Delicious food, great views, fresh, awesome bartender and service. I highly recommend. Quick too

After we consumed lobster, crab, and shrimp. The were out of oysters We made up for it.

We totally indulged here! It was my sister's 50th and it was the perfect spot. Even though the place is huge, I recommend making reservations. Quality of the food was top-notch. It can be a bit loud, but that comes and goes. We even ended the night moving to the dance floor for a couple Santana songs. Great fun!

I can't speak for everyone else I can only say the day my daughter and I went. Everyone was absolutely excellent. The view was excellent. The food was excellent and we got there at an excellent hour. The Staff were Excellent! Donna thank you! I couldn't sum it up any better than to declare all of it as Excellent!

The crab and shrimp boil was delicious.

This place is great. We went for an early dinner (5:00) and glad we did because it got very busy. The service was great and so were the happy hour specials. The house margarita was very good. We had the crab and shrimp boil. It was so delicious. There was a lot of food and it was all amazing. It was $39 but well worth it. We enjoyed every bite.

Great food, great service, great old school feel. Maddie was our server. My wife has been serving for the best coconut shrimp.... She found them.

Our first time here! We came with some friends on a weekend and were able to get right in. There are lots of tables in the restaurant side with a really nice view from the window tables. They also have a bar side to the left of the restaurant entrance. I'm not sure if food is served over there. All the kids ordered chicken tenders and fries and it was pretty standard. My husband and I ordered the Snow crab legs, and our friends ordered the stone crab. He did have questions about the size and they so kindly walked us over some of the claws to show how big they were! So nice. We really enjoyed the food! There's also a little dock you can walk down to rent clear kayaks and go paddling. Really cute!!

We were excited to get the Lobster a la cart 14.99 special. I was not expecting a whole lobster, and it was delicious! Service was pleasant, and the place is huge with TVs in one areas and the best A/C ! Can't wait to come back!

    Enjoy the ride!

Love Billy's for the resilience and dedication they have had over the many years! The place for crab legs and a great salad. Not a place for wanna be "foodies" or influencers who want to give shitty reviews to make themselves feel better! Support our locals who invest in our community!

Casual! Whole fried snapper! Fried Wahoo! Local fish! Full menu, full bar…read more Hookin' Aint Easy Seafood Company is a cool house converted into a fish market and patio with a food truck and a bar with chairs with backs. There's plenty of umbrellaed tables and picnic tables. They have a full menu of apps, seafood, and burgers. Their whole fried snapper is one of our favorite fish, and Hookin' serves a generous serving, perfectly tender and sweet, in a light crispy layer of coating, on a regular soft bun, with lettuce, tomato, and red onion. Their Fried Wahoo is also well-prepared. We got fried, and it was tender and fresh. Both fish came with a heaping serving of hot crispy fries. You could also get either fish blackened, and you could add various veggies as sides. We ordered our food and also picked it up ourselves at the bar. Hookin' can get crowded, especially when they have a live musician, and parking can get pretty tight. It's just off I-275 at 22nd St, in St. Pete Fl east of Gulfport. They keep their social media pretty up-to-date, but we didn't track down a "regular" webpage.

