 5 vacations by using our cerificates, which was basically the money we used to buy into rhis program. Finding a great place to stay at a decent price has not been through Sears Vaca. The main offers we see are always in Mexico. I wish we never invested in this company. read more

Hello all I have had the vacation club for 3 years I started with the 2nd highest package paying 100 dollars a month. This year I updated to the highest package because of the extra free trips, I pay about 182 now. The resorts are great and the area's are tourist bound. ***Pros.. I've been to China for free using my certificate. I've been to Cancun on a free certificate, I'll be going to Australia for free using a free certificate in September. I've been on a free cruise to Honduras, belize, grand Cayman using my certificate. The quick getaways are great and the quarterly specials are great to.. ****Cons.... some of the places you may want to go are not available on the certificate so you will have to alter. Going on a trip with out the certificate doesn't seem so good in price. But it's available. Airfare is not included so your on your own with that. I don't regret buying this, if only for the free trips and quarterly specials I definitely got my money's worth. You can also down grade if neccessary to options with just quarterly specials and quick getaways(they have dates already).. this us just a quick sum up. read more

I had a nice lady come up to me at Sears while I was shopping and told me she wanted to enter me to win a cruise or a 7 day vacation. Of course I was interested as this was a Sears employee and I trusted that this was not a scam. So then the next day I get a all that I have been chosen as a winner and I get the free vacation, but I just need to visit one conference on Sears Vacations. I asked if there is any obligation or fees and was told there aren't any obligations at all. After talking my husband into it as I really wanted to go on a cruise someplace nice for the 3-4 night for maybe out anniversary. My husband said it was a scam but he agreed to go. After sitting at the presentation and the through the nice sales man that tried his best to get us to sign up for the club, we knew this was not for us. He gave us the certificate and we went home. As to many different plans that they offer, I do not know if it can be any good to anyone, as they only have certain dates and hotels available that are very basic and not high grade. Well when I called to use my certificate a nice rep had me on the phone for almost an hour, aging going over different clubs and plans that might work. I wanted to be as nice as I could because she was very sweet but it was a drag, she kept on saying she has to go over all of this with me agin for my profile. So now I have spent with 2 hours driving, total of over 7 hours of my life to the Sears Vacations. Fatally when it was time for me to redeem my certificate I was told it is only for resort in Mexico. This was a shock as I was told otherwise by the Sears lady at the store and the nice man at there rep said that we can use it anywhere. When i told the man that I was transferred to that works for Sears resort reservations (Ervin at ex: 66842), he suddenly said that yes they do have some places in the states. The only thing the places are Westgate resorts, a very cheap property and not what looks like on the pictures of the resort certificate. Bad enough I could only get during certain days for 7 or 4 night. And I had to pay $106 in taxes and fees. When I went online and looked up the property for the nights that he told me it was total of $249 with tax and fees. So I asked him how is this right that I get this free vacation and only save $140? He tried to tell be because of this certificate I get the discount. That was very funny to me. Then he said I can opt out of the $79 cancelation fee. What a ridiculous thing, that he didn't even give me as an option. Anyway I know that we have to pay taxes on things but I expected this to be alike it said on the certificate " book the vacation of your dreams?" So then the option for the 4 nights is a studio, that if I had to book myself at that hotel, for one bedroom was $35 a night. WHAT! Wow, what a dream vacation that is, a studio, and only good for the date he gives me. lol.. So I asked to speak with a supervisor and after 15 min on hold on e gets on ( by the way, are all their representatives are from India?), his name was Albert at ex:66500. He said that it is not their fault and they are not related to whoever gave me the certificate, they only redeem the code that is on the certificate for what is given to me and if I had a problem to contact the place I had the meeting at. Wow so I ask what company he works for and he said Sears Resort Reservations, so I guess Sears Vacation Club and Sears Resort Reservations are two different companies. I am shocked at the way I have fallen for such a scam. They lie that I won a vacation and not to mention it is only the hotel stay and not the cruise I was told about. I will not shop at Sear anymore and I will never fall for such scams. I became a member in the month of April 2017, after attending the conference because they called and called and called, so eventually when they offered the cheap deals compared to the competition, I joined. My decision was to be repented, stress out will be common on calls because they will transfer you left and right. Worst experience ever. I thought I was Half Indian and my English would be bad because English is Indians second language. My experience was more Chinese English and Mexican English like, Trust my experience when you will be on the phone you will distinguish the accent of uniqueness with them. I would rather spend little more money upfront to the place of vacation then to deal with this headache of sears vacation of unsatisfactory communication. Sears Direct Access is a