Charlie, the dispatcher, was rude and coerced me into leaving a positive review for their third party service thru State Farm. I put in my road side assistance request around 6:20 and quickly realized they wouldn't be able to make it to a tire shop to replace my flat tire before they closed. So I called the number provided to me to see if it could be towed to another location or if they had a compressor to air up my tire so I could figure it out in the morning. That's when I spoke with Charlie first, he made it sound as if he was a driver hinself - suggested they would just help me in the morning if I left them a 10/10 review and marked the service completed. This is coercive. He says he'll text me a confirmation of all this assures me someone will help in the morning. 20 min later I get a call from their driver Jay and I wait around for him he says he has a compressor to try to air my tire. Also mentions he doesn't know who Charlie was. This confuses me bc I was told we'd handle it in them morning. I call the first number back and he's even rude than the first time - cutting me off, being extremely condescending - i find out Charlie is the dispatcher actually. Jay was nice but unprofessional. Flirty, called me trying to use me a a therapist telling me how bad his day was and that he was gonna be really late getting to me (he's texting and calling me at 10-10:30pm at this point) and that he got water in his gas tank and all this other stuff I didn't need to know. Then when I text to try to get it all done this AM I find out I need to contact my insurance to change the drop off location. She is appalled when I relay my experience and urges me to use a different service. Canceled the original claim. I would not use this service unless there was literally no other option at all. 9-25-24 My sons car needed towing. I dreaded seeing my insurance company informing the it was Seaside Towing after the last debacle they did to me. Today I got a call from Michael with Seaside. Much more pleasant and informing me he was 20 minutes away. Michael did arrive on time and towed my sons car without any issues. Who calls the customer at home to yell at them the next day for an honest review with Ford?!?! These guys are scary! This company was dispatched through my Ford pass app. The original estimation to pick up my car from the parking lot where I was stranded was between 30 and 45 minutes. When the app said they would arrive shortly I got a notice that they would be an additional 90 minutes. When I called the number provided the phone was rudely answered with "who are you?" I said my name and they said they would call me back and hung up on me. Extraordinarily rude and he never called back. They finally showed up 2 1/2 hours after the original call. The driver, although very nice, did not know how to get my car into neutral or put it on the bed of the tow truck. He and my son watched YouTube videos for over an hour to figure out how to tow my car. After they finally got the car on the truck, the driver gave my son a hug and said thank you for the help. Ford sent me an auto survey which I answered honestly saying that the driver was very nice but not trained well and the person at the end of the phone was rude and they took way too long to get to my car. The next morning, an unknown number called my phone THREE times so I decided to call it back. It was the gentleman from seaside towing, and he simply began yelling at me telling me that my insurance gave me the wrong number and I gave a bad review to an innocent company, and I cost a man to be suspended and now he can't feed his children. He would not stop yelling at me and did not give me a chance to say anything at all. I told him he was wrong about what he was saying but he continued to be verbally abusive. I finally called him an asshole and hung up. It was extremely upsetting. I then looked up the number and called Seaside, hoping to talk to someone else. The same man answered the phone, only this time he pretended to be an answering machine. He spoke like a robot and asked what I wanted. I told him I wanted to professionally let him know what happened, he was then quiet while I explained the events of the night and emphasized that the driver was nice but not trained and rude customer service and incompetence is why I left the review with Ford. Again, like a robot, acting like he was just a machine, he said "Carmelo Cervelo would contact me within 24 hours." And hung up. SO WEIRD! Beware of this company. Tow truck driver that assisted us claimed our spare would not fit our trailer, offered to take husband to Walmart for a new tire. While he was gone Carmel Ceravolo called to inform me that there would be an additional charge for extra service provided. In the discussion on how payment was to be made, he became rude and condescending while claiming to be a Christian company. After we made it home, we discovered that the spare would indeed have fit. So either the tow driver didn't know his own job or we got taken for $200. We called the company twice (both times Mr. Ceravolo was rude), sent 3 emails and even had our insurance company call for a receipt. We never received one. Seaside Towing Sucks! Been dealing with them all day somce 11 am. My car was supposed to be picked up latest 1:30 pm today and it was non stop excuses all day to the extent I was sent a fake screen shot by Cody who at one time said he was the owner and when I finally went off by the end of the day he said he was just a dispatcher, by the screenshot my car was picked up which would of been 4:30 or so and friends that live in the neighborhood were at my car at 5:42 pm with no tow in sight. Finally at 6:15 my roadside assistance said they just got a picture of it being picked up. Why they lied all day and kept coming up with excuses makes no sense. Wasted my whole Sunday and delayed my tire repairs as this started at 11 am! Would never recommend and filed a complaint with Am Fam Roadside with all documentation. I have never been spoken too so rudely by someone I have never met or even talked too before as I was by the owner of this company. I had a tow scheduled through a third party and they gave me the company name and a phone number. How was I supposed to know it was his cell phone?? The app said the tow had arrived and it wasn't here. I waited 25 minutes before calling the number they gave me. The first two times I called the number there was no answer and