This place is definitely a find! Amazing seafood! We found it while staying at St Pete Beach. They sat us outside since we wanted the nice sea breeze and the setting sun. Btw --ask (if possible) for Alan if you want the best service in St Pete Beach. He was super knowledgeable on every single dish and had the best of recommendations. Something tells me this guys is a true foodie! He said to try the Blue Fin Tuna appetizer which was killer esp with its teriyaki/blueberry sauce. We also split the Coconut Curry Snapper (Thai style curry btw) we added the Crispy Brussel sprouts as an addition. The snapper came out great -- soft, flavorful, and little sweet with a bit of a soft kick that complemented the coconut rice. This is a place to go when you stop at the bar first. The bartender is great. You cannot go wrong. Then, after the cocktail, head to grab a seat and look into the menu. being right on the Gulf of Mexico you have a great place to look at while having an excellent seafood dinner. And the fish is fresh. That is what is most important. Without good food you can get no place. Naturally, it depends on the style you like. It might be different than what is expected. Going with friends, and having a few drinks, we still knew what we ordered and we we had to eat. It was good and all fresh and tasty. No heavy spices. Some items were different and we need to ask about them from the team. In general it was fine. Snapper's is a place to go. Bring your appetite with you. There was a bit of a wait for a table, but totally worth it. The Brussels sprouts were fried perfectly and tossed in a bright, citrusy ponzu with crispy onions on top--so good. The zucchini sticks were great too, especially with their cocktail-based tiger sauce. For the main course, I had the Risotto Oceana, and wow... the scallops were honestly the best I've ever had--perfectly cooked and paired with a creamy garlic risotto. The food is always fabulous as snappers. We go there at least once when we go to our timeshare.. Saint Pete Beach and Snappers is just 10 minutes away. The special hummus and unique breadsticks are delightful and their salad is absolutely delightful.. We always get the phillo wrapped mashed potatoes. Yum we always get the surf and turf, and it is served with a beautiful purple orchid on the plate.. the service is top-notch. And inside and outdoor dining are available and they have added a bar on one side, even though they don't offer liquor drinks they do have wine and some beers and some other low alcohol alcoholic drinks that are made now. We were seated quickly and had a choice of outdoor on the veranda which was a bit more casual/beach vibe or indoor seating which was very nice but seemed a bit more formal. Our server Paul was the best. Very attentive and pleasant. We both ordered dinners which come with salad and homemade hummus with flatbread. The hummus was very tasty. We had coconut shrimp appetizer which was very good, four large shrimp served with house made zipping sauce. The filet mignon was cooked to perfection and the stuffed grouper was also a very good choice. Both entrees came with a house made potato in pastry puff, also very good. My son and I ate dinner here this week while we were in the area. We had about a 10 minute wait to be seated, so not bad. While we were waiting outside, we were looking over the menu and another nice family that was walking by stopped us and said it was great and worth the wait. It had a nice relaxing outdoor setting where we sat. We started off with some pita crisps and a dip. It was very tasty. My son's meal came with a salad which he said was good. He also ordered the Chicken Alfredo with the chicken blackened, which was good. I ordered appetizers as my meal. I ordered the Coconut Shrimp and the Brussel Sprouts. I have lived in the area for almost 8 years and always wanted to check out this place! Finally made it this past weekend, we waited about 10-15 mins for an outdoor table. Service was pretty good. My husband ordered the stuffed grouper and I got the cashew mahi mahi. Both were super flavorful and delicious! This spot was DELICIOUS and absolutely impressed me at the price point! My husband and I came during the early dining special, and got 2 entrees and an app for under $50! We started with the sweet potato fries which were very thick--soft in the center with crispy edges which were great. The parm crème on the side tasted even better than I expected! My meal was the linguini Alfredo with jumbo shrimp. The Alfredo sauce was incredible!! This was my favorite part of the meal. The past was cooked perfectly. The shrimp was good but nothing spectacular in my opinion. My side salad was delicious with the balsamic vinaigrette! I loved this even more than I expected. Same with the key lime pie--this isn't a go-to for me, but it had just the right combination of sweet and tang, and the crust was the perfect texture. The perfect way to end the meal! My husbands' captains platter was delicious as well. The haddock was my favorite part! The flavor of their breading and fryer oil was very light, which made this meal even better than I expected. Even the fries which looked pretty average to me were crispier and tastier than I expected! The restaurant was smaller than I thought, and we got a table outside despite it being a little chilly, in order to avoid a 30 minute wait at 5pm on a Monday. We did enjoy the plastic