This is a county beach snack bar with public restrooms attached. Cheaper better food across street.

Snappers was packed at 6:30pm on a Tuesday night. However, as it was late July, we were able to get a table outside right away. There are fans to help with the heat, and it's well ventilated so there was a nice breeze. Our server was prompt and friendly. The menu was seafood with an Asian flair. We started with the crab stuffed portobello (probably the weakest part of the meal) and delicious coconut shrimp. After that, our entrees came with salads, which were also great (tortilla chips and a zesty dressing made it more fun than your usual house salad, but it didn't feel too decadent). I got the snapper, which was served over coconut rice and with a delicious curry sauce and mango chutney. The curry reminded me more of thinner Japanese curry versus Indian or Thai, which I loved. The snapper itself was a nicely-sized piece and was cooked/seasoned perfectly with a hint of spice. The coconut sticky rice was so addictive!! The sweetness of the mango chutney just made each bite a wonderful flavor explosion. I would 100% recommend this dish. My husband got the coconut cashew crusted mahi, which was also excellent (and another huge portion of fish). It seems like you can't go wrong here with a fish dish!

We were seated in the bar and the tables had nice leather arm chairs, but they sit so low my face was level with the table. I had to pull the back cushion to sit on and kept slipping off my seat. My husband is really tall and he had the same issue. So my evening did not get off to a fantastic start until my vesper martini arrived. And wow was it good! We ordered onion rings as an appetizer and they were perfection! My filet and my husbands ribeye were both really good and cooked perfectly with excellent cuts of meat. The quality was wonderful. We enjoyed the mashed potatoes, the jalapeno corn, and the Mac and cheese as our shared sides. We will definitely be back!

Johnathan was our server and appeared immediately to take our water preference and go over the specials. While the wine by the glass was ok, they have an excellent wine by the bottle menu with a wide range of prices. We had a delicious bottle of French Bordeaux and the fresh bread was beautifully presented, it was giving diagonal slices baguette with an Olive Garden breadstick style salty topping. The appetizers all sounded amazing and we were told the steak carpaccio was a must have. We started with that, the scallops and the crab cake. Everyone in our party (we had some college kids) were trying carpaccio and crab cakes for the first time and all absolutely loved them. Everything was seared, cooked or presented to perfection. Course two we split a few Cesar salads; nice chilled bowls and fair portions to share amongst the table. I know a Cesar seems boring, but a perfectly dressed and cold salad is such a nice lead in to a hot steak. We did a few sliced filets for the table with the Mac n cheese, pasta w/princess sauce and Brussel sprouts. The sprouts were incredible, we did them without bacon and they were cooked and crispy with a slight spicy honey flavor. The Mac n cheese was creamy and decadent and a good portion. Steak was PERFECT; sliced as desired, cooked to exact temperatures ordered (Mr & M) and had such a good crust and cut like butter. Needless to say we didn't make it to dessert, but we hear the bananas foster was to die for. They have perfectly mastered modern, new age trendy and dark and moody inside. It felt right for a family, a date night or even a solo dinner at the bar. They have a main dining room, a moody bar and some low bar tables that have a mix of cocktail lounge and ladies glamorous evening out vibes. We will 100% be back

We had a 7 PM reservation, but got there about 30 mins early and the hostess was able to seat us immediately. Turns out the hostess was also our server and she immediately grabbed us waters and drinks. She was such a pleasure and both her and what I assume was either the manager or the owner both stopped by several times throughout the meal to touch base. We started with the drunken shrimp appetizer and a half a dozen oysters. The shrimp appetizer tasted great. The shrimp were cooked perfectly and the sauce was flavorful. We wished it came with more than two small crostinis for 6 shrimp, but we solved that problem by using the complimentary dinner rolls to sop up the rest of the sauce. The oysters are shucked fresh to order, but let me tell you they were some of the biggest freshest oysters we've enjoyed since moving to Florida 10 years ago. For dinner, I got the wild caught salmon with wild rice and broccolini and my husband ordered the fish special of blackened swordfish over beet risotto with a vegetable medley. Both were amazing and we cleaned our plates. We finished with a key lime pie and a lemon raspberry cheesecake which our server informed us were homemade daily by a sweet old lady named Glenna who owns her own local bakery. In fact, we learned the restaurant even sources all of their fish caught fresh by a local fisherman. We thought that was so cool because we love supporting our local St Pete businesses. Highly recommend giving this place a go if you're in SPB!

There were hardly any cars or people sitting outside. Then a server opened the door...and at around 7pm we found the spot kinda empty. Good or bad sign? They sat us down and looked at the menu. It looked good but didn't see much variety. It was much higher type of seafood dishes and beef options. We did come here bc of a reservation so we went further. We chose the mussels in a tomato sauce as appetizers to begin. We ordered the Pinot Grigio and unfortunately I had to send mine glass back bc it just wasn't a good wine. Had to ask for more bread bc you can't give me mussels with a great sauce and not use bread to finish it. They were good size mussels. We shared the entree which was the seafood pappardelle pasta in a cream sauce which had lobster, shrimp, and scallops. The sauce was good but they must have salted the pasta a bit too much which def made the dish richer. The service was good, but for the prices here you'd expect something more since the server did not know about the sauces and how things were prepared. Kinda of a bummer when she had to go back to the chef to ask. But it seemed everything was just higher in price. Overall it was ok. Just for the prices, you expect the food to be exceptional. Things just didn't align.

Although the restaurant has beautiful waterfront seating, we chose to sit inside since it was very hot outside. We started with the Louisiana Seafood Gumbo (bowl, $13.97), which was delicious. The Chicken Wings ($13.89 for 6 pieces) were outstanding and crispy on the outside, tender and juicy on the inside. They were definitely my favorite dish of the meal. We also tried the Shrimp-N-Grits ($27.97), which was a unique combination of Argentine red shrimp, creamy cheese grits, sausage, tomatoes, scallions, and other ingredients. It was flavorful and different from anything we've had before. The Jambalaya ($21.93) was just okay. It had plenty of ingredients, but it was a little too salty for my taste. The service was excellent, and the staff were friendly and attentive. The restaurant also has a full bar and, I believe, live music in the evenings, making it a great place to relax. We'll definitely come back the next time we're in St. Pete Beach.