no voicemail, it was a weird automatic response that sounded like the number wasn't working. I tried a third time and the guy that answered chewed me out for calling three times in a row because he was "on the phone with the police getting accident information and he couldn't even write down the info because I was interrupting his call" WELL HOW THE HECK WAS I SUPPOSED TO KNOW??? How about don't use your cell phone as your business phone number if you don't want your calls to be interrupted?? And you very easily could have answered and said "Hello, I am very sorry, but I am on the phone with the police and cannot talk right now but will call you back as soon as I am able"... that would have actually taken less energy than you MAN-SPLAINING why a customer shouldn't call your phone three times in a row.... Do you want to know my favorite quality in a towing company? It's quite simple, really, and easy to achieve: they tow my car. Alas, Seaside Towing somehow failed in that task. The one task they literally exist to perform. After being told a tow truck would take approximately two hours, one finally showed up.. with a car already on the bed. "So sorry, ma'am! Please give us your keys and then leave your car on the side of this highway. Trust that it will not be damaged while abandoned and we'll be sure to get to it asap! Also, we have a 'no passenger' policy so I'm afraid I'll have to leave you stranded here on the road, where you have been waiting the past two hours for me to arrive." [Loose paraphrase, in case it wasn't obvious, but unfortunately real circumstances]. To add insult to injury, an employee on the phone then explained how it was actually my fault for not being more willing to work with him and that he tried so hard to help me. He can only do so much, you know. Expecting a car to be towed and its driver not left stranded on the side of the highway is simply setting up a towing company for failure. Please do yourself a favor and avoid this company. And if your insurance tries to allocate their services to you, advocate for yourself and demand a company with actual competence and customer service. You deserve more than waiting hours for a service you were promised, only to be denied it and then blamed for being the problem because you were uncomfortable with accepting less than what you paid for. read more

I will agree with the overwhelming majority of these reviews! If they had a negative star review system I'd use it. The absolutely worst customer service I have every experienced. The short summary is that they were rude, abrasive, incompetent, and unprofessional. I was assigned this provider through USAA and have filed a report with USAA. I advise anyone who got assigned through USAA to do the same so that they will stop using this horrible company. For more details read below My car died in a residential area with a gate code so I called in to provide the gate code for their convenience. When the phone picked up there was silence on the other end for about 6-7 seconds to the point I thought the call had dropped and then someone said "Hello?" In an aggressive and short tempered way. I then said my name and started saying why I was calling when I was cut off by the operator saying "one second" in the same short gruff manner. So I waited for about 3 minutes with just static and then decided to call back since it had been longer than a brief hold should be and I had not been given any information on why I was holding. When I called back the second time it rang three times and then was hung up on. The third time I called the same provider answered and said "look, I told you to hold because we are dealing with a call from law enforcement enforcement and we need to get the information from them so we can clean up the Highway but you've called back 5 times now" (again, this was only the third time I'd called) "and and we can't hear them with you constantly beeping in, I told you all of that and you keep calling, hold and we'll call you back soon" I said I'd be happy to hold and that was no problem (which if I'd been told any of that the first time instead of just "one second" I wouldn't have called back in the first place). A few minutes later he finally picked up the phone and said "ok, what do you want" and I told him that I was calling in to provide them a gate code but that they had never told me to hold so that's why I'd called back. He then said "you called us 5 times and I told you to hold and you refused to and we record all of our calls and I can look back and it shows that I told you to hold and you kept calling back." At which point I said I would like to receive a copy of that recording since if things kept continuing in this manner after I was done with them I would be calling USAA to discuss the costumer service I had received. He then said "If that's the case then I can just leave you on the side of the road all day if you are going to threaten us with a bad review." I told him every review on Yelp was a 1 star review and this was a pattern of unprofessionalism that he needed to address. He then went on a rant saying that all the bad reviews were because people didn't understand the wait time (not true, they all reference the same rude and abrupt mannerisms displayed by this operator) , and that there were tons of people who loved their service and I better get used to it because they were the main towing company that USAA uses in the area and then went on to insult my manhood (), say a few other insulting things and then threaten me again with canceling the request if I was going to complain about their service. I hung up, and USAA called me because he had marked my vehicle as unfindable and they wanted to make sure I still needed assistance. I told them the whole story and they quickly assigned me a new provider Splash towing which as I am writing this review has already called me to make sure I am ok and to give me an accurate time estimate for their pick up of my vehicle. I don't usually leave such long reviews and I definitely don't usually try to be a negative or entitled person but when a service is as bad as what I just dealt with I feel it is my duty to try and keep others from experiencing the same thing I did. When my insurance called to check status, they just let it ring. The worst thing is they marked the ticket as completed so it took forever to get another tow service on the way. Just to start off... I read the other reviews