enclosure that blocked out the wind, and heating lamps that helped with the cold. Our server did a great job for us as well--it was clear he didn't have many tables, so he checked on us often. The service was top notch (thanks Doug) and the outside porch is upscale, modern, and comfortable. The early bird offerings are really nice, and the portions were generous. I enjoyed the fried zucchini appetizer (perfect) , the house salad (surprisingly good), and the broiled captains platter. The fish tasted very fresh and the portion was great. This was actually our 2nd visit to Snapper's Sea Grill. We were here last year. I realized I did not leave a review. The food was good both times. Snapper's is right on the main st of St. Pete's Beach, Gulf Blvd. There is plenty of parking in the back. The entrance is shaded, makes it somewhat intimate. The trees provide nice cover for the outside seating area. The inside is small and dim. The tables have soft lighting. Our server greeted us immediately. He was friendly, efficient and attentive. Appetizer: 4 Jumbo Caribbean shrimp rolled in sweet coconut, flash fried with Chef's dipping sauce. It is a delicious app. The shrimp on this side of Florida are sweeter and fresher. Entrees: Fisherman's Platter - Fried jumbo shrimp, bay scallops and fish filet with Fries and slaw. My husband ordered double shrimp in place of the scallops. Everything is fried heaven. Orange Glazed Salmon - Asian inspired glaze, broiled Atlantic salmon over spinach bed with sticky rice. This was delicious. The salmon was so perfectly cooked, it melted in my mouth. The food was AMAZING...all around. The shrimp and scallops were cooked perfectly, so was the risotto. The mango chutney was fire on snapper. Even my son's pizza was good. Service was great. We had Mel-she was fantastic. She was always there with what we wanted/needed. We chose the patio. Warm day but the ambiance was chill even still. Found this on Yelp and of course had to try it. Locally owned and the dishes were really great. I had the stuffed grouper with a Florida beer and it really was fantastic and full of flavor! We also had the wasabi tuna which was massive. Our server again was super helpful and also worked at their parter restaurant 1200°. I forgot his name but he was great and calm and full of recommendations. The portions here were amazing and it was fairly priced. We did hear if you get here early there's specials but that's ok we didn't. Oh I must mention the salad which everyone went crazy over the dressing. I'd bottle the stuff!! My husband and I randomly went to dinner here on a rainy Monday evening. We were quoted 40 minutes for a table, but were sat in 5 mins...I'd say that's a bit of an over quote from the hostess. We almost left to go somewhere else, but glad we stuck around. Overall, service was great. Super friendly and attentive. They give you a LOT of food. The hummus and pita they bring you to start was just okay... it...didn't have much flavor. I honestly could've done without it altogether. Next we had the salads that come with the entrees. Again, just okay. I would've been okay without them. We also ordered the crab stuffed mushroom and it tasted delicious, but the presentation was interesting to say the least. When the server dropped it off, we actually weren't sure what it was because it's a large portobello mushroom stuffed with crab and completely smothered in sauce and cheese. Next, I ordered the wasabi crusted tuna steak which came with a potato puff and veggies and my husband ordered the ribeye which came with fried onion straws and a potato puff. The tuna steak was cooked a perfect medium rare and was really really good. I can see why the menu says it's the most popular order! My husband really enjoyed his steak and the fried onions. Neither one of us was a fan of the potato puff...it was just kind of weird. It's like cut up red potatoes covered in puff pastry. We both ordered the wasabi tuna which is described as stirfry. It was a slop mess. There's some yellow pure that is so over powering that the tuna is unenjoyable. Incredible meal, cooked to perfection! I had the Stuffed Gulf Grouper--which basically melted in my mouth--and my partner had the Neptune special (lobster tail, bay scallops, and shrimp), we paired both with a glass of Malbec making our tastebuds dance! For dessert we partook in their crème brûlée and key lime pie-- both were incredibly savory! The key lime pie was done really well, having a strong tart lime end flavor. Service was timely, knowledgeable, and professional. The outside bar, serving beer or wine while we waited for our table was a nice option as well. I had the alfredo with black and chicken that was really good.We had the zucchini fries as an appetizer, and I ordered a basket of the popcorn shrimp.All of it was very delicious. Excellent place on St. Pete beach! We enjoyed the food so much that I forgot to take pictures. We all shared some zucchini fries to start. They were hand breaded and delicious! My friend had the seafood platter and it was so enormous that he took at least half home! Huge shrimp! My other friend has the stuffed grouper and said it was dynamite. I had the fantail shrimp and they were perfectly cooked and plentiful! (To go bag for me too- I ate for breakfast! lol). We had about a 10 min wait so not bad but no bar. There is only beer and wine but a huge selection so we all had good drinks. The service was outstanding. I will definitely be back and certainly recommend! read more