I have never eaten blue crabs from the shell,…read moreand I love whole lobster, so I thought that deconstructing another type of crustacean would be fun. I got off the bus and walked across the street and into the parking lot. It was fairly busy, and I made my way to the patio area, because outside seating only. There was a kind of tiki bar with a line where you go up and get your own alcoholic beverage any time you want. You can eat at the bar or at any of the picnic tables that you pass on the way to a kind of food truck with a window where you order your food and buy bottles of soda and iced tea from a vat full of ice. I loved the vibes right away. I got in line at the "truck". Then it was my turn to order. Well, whaddaya know, they just ran out of blue crabs! And no soft-shell crabs were available as the water they live in is not warm enough yet. But they did have one of my favorite seafood delicacies, stone crab claws, so I ordered those instead, and asked for the mustard sauce instead of melted butter. I also ordered French fries and cole slaw for my sides. And then I ordered one-half dozen raw oysters, because. I was given a little wire stand with a card inserted into the top with my order number on it, to be placed on my table. Then I sauntered over to the bar and ordered an IPA from the busy, bearded and well-tattooed bartender. If you are wearing shades you will be admonished to remove them before paying, and I saw why, as the display on the... pay thingy has excessive polarization. Next I found a good spot in the shade and sipped my beer and checked the place out. Was there music? I think so, but I can't remember! Just all kinds of folks having a good time. Two preschoolers were busily playing in the sand by the main walkway to the food line, and took up most of the path most of the time, but nobody seemed to mind. If you aren't into playing with little trucks in the sand I think there is also corn hole off in one corner. If you don't know what that is, I dare you to look it up. After not too long some plates of food showed up, and I took some pictures and then got busy. First I tried the fries, because they are best when fresh and hot, but the fries were limp and sad. I just let their little ol' hand-cut selves alone. The oysters were served on the half shell on ice, and came with nice hot grated horseradish and cocktail sauce, plenty of lemon wedges, and saltine crackers. They were excellent! Then I turned my attention to the claws, glorious stone crab claws. I noticed that I was given butter instead of mustard sauce. That didn't stop me. But what did slow me down was the lack of a claw-cracker. The claws were pre-cracked a bit, but not in a way that was helpful to get at the meat. And I need leverage to rip the joints apart as my fingers don't work like they used to, so I asked for, and received quickly, a cracker. Some of the claws were on the small side, and the meat in some of the claws was a bit soft-feeling, but it was all pretty tasty. However, they fell short of my previous experiences elsewhere, including when I cooked some at home a few years ago. The cole slaw was very good. The young guy who brought my food and cracker tool was friendly, and quite funny. The woman who took my order was also nice. The bartender was just to busy to be anything but awesome. So all in all, the food was a bit of a letdown. I will try to go back for the crabs, and I saw hush puppies in a photo, that would be better than the fries.

The jalapeño, in particular, provided a pleasant kick that elevated the dish nicely. Tedie and I both ordered the grouper tacos. Tedie chose the "Florida Man" preparation (broiled), while I selected the "Dirté."(fried) The fish appeared to be either red or gag grouper. Interestingly, she preferred mine, while I found myself enjoying hers a bit more. The cucumber spaghetti side was refreshing, though I think it could benefit from a bolder flavor profile. It's something I'll likely recreate at home with a bit more seasoning. The Cajun fries were well-executed and made for a satisfying accompaniment. Overall, I'm glad we gave this place a try and would recommend it to others. In terms of value for the money, I'd rate it a solid 7 out of 10.

We started off with a bowl of New England clam chowder and a dozen oysters. To what are whistles we got a glass of their tap Chardonnay and a beer. My wife's Chardonnay was ridiculously good! But nothing could beat those oysters - sweet with a little bit of brine, and very fresh. For dinner we got a lobster roll - they come hot or cold, with the hot coming with melted butter. We also got the fried haddock roll.... Wow! Both were fantastic! I know we overdid it with dinner.... We even got an order of the whole belly clams. I didn't think anyone in Florida served those down here! Absolutely ridiculous . In short, we had fantastic dinner and terrific beverages. This is the kind of place that feels like it's been around forever, in the best way. Spacious for the area, lively without being chaotic, and backed by attentive service that keeps things moving even when it's busy. The menu is extensive, and then just when you think you've seen it all, there's a specials board tucked away with even more to choose from. If you can time your visit right, Tuesday is the move. They run a buy one pound, get one pound half off deal on snow crab legs, and it's easily one of the best values around. The snow crab legs are fresh and satisfying, and the Dungeness crab holds its own as well. Both pair perfectly with their rich, drawn butter, simple but done right. Portion sizes here are no joke. The shrimp skewers are almost excessive in the best way. Three skewers loaded with roughly eight shrimp each, so you're looking at around two dozen shrimp total, all a solid medium-large size. It's the kind of dish that makes you pause when it hits the table. The shrimp pasta is another standout and clearly a house favorite. It's packed with flavor and easily one of the more memorable dishes on the menu. Good enough that ordering a second one to-go actually makes sense. The clam chowder, though, was the one miss. While it's loaded with plenty of clam meat and has a hearty base, there's a slightly smoky flavor that throws it off. If you're a chowder fan, it might not hit the mark. Probably something to skip next time. As for the crab cakes, they passed a pretty tough test. A Maryland native at the table gave them a strong approval, which says a lot. Pro tip: Get there early, ideally around lunch, if you want to lock in that snow crab deal. It's popular, and you don't want to risk missing out. Overall, this is a reliable, crowd-pleasing seafood spot that leans into big portions, solid execution, and a relaxed coastal vibe. Whether you're a local or just visiting St. Pete Beach, it's an easy recommendation and definitely worth a return trip.
