There is plenty of dirt parking spaces and several handicap spaces right up front. We have come here for many years and it never disappoints! You'll be warmly welcomed at the entrance where you can register to be sent a discount and US mailed reminder for next year's tree. There is Christmas music playing as you go get your tree cart and saw. Yes, I said saw, you get to cut down your very own tree that you picked out. There are many trees of all sizes which have all been nicely manicured. The pine scent in the area is so wonderful especially when you cut yours down! We usually look for a 6-7 foot tree with a tapered design with a wide bottom to a narrow top and a straight trunk which is the look of most of the trees. Their trees vary in prices and I believe they run approximately $13 per foot. Before you head out to pick out your tree you can visit and take your photos with an awesome Santa, props of snowman and gingerbread men with a cutout space for your smiling face. Then you can mosey over to the vendors and dessert food trucks with yummy treats. The farm has free popcorn and coffee and you can purchase a hot chocolate with marshmallows on top! Now you are primed and ready to get your tree so you take your tree cart and saw and head out. Now if you are not able or interested in cutting your tree down there many helpers around that can do it for you. I enjoy watching my grandkids help us pick out that perfect tree and take turns sawing it down. We load the tree on our cart and head back to pay for our beautiful tree. For a small fee there is also tree shakers to get those dead pine needles out and netting to protect your tree on your trip home. If you'd like there are many helpers around to help load your tree up and secure it. If you're interested in a happy place to bring your family and start an annual tradition Sand Haven Pines is the perfect place.

Overall, I have been going to the Harvest Festival every year or every other year for many years. Perhaps throughout the past few years, people have heard/read through word of mouth that this event wasn't as good anymore, so less and less have come. I still like it! The amount of vendors this time was the least I've ever seen unfortunately, so I can walk through the whole thing in about 45-60 minutes and that's if I stop to buy a few things, so probably 30-40 minutes just walking straight through. The friendliness of the vendors was better than last time but then again, there weren't that many other attendees at the time I was there, so they might focus a bit more on me while I passed by or stopped at the booths. There's always those who will never converse with you or try to tell you about their products. Overall, I like the Harvest Festival and seeing people's creations and tasty goodies! I bought from 7 vendors.
