On our latest Disneyland trip in June, one of the evenings we stopped by Star Trader before the store closed! This store originally opened up in 1967 and has changed during the years! When the debut of Star Tours opened, it was then transformed into Star Trader! Inside the store, you'll see a large X-Wing Starfighter hanging from the ceiling! Disneyland used to have the PeopleMover operating, but now the windows have been replaced with other projections. The store is open from 8:00 A.M to 12:00 A.M during the summer hours. There is so much merchandise in this store! You'll find limited edition collectibles, apparel and so much more! There is an assortment of Star wars merchandise, and Disneyland memorabilia. My daughter and I ended up picking up a 70th anniversary snow globe and shirts from here! There is also a unique experience at Start Trader. You can assemble a personalized lightsaber with different components and even adjustable sound effects! After riding Star Tours, you'll be dropped off into The Star Trader. This is one of the best shops in Disneyland and it's right next to Space Mountain too!

I stopped by looking for a specific pair of Mickey ears, though unfortunately, they didn't have the ones I wanted. I also had a headache and asked if they carried Tylenol, they did, sold in small packets. It was a bit pricey for just a few pills, so next time I'll be sure to bring my own. The staff were incredibly kind and helpful. One of them suggested that if I ever need medication again, I could go to the nearby nurse's station, where basic items like pain relievers are provided at no charge. That was really thoughtful advice! The shop itself was very clean, well kept, and organized. Overall, it was a great experience stopping by!

You can also ask them to hold onto bigger items here to pick up later (had a friend do that for a particularly large snow globe), so keep that in mind. It's located as you walk down Hollywood Land and you can't miss it since the sign has all of the classic animated characters literally coming off of the page. You can watch artist doe their live sketching here as well. Friend also really liked that you can get Precious Moments Disney figures here (when we visited) and of course, the Thomas Kincade Disney artwork. Many of the prints come in various sizes as well and it's neat to rifle through the metal sliding curtain thing to view them. You'll see it as the official retail stop at the exit of Mickey & Minnie's Runaway Railway ride. The stored opened in March 2023 as part of the reimagined Toontown area. This is one of my favorite shops in Disneyland. There is a real model train running above guest's heads inside the shop. The floor designs are themed from toy train tracks. The interior features classic Mickey Mouse cartoons and even incorporating railroad décor. Looking through the merchandise, this is one of the few shops that I consistently see the Disneyland 70th year Magic Key interactive toy in stock. The store also has apparel, accessories, toys, ear hats, mugs, ornaments and more. Many of the items feature Mickey and Minnie! There is even a remote controlled roadster toy car inspired by the Runaway Railway attraction! You can use the Merchandise Mobile checkout via the Disneyland mobile application at this store. Magic Key discounts are also accepted! I ended up getting the holiday Disneyland sweater from EngineEar Souvenirs!

This is a store you can easily miss if you're going straight for the theme park rides first. It's located inside Cars Land at Disney's California Adventure. The store feels like it's a part of Route 66. The moment you step inside, the store, you'll see a wide range of roadside souvenir stands that the residents of Radiator Springs would stop by. The weathered signage, mismatched shelves, and cozy layout is such an amazing theme for the store. The merchandise is heavily themed from the Cars universe. You'll see Lightning McQueen and Mater front and center at the store, but there is also retro inspired apparel, pins, toys and collectibles that are themed from the mid century Americana. It's such a fun store! You can see all of the small details that Disney designed within the store since the shops props and décor reference the movies. The shopping experience seamlessly blends in with the Cars themed movies. You could easily spend 30 minutes inside this shop, looking at all of the apparel and merchandise. My family and I spent a lot of time looking at the pins. It was great to look at all of the displays! The cast members at this location are fantastic!

The theming is excellent, right down to the details, and it makes browsing genuinely enjoyable even if you are just passing through. It's a fun place to take a quick look around, soak in the atmosphere, and maybe spot a souvenir that feels perfectly at home in Radiator Springs.

The gallery specializes in Disney themed artworks, prints, collectibles, housewares, accessories and more. You can browse through framed pieces, posters, mugs, and other merchandise that blends classic Disney magic with art. The gallery also features a drawing station where sketch artists create custom hand drawn art right before your eyes! When my family and I came in on a Friday evening after California Adventure, the Gallery was busy! We saw the large unique Collectible Magic Key! It was cool, but expensive. You could easily spend an hour here looking at all of the Disney art pieces. Over the years, the Wonderground Gallery has celebrated a variety of art styles and periodically hosted meet and greet and even signing events with featured artists! Recently the gallery was refurbished in 2024. Parts of the offerings were moved over to other Disney stores like the Disney Home store. If you're visiting Downtown Disney, I'd highly recommend checking out the Wonderground Gallery. Before taking pictures of the gallery, we did ask a cast member if it was okay, and we were informed it was good to take pictures inside the Art Gallery! My family and I enjoyed our time here. Discounts are accepted at the Wonderground Gallery which includes the Magic Key Holder Discounts, the Disney Vacation Club discounts, and the Disney Visa Cardmember perks.