scam. Do not waste your money like myself and my husband did. I actually found cheaper prices on a hotel's direct website versus what they offered. When I called to report it, the guy made an excuse that they always offer the lowest rate. When I told him where I saw the lowest rate and he went to the hotel's direct website and saw it was lower than Direct Access, he didn't have any more words to say. After paying over $1500.00 dollars toward their so called vacation club that I was told would save me lots of money, it turns out that it didn't. I requested to cancel everything and lost all the money I vested. Listen to me! DO NOT SIGN UP WITH THIS COMPANY!! IT DOES NOT SAVE YOU MONEY! NO MATTER WHAT THEIR SALES PEOPLE SAY, THEY ARE LIARS. I bought select access membership and regret it very much!!! I am going to cancel my membership for which I have already partially paid and thinking about suing them for fraud and breach of contract. 1. They promised great service. None exists. The person who sold me the plan, Jason Williams, said that one of the greatest benefits of the membership is personal travel agent and accounts manager. He lied! He promised to call us two days later to walk us through the system, he did not. I have been trying to reach him for almost a month with no success. I am transferred to the voicemail every time when I call either using his extension or being forwarded to him through costumer service. He never bothered to call back! 2. There was an issue with fee and payments. Jason promised me 18 payments for 50 dollars. I ended up with 15 payments of 72 dollars, which includes 12 dollars of processing fee. It turned out those 12 dollars do not go to the balance. Nobody explained that. In contrary, they did everything to make it a minor or unimportant issue. In end, I will have to pay additional 180 dollars. 3. They promised great selection of hotels and resorts. So, it turned out that they can not offer me any ski resort on a mountain in Pennsylvania, New Hampshire or Vermont for the first week of February. Great choice = no choice at all. 4. Their website is terrible. No pictures or direct links to the hotel or resort. You have to google it. So much for convenient service and saving your time. 5. Their highly advertised free 7-day vacation certificate, which they use to lure you in, is another very disappointing issue. You receive you certificate, but... it turned out if I want to go to Cancun in March I have to pay around 800 dollars or around 200 dollars in worse resort, and certificate does not cover all-inclusive resorts. However, when I had been promised this free vacation, several people repeated couple of times that vacation will be totally free in luxurious regular and all-inclusive resorts in USA or Mexico. On Friday, from their representative (Keny), I learned that I can go only to Mexico. To sum up, the do not only hold back important information, they are laying!!! This company is a fraud. The sales pitch talks about how much money you can save on hotels, resorts, cruises, and vacations. In reality, you can only save money through their very limited specials. I need to book a hotel for travel next month. The hotel itself does have higher listed prices than Sears Vacations. However, Sears Vacations advertised an 18% savings. They must be tacking on fees at the back end (exactly what they say they don't do), because the actual savings would have been $3.44. That works out to less than 1/2 of a percent! To pay for a membership and save 0.5% per booking is crazy. More importantly, I've been trying to cancel my account for a week. I've called three times now, and everytime I call, the proper department to speak to is conveniently closed during otherwise normal operating hours for the company. Yesterday, I was told that "the department" (never named) will be open today from 7am - 3pm. Called today, spoke to an unbelievably rude "concierge" just to be told they are not open on the weekend. My next call will be to an attorney. Better Business Bureau complaint forthcoming! Save yourself the aggreivation; the membership is not worth your money. You can find deals via other outlets like Groupon Getaways that don't require a financial commitment on your part. I wish I would have read these reviews before signing up! read more

There are lots of reviews on Google on Sear Vacation. read Carefully before you make any decisions. Now, that I read all the reviews, I kind of feel relieved. Cause I was blaming myself to be such a stupid, but after reading the reviews, I understand that I am not a stupid, they are really good at how they manage to get your money and give you nothing instead. My experience with them: My wife and I went to a sears vacation. They give my wife a certificate for 7 nights free resort. I decided to go to Vegas with that. I searched some travel websites and the price for 4 nights in that resort for the time that I had in my mind was 120$. I called them and assumed that it would be free for me. Turns out that I have to pay 97$ for something that its real worth is 120$. After a week, I called them to cancel that trip. First they told me that I can not get back my money. The only thing that I can do would be changing the trip time or destination. I told them that at the time of booking, I specifically asked the agent that "Can I cancel this trip and get my money back and your agent told me yes". So, they told me they are going to listen that call records and will call me again (Literally means we think you are lying and we have to check to make sure). It seems that they checked the call records and understand that I ma not lying. So, after about 15 minutes, they called me and told me that the only thing that we refund you would be your 18$ for taxes and fee. The 79$ was for cancellation insurance and we can not refund you that part. So, I ended up paying 79$ to make my 18$ refudable :D read more