Good seafood but spotty on a few dishes. They offer a few unique ways to serve fish. They are also very flexible about preparing a dish the way you want it, even though it is not on the menu. Our server was very good, but tried to memorize our order instead of writing it down. It did not work out well but we ended up with what we originally ordered. The food was good. We came here while in town and were absbolutely thrilled with the service, the quality, and the overall experience. It's super casual and fun inside - not a fancy "impress a first date" type of spot, but my husband and I are well beyond those moments and instead found excitement and comfort in the casual nooks where you felt there were only 5 tables and you were getting star treatment. Our server came quickly with waters, rattled off a few specials, and left us to ponder selections. We were really hesitant on the blueberry teriyaki tuna, but said... "when in rome" and went for it. We ordered two entrees and split them to be able to try both - the coconut curry and a crab-stuffed fish. The blueberry tuna was surprisingly specatular. The sauce was tangy, sweet, and complex and didn't overpower the delicate fish. It was also served with a wasabi cream, which really rounded out the flavors in my opinion. Our two entrees also were delicious - I was probably a bit more fond of the stuffed fish over the curry, but both were very flavorful, presented in a unique way, and cooked to perfection. They brought a key lime slice as a happy birthday finale, and even my dessert-weary husband remarked it was delicious and went back for another bite. we walked in here for a date night based on vibes alone. the lush landscaping and decor drew us in. we got seated immediately and the server did such a good job describing the menu that we ordered without even looking at it by his recommendations. they serve a salad with a homemade dressing that was to die for. i've never tasted anything like it. they also served hummus and flatbread (which was crispy, not soft, but actually amazing). we both loved our entrees which were off the specials menu. the snapper was so tender and flavorful. we were only in town for a few days and we went there twice because of how amazing it was. 10/10 recommend. read more

Another great place to dine in and around Tampa Bay greater area. This time it's out in St Petersburg Beach!! While there are many stores and shops and restaurants to choose from, we were once again recommended to this fine establishment. Parking I have to say is pretty limited (I was going to say horrible but that's just an overstatement). If you come and arrive early enough you might get a nice parking closer to the entrance, but paid parking of course. Most of the food we ordered were battered and deep fried, including the obvious french fries. Willing to try different establishment serving up similar american seafood comfort food allows one to experience different ways of how these were served and made. The customer service here was on-point, often coming in and out to ensure we are all well taken cared of. When in St. Pete's again, we'll definitely stop by this place again. read more

i can't even begin to describe how disappointed we are in our visit to Snapper's. We were ready to CELEBRATE. We were ready to have a celebratory dinner with Oysters & champagne. Lots of Champagne. It started out great! We got Andre & what an amazing human being. We LOVED Andre. However, the oysters we ordered came super fast, but not the Champagne. We starting eating the oysters & they were awful. Way too much breading, couldn't even find the oyster in there & the very first one I ate was so fishy it made me instantly chuck it in my napkin. It was bad. In the meantime, Andre kept running around back & fourth, but no Champagne. We finally flagged him down to just cancel it. Long story short, the reason we never got any Champagne was because the manager left the key to the liquor cabinet at home. Oysters appeared to be pre-made then, just baked off. That's not the way it's done folks. And the Manager not having a key to the liquor cabinet during the dinner service is moronic. Will never return. read more

Wonderful restaurant! Only regret is we don't live in St Pete's to come back. We were in town for a family memorial and having never been there we used the yelp app to help us find this place and then found an advertisement in a hotel magazine. We arrive without reservations and immediately seated for party of 4. Waitresses was bubbly and genuine with us review the menu and answer questions. The blue tuna appetizer was the best thing we all ate! Really could have just ordered one each and would have been extremely happy, fresh, flavorful and the spicy fried pasta really brought out the fresh tuna Asian flavor. Next my parents plates came with pretty little flowers which they of course had to take a pic, my sis and I both order the same thing the 'Dan's favorite' Mahi with coconut crust and the mango compote with banana and the piece of the fish in any other restaurant would have been 2 servings. Absolutely fabulous flavor, fish was delicious and light, tangy mango and the coconut crunch had my sis and I saying over and over how good it was....neither of us could finished and waitresses let us know for 'next time' that will do a split plate.
