Surrounded by nature, with fresh mountain air and birds singing, it's the kind of place that makes you slow down and enjoy the outdoors. We visited in December, so it wasn't peak season and not everything was open, but we still had a great time. Even with fewer attractions available, it was fun just being there walking around, taking in the scenery, and enjoying the quiet, outdoorsy atmosphere. It's a lovely place to visit, especially if you appreciate nature and simple pleasures. Even in the off-season, Oak Tree Mountain was enjoyable, and I can only imagine how charming it must be during peak season.

More importantly, we laughed and had a great time. When we arrived early in the morning, the temperature was 35 degrees and overcast. If you plan to visit here anytime soon, BRING a jacket as you WILL feel the chill the second you open your car door. It was pretty chilly, but it felt GREAT as the air was crisp and fresh. I read the many negative Yelp reviews regarding an additional fee to visit the upper area. Thank goodness they were not charging during our visit, as we would have done exactly what many other visitors did before us and left. The small shops were lovely to visit, as all the items sold are handmade and, surprisingly, very affordable. One shop was offering 50% off EVERYTHING, so my family and friends definitely took advantage of the savings. This is a fun place to visit and to get away from it all for a few hours, as long as they do not charge visitors any additional fees, including parking, which, during our visit, was free. Thank goodness for anything free nowadays.

Parking was free and if you get there early, you get some close parking as well. Price of admission is really good, staff was friendly and professional. Restrooms are decent but they are not permanent(rental type restrooms). Besides being a seasonal pumpkin patch/ sunflower farm, they also have a small food fair with many options for fair food and drinks and some games for kids. Definitely recommend this place for everyone during the fall! Can't wait to go back.

INCREDIBLY RUDE STAFF!!…read more I grew up coming here and have gone almost every year at Christmas time, however, I no longer go during pumpkin season because it's way too crowded. I decided to take my niece and nephew to ice skate since the price seemed fair and they had a buy one get one free wristband deal. When you buy your tickets and wristband, they don't tell you the process of getting separate tickets for picking up your skates inside the tent, so I went up to the ice-skating tent and joined the long line coming out of it. The person going through the line checking if the waivers were completed was friendly and told me that I needed to go grab tickets from inside the tent so I could get our ice skates once we reached the front of the line. I told my niece and nephew to continue waiting in that line while I ran inside to grab the tickets. The woman I interacted with at the booth was incredibly rude and just seemed miserable, she wore glasses and had blonde hair in a ponytail but I didn't catch her name. I let her know that we already checked in with the waiver person outside, and that she had told me to come in to grab our tickets since we already had our hands stamped and the waiver checked. This ticket woman proceeded to scan my card because I was just there for ice-skating ( I didn't get a wristband, just 10 tickets to skate) while my niece and nephew had wristbands. She proceeded to scan my card and said there were only 10 tickets available and that I needed 30, when I then reminded her that I was only using tickets for myself and my niece and nephew had wristbands which included ice-skating. She then very rudely told me to go back outside and get tickets from the person checking the waivers in line because she needed to see the people wearing the wristbands. I understand because I know there are probably dishonest people that try to get in for free, but when one employee tells me I can just run in to grab the tickets I don't know why another employee refuses to do that and is extremely disrespectful in the process . I then went back outside to the original person who then only gave me tickets for the kids and then told me to go back inside to get the ticket for myself. Just a few minutes after I tried to get the tickets the first time, I went back inside and was helped by a different girl. She proceeded to scan my ticket card and said it was empty and I didn't have enough tickets to ice skate. I told her the woman next to her just scanned it a couple minutes ago and I'm assuming it took the tickets off the card, so it was now showing it was empty. She then looked to the other woman (the one with a ponytail who was very rude the first time) and asked if she had remembered scanning my card, and the woman in a snarky voice said "I don't remember! I have seen over 600 ice skaters today!" This new girl who was helping me reluctantly gave me my ticket and she seemed hesitant to give it to me as if I was trying to get in for free. I stated I was in there at the most 2 minutes before and i didn't understand how the other woman couldn't remember our interaction. This whole process was so unorganized and the ice-skating rink was crammed full of people. I only went around once with my nephew when we decided to just go on some rides instead. Though this place looks fun on the outside, the process of getting tickets and getting inside for ice skating took well over 45 minutes when it didn't need to be this complicated. They could also do this with a smile on their face because kindness is free. I understand it is stressful working with crowds but when someone is rude for no reason at all, it just kind of ruins the whole experience. If they know that you're there to ice skate I feel they should give you the tickets to get your skates when you are buying your wristband or ticket in the first place. The people who were running the rides were amazing and very friendly. I just wish those who were helping with the ice-skating had the same attitude!! Minus the girl outside the tent, she was nice and I felt she was a bit frustrated with the process as well.

The Soudough shop was Amaxing. We got the fresh cheddar and jakapeno sourdough bread. Dipped with their farm made balsamic blackberry vinegar and olive oil. So crispy on top and soft dough inside. The matcha room was so good especially the jasmine tea macha and bnb matcha latte. Pizza the sourdough crust with urugula, goat cheese ,figs . Wow . Live music was so enjoyable. The Monark band performed well. Chandelier hanging all over the trees . The cafe and food stands were all open and so many to choose from. Sourdough donuts, burgers, fried with lavender solo. The Good: Parking Logistics: The parking lot has been moved closer to the flower fields this year, which is a massive upgrade in convenience compared to previous years. The Atmosphere & Maze: The farm decorations are beautiful, especially the purple cloths hung between the rows of large trees that catch the wind. Our kids also thoroughly enjoyed the Lavender Pallet Maze. It features a fun True/False lavender trivia game inside that kept our son engaged enough to want to do it twice. The Petting Zoo: The animals were quite active (bunnies, a Polish chicken, goats, and a very soft alpaca). It's a nice stop for kids, though parents of timid children should watch out as the little goats can be a bit pushy! The Disappointing: Over-Commercialization: There are massive lighting setups in the flower fields now. It feels like there is too much human intervention, and the lavender didn't look as healthy or vibrant as it did during our first visit. Additionally, most of the fields were already harvested and cut flat. I don't think there will be much of bloom later in the month. Food & Pricing Downgrades: We ordered the Lavender Smash Burger and Lavender Carne Asada Fries. The burger patty was overly salty and the fries lacked crispiness. Two years ago, the specialty drinks (Strawberry Lavender Lemonade and Iced Tea) came with a fresh sprig of lavender. This year, there was no garnish at all. The prices have gone up, but the experience feels stripped down. The "No Water" Policy: The farm is incredibly dry and dusty. Selling lemonade here must be an absolute goldmine because they do not provide water. When my husband went around to the stands to ask for water or extra ice cups, he was told no stand has water, and a cashier literally rolled her eyes at him. Word of advice: Bring plenty of your own water and leave it in the car! The "Free" Kids' Craft: The advertised free craft was a huge letdown. It was just basic coloring pages on postcards with zero staff guidance. The actual interactive crafts require an extra fee, which felt cheap considering the high price of admission. The nearby games were also poorly maintained--the foosball table was so old and broken that it used a ping-pong ball that the soccer men couldn't even hit. Tips for Parents: Check the daily schedule carefully before lounging around! We mistakenly thought crafts started in the evening, but weekend activities actually start at 1:00 PM. Overall, it's still a decent day trip for photos, but bring your own hydration, manage your expectations on the food, and be prepared for a very commercialized experience.