I have left a review here earlier but could not find it to expand on how bad this company is. First, THEY ARE NOT SEARS! IT IS AN INTERNATIONAL CRUISE and TIMESHARE COMPANY! I booked a week in Cancun after purchasing their $$5K program for their 4 week - 1 was free for attending their seminar on the program. When I arrived at the resort I was charged another resort and tax fee of $75 which I had paid when I booked it with Sears for $65. So your membership payment is not all you pay. Each resort has another fee and they will not give you a room until you pay. Then there is a $500 deposit at each resort so if you charge anything it is on your room. They have limited availability and you cannot book during "high season" so you are getting off season access which is cheaper with flights if you book it yourself which I should have done. I am not going to rejoin or purchase another membership again and I DO NOT Recommend this for anyone. Your information is being sold to an international timeshare company that has nothing to do with sears. Even if it was sears they are on the verge of bankruptcy so again I would not recommend this at all. You WILL NOT GET YOUR MONEY BACK so think long and hard before you become a member if that is the route you are going. I have never received a call from anyone that can help me to get any satisfaction on the extra charges from the resort, I only get calls from reps trying to make their quotas to book you out on the certificates. read more

It was a bad investment for me. You have to have a ton of flexibility and free time. Listen to the pitch and make sure that you have the time and the willingness to go "wherever" in order to really be able to take advantage of this at all. I gave them a lot of my money and so far have not been able to work out using ANY of the "free" vacation certificates and have only used this service to book a couple hotel rooms for not very cheap. Feeling taken. That is for certain. Oh, and when you do call to book...which you will have to, make sure you have lots of time...it is not a quick or simple process. REALLY a waste for me. Make sure you are in the right space in your life to use this. Personally I should have used that 5 grand in a much wiser way. read more

This membership is too expensive, we bought the 6000 dollar package based on the fact that we were sold on the fact that we would be able to use our four free resort certificates to book a free cruise of our choice for 4 people. At the presentation the sales rep showed us on the computer how we could use the package cost to get a cruise that we were going to pay cash for any way, but instead take the membership and get the cruise for free (under the membership), and the rest would just be gravy. SO we did it, we paid full price for their diamond package. Once we became members none of their concierge reps knew how to go about doing it, they kept telling us you can't get a free 11 days cruise for a 7 days, which I found out later was untrue, I called back the rep and let him know how to do his job. The only problem is that the cruises that are free are on weird off non peak times and the good ones don't leave from NYC,only Baltimore. For the actual cruise we wanted,they tried to charge us on top of the 6000 dollar member ship fee, 5000 dollars per cabin extra for 4 people in two balcony rooms. Insane! this was more than what the NCL was charging on their site, without a friggin membership fee! when we told the manager, she says I don't understand we are always cheaper! BS! She went onto NCL site and found what I was saying to be true, I told her to cancel the membership before it hit my 3 day window, she then called me back to state that something was wrong with Norwegian site, which made the price lower than sears, are you crazy, the only thing wrong is sears going bankrupt and now trying to take advantage of working people by promising one thing and delivering another! SCAM...Alert..still awaiting my refund! Don't buy! The only reason they got a two star is because the sales rep at the hotel was pleasant and knowledgeable unlike the concierge staff. read more

Don't do it. It's a scam and you'll never make your money back. The online search tool is terrible and very difficult to use. They offer many incentives that have many "hoops" you have to jump through and there's a lot of restrictions. They offer "savings credits" that you can hardly use on anything, so even if you have $100 in savings credits, you can only use a few dollars on a hotel reservations in rare cases. The same is true for the lifestyle collections and restaurant.com gift card they may offer you. read more