before we called but I was desperate to get a tow because AAA was taking too long (3 hours of waiting) and I was in the middle of traffic having a meltdown. My car could not be moved at all despite 10 passerby's trying to help us move it. Paying in advance wasn't ideal to me, but I was desperate and the man who answered said he could get a driver to me in 15 minutes or less. So I took the leap of faith. I'm glad I did. After payment, Driver Josh showed up 10 minutes later and he was absolutely PERFECT in every way. Josh took such great care of my SUV that could not even be put into neutral to move it. Even though he had to drag it onto the truck, he assured me the entire time he would make sure my 2021 Tahoe was well taken care of. And he delivered on that promise. He was super informative, very polite and delivered the best customer service you can ask for in a stressful situation. He even got the SUV back off the tow truck so gracefully in a parking spot at the dealership , you would never even know that it couldn't roll in neutral. One of your trucks is currently in Georgia. I was on the highway behind the truck and tried to get around because it was in the fast lane driving slowly. I flashed my brights at the truck and the driver quickly brake-checked me. When I finally got around the truck, the driver started driving very close to me as if he was going to hit me. He then rolled up right next to me to ensure I couldn't get over to the other lane. We exited on the same exit. When I was stopped at a stoplight, the driver rolled down his window and started cursing at me and calling me names. His language was deplorable! I wouldn't want someone in my business acting the way this driver did. He is reckless on the highway, and he yells expletives at people. I go to the Ft. This place quite literally extorted me. I was threatened to have my car impounded on my way to the shop if I didn't pay a "Uber charge" not even the driver knew about it. The owner was yelling and swearing at the driver and then at me with the exact same tome and threats. He then called me more than a month later on his personal phone saying he had my information, including my IP address saying I needed to pay. I am Active duty navy with USAA. Well, Seaside Towing is holding strong with their 1 STAR REVIEW. Thought I'd come help them out and keep the trend going in 2022! We are longtime locals who's daughter flew into town for a surprise visit. We made a decision to take her to the Harbor. Well, my husband accidentally locked the keys in the truck! I logged onto USAA to have them send a company out to unlock the vehicle for us. They dispatched this company....I realized that I put my information in for the contact information with USAA. My husband was the one who would be waiting with the vehicle when the company arrived so I thought I should probably call the company and let them know my husband would be waiting with the vehicle, not me. When I called I got a busy tone, and I feel like when you get a busy tone you typically call back until someone answers or you get a voicemail. I called back TWICE!! Seems reasonable! The man that answered the phone didn't seem to think so! Antonio Hughes is who answered the phone and seemed to be completely inconvenienced by my phone call to simply let them know that someone else would be waiting with the vehicle which I thought was pretty kind of me. When he answered, he didn't say hello, he didn't identify who the company was...He immediately verbally attacked me with his snarky and nasty tone! I was completely floored by what was coming out of his mouth. I hope he doesn't have a wife or children that he talks so disrespectfully to. When he was done running his disrespectful mouth, I couldn't even process words to come out of my mouth fast enough to respond. He then said HELLO!! I responded with how rude he is and why I was calling. Apparently my 2 calls were too overwhelming for him to deal with. He then hung up on me. They arrived 15 minutes after my call, they were kind and respectful and worth every bit of $100! YES I would rather pay this company $100 than have a disgrace of a company come out free of charge due to insurance coverage. It took 98 Locksmith a total of 22 minutes from the time I called to initiate the service, to the time we completed payment and they drove away. Seaside Towing was pushing 2 hours....Needless to say I would NEVER EVER recommend this company to ANYONE! I would Give them NEGATIVE stars if I could! I will be contacting USAA first thing tomorrow morning, to ensure this company did not request payment. Was told that I could pay "a little extra out of pocket" and a truck could be there in 10 minutes. Otherwise, I could wait all day. When I told them I got another tow company on the way that would be there soon, they got very irate, demanding to know how much I was paying the other company. He was upset that I could have just payed him that much extra, and he would have been right there. I called my insurance company to have my car towed approximately ten miles on a Saturday afternoon around 2 to a pep boys for tire repair. As I write this review on Tuesday my car is still not at pep boys.They lied and said that pep boys was closed. Pep boys did not close until 7pm- they had five hours to tow it ten miles. I believe they are trying to get storage fees. They also lied to my insurance company about the location of my car, also to illegally obtain money. They told my insurance company that they had to pull my car out of a ditch, which could not be further from the truth. My car was on the side of the highway. They were assigned by USAA to accomplish the tire change and the response time was supposed to be roughly two hours. Three hours later, still no tow company. Called the provided number and was advised the driver was stuck at another job. Okay, no problem as stuff happens. Provided another updated time of an hour. An hour and a half goes by with still no update or tow company. Call the tow company to try and get a new update and am greeted by the person on the other end chewing my butt for no apparent reason. The person I spoke to was the most unprofessional and disrespectful individual I have ever had to deal with. This person was pissed off for no apparent reason and I couldn't understand the reason for the hostility. I would not ever recommend this company and I've advised USAA that they should not use this company in the future.