**Did i just get scammed?!?!*** Frustrated... I attended the presentation and decide to see how the service and vacation goes before deciding to purchase. You have to activate your free cruise voucher within 30 days. Called to do so on Sunday and was essentially told that I needed to call back Monday because I didn't have a certificate number and they aren't staffed on Sunday, so there was no one that could help me. Nice... call back Monday. Again I am asked for a certificate number that I wasn't provided with (side note, I asked my sales rep if their should be a number on the voucher and he said "no, I am putting the info in the computer). Eventually the guy found my info and made it sound like he was transferring me to someone to set up the cruise. That person asked for my phone number and said that they did not show any account or voucher for me. "What?!?! The last guy litteraly found my info and tried to upsell me before transferring me to you..." Then I am told that I was transferred to the wrong place and was left on hold for 20 min before I had to hang up because I was at work. Long story short, simply based on the service (not even the fact that I have clearly been duped) and lack of transparency, knowlege/willingness to help and terrible experience this has been, I would not recommend doing business with this company. Sears should be ashamed to have their name associated with this fly by night bait and switch operation. I will be contacting the BBB about this. read more

I got suckered in by a lady walking around with a tablet at Sears at the mall. I was told its for a lucky draw and what not. Next thing I know is they call me and told me about SEARS VACATIONS and that I will get 2 $200 restaurant.com gift cards, 1 $50 sears card and one 7 day vacation package for just checking out the 90 minute presentation in Scottsdale. I must say at first it sounds very good when they show you their price difference compared to Priceline, Expedia etc. I was all interested until they started talking about the price of this package. Starting at $5000. Are you kidding me? who the hell is going to pay you 5000 for a vacation package when we barely know anything about Sears Vacation. Anyways any company is only as good as its word and SEARS suckered us in to this by offering us the freebies, but wait the freebies are B.S too. The restaurant.com gift card is not actually a gift card. Its more like a groupon and can only be used at struggling businesses with low ratings. You cant pay your bill with this gift card. It only lets you buy a coupon which you take in and it takes only 50% off your bill. So far Im pretty pissed that they lie to people to begin with. Even though i was interested in buying their Vacation package, but i wont do it anymore since they conned us to begin with. I still have to see if the FREE 7 day they gave us is any good or not. Most people here are complaining about that too. So lets see. My advice, Sears is going downhill and this is their new way of suckering people in. I have been a member since 2014. I don't know about all this negative reports but my experience has been great. We sign up and we got like 5 free getaways. Then after we finished paying we got 3 more. The locations are fine, as long they are safe is ok with me. I really do not spend to much time in hotels or resorts I just need a place to sleep and have my personal items safe. We have been in Williamsburg, Va. Orlando, Florida(2 times), Las Vegas Nevada. Mexico, Cancun, Ocean city. Myrtle beach etc. It is great. We have saved tons. You just need to use your certificate that allow you to book for a free week and then just pay taxes and resorts fee that can be 60 dollars a week. That is it. You can go to Europe. I was Approached for a chance to win a 7 day resort stay so I signed up hoping to win! I was called two weeks later they then began asking me how much I made I then told them I wasn't sure if I made more then 20,000 a year as I didn't want to disclose that info they then stated that they were sorry and that I wasn't eligible as they didn't want me to miss work and lose out on money lmao so I asked what was the minimum a year they stated 40,000 so I said I'm sure I make that much let me do the math so I said I made a little above 40,000 because I wanted that prize! So I told them I made the minimum to win my prize they then said okay you can come in at such and such time to collect your prize it would take about an hour and that their would be breakfast so I arrived at 9:25am I didn't leave until 12:00pm and their was no breakfast just snacks and drinks... Well it took so long because they were giving me a sales pitch talking about how much other travel sites rip you off telling me and a group of other winners that they could save us over 70% practically all the time and that they could do this because their not making money off of the hotels or resorts but that they make their money off of a 50 subscription plan every 4 years what a load of bs well after pitching me their offer witch I never wanted I told them how was I sure they could save me so much they then kept restating how I would be ripped off at retail and that this is a whole sale so I pretty much half to trust their telling me the truth so at the end of it all if I wanted my prize I would half to sign up starting from 300 down to 5000 down... Well I declined and they gave me 7 day resort stay only usable in Mexico a 50 dollar gift card to Sears 250 dollar redeemable card for a hotel through Sears and a 100 redeemable restaurant card that was only usable at crappy food locations and a few at that so at the end of all this its just a big sales pitch the prize they offer is a load of crap I was told it was a resort stay anywhere in the us upon signing and a 3 gift cards... not redeemable cards that kinda suck it wasn't really worth it and it wasn't really a prize these guys are thieves and liars don't trust them it's a load of crap trust me don't waste your time. read more
