We were so happy with SIS who catered for our wedding back in Sept 2021 at Pickering Barn. Everything went smoothly and we would recommend them! The staff: we coordinated with Ben, Catharine, and Pedro who were all responsive, professional, and helpful with answering our questions and helping us through the process. It was also very clearly distinguished what the customer vs caterer vs venue was responsible for which was so appreciated. The food: we were very impressed with the menu offerings, quality of food, and the amount of food provided! We had appetizers plus a stationary grazing table. For dinner we did buffet style with plenty of options for our guests that accommodated different dietary preferences. It also came with beverage service. Everything was delicious and our guests enjoyed everything as well. Service/other: what was nice was SIS contracts with a rental/linen company so we got our dish ware, glass ware, linens etc through them (SIS coordinated). They also provided servers and bartenders so they took care of everything from set up to tear down. Staff were a pleasure to work with! Only hiccup was day-of the wedding they were short a couple table cloths which was not a big deal. They catered her wedding a year before ours, and I was able to get a first taste then, and many more later (we attended a few of their tastings). During our roughly one-year long engagement, my now-husband and I went to MANY catering open houses and tastings. Seasoned in Seattle's food beat the competitors every time. We loved the food so much that we had them cover our rehearsal dinner as well--for which we used their drop-off/delivery option. Communicating with Andy was always incredibly easy and he was always very thorough and understanding. He even answered a lot of my mom's questions in person at one of the events, which put her at ease. AMAZING!!!! First off, Andy is amazing to work with. He answered all of our questions quickly and easily and never seemed to be bothered. When it came time to pay for their services, it was easy to get a hold of him (even though he was busy!) and he even let us make changes right up to a few days before the wedding. Second, the event lead who was in charge of our actual event was wonderful. She made sure that we got some of the passed hors d'ouerves down to us where we were taking post-ceremony photos. She also left us some hors d'ouerves on our head table for while we were dancing. I had some issue with the timing and had to postpone the champange toasts as some people were taking a while to get their food and sit and eat. When I talked to her about it, she was very easy going and waited until the minute I said we were ready. Awesome! Third, the bartender was really good about making sure everybody had enough to drink. Our wedding theme was "international" and we requested only international beers. Well, the beers we requested had run out, but in its place they put only more selection of international flavors. For me, that was really awesome that in the midst of the event they remembered all of our even smallest requests! Fourth, the food was fantastic!!! We had their Greek Menu, and I tell you if you want to get your guests to say they had awesome food, serve the greek menu!! All we received were compliments all day, and even days after!!!! We looked at several other caterers and Seasoned in Seattle was the best value. The evening went perfectly! Our guests raved about the food, the service was seamless and almost invisible. Everything was beautifully displayed. We had a dessert buffet, friends brought home baked goods. The new cafe is the good hangout for breakfast and lunch. Good place to get coffee and study. Very quiet environment. Friendly staff. Good customer service. Spaces are limited for parking. Recommend getting the cup of soup and sandwich combo. The smoked salmon chowder that has salmon, potatoes, onions and seasoning is perfect for those cold days. We've been to a lot of weddings where the food was very "blah." Just your static, standard wedding fare of green beans, mashed potatoes, and roast beef. That is NOT what we wanted and so we sought out a wedding caterer that could create a unique, fun menu for us that our guests would rave about. That is EXACTLY what we got with Seasoned In Seattle. We fell in love with Andy Celli from the start and decided to hire him based on personality, well before ever tasting his food. When we went to their open house about a month later, we knew we had made the right choice - the food was amazing. Andy did a spectacular job throughout the process and gave us great advice about building a menu, budgeting, guest count, and so much more (we went with a Mediterranean theme, by the way). He was even able to incorporate food for a handful of our guests who were either vegetarian or had allergies. He's been doing this a long time, and it shows. Andy's personal touch was all over our wedding and we can't even remember how many comments we received about the delicious food (and still continue to receive). Another great thing about Seasoned In Seattle is that they provided all the dishware and utensils, so clean-up after the reception was a snap, which was very important to us as our reception was hosted at a private residence. We went with the Ho-Down BBQ meal and beer/wine beverage service for all 120 of our guests and couldn't have been happier. They worked with the venue we chose, The Rainier Chapter House in Capitol Hill, and it all went seamlessly. Both my parents have Celiac disease, and it was no problem accommodating them. First off, my review is only for their cafe since I've never used their catering service. Second, the only reason I'm giving them four stars instead of five is because my sweet tooth wishes they had a larger pastry selection. But otherwise, I'm really happy there's a new cafe option in the area - and with good food too! (I should specify, I've only had their cinnamon roll and chocolate chip cookie, which were both delicious!) The employees (including one of the owners) were incredibly friendly and seemed to genuinely be excited about their work and the area. They arrived early for our backyard party, cheerfully lugged tables, chairs, glassware, food, etc. up four flights of stairs, had everything set up and ready to go, looking beautiful. Ben called to go over every detail, Chi did last minute flower arrangements, Gustafo braved the rain to man the bar, Selena was incredibly organized, and Minnie had a constant smile on her face. The woman in charge the day of the event was great -- she helped us know when to open the buffet, when to cut the cake, etc; she was very helpful. We ended up under budget ($2500 MAX) and blown away by the courteous, and friendly service and the incredible food. My fiance and I had a good feeling about Seasoned in Seattle after the consultation, so we took a leap of faith. A month later at the tasting, we carefully tried every dish and it was better than we imagined, we high fived on our way out the door. The actual WEDDING. We got compliments all evening on how great the food tasted, including from guests with dietary restrictions. We're going to be enjoying the food for the next week! PERSONALITY We met with Andy for our initial consultation, he offered great advice not only about the menu, but also recommendations on how to maximize space at our venue and other crucial veteran wedding tips. Seasoned in Seattle catered our Kirkland wedding this month. It was a solid experience; Andy responded to emails promptly and was able to work with us on a slightly customized menu that met our budget. We ended up going with a comfort food themed menu that included burgers, hot dogs, brats, beans, creamed corn, potato salad, fruit, and mac and cheese. The spicy beans were particularly excellent - we regretted not going back for seconds!! Luckily, all of our leftover food was packaged up and sent home with our families to enjoy again later. Many of our guests commented on how delicious the food tasted. We were also impressed with how friendly and efficient the bartender was; there was never a long line for drinks. Their entire staff were equally pleasant, and clean-up was efficient. The only negative was that Seasoned in Seattle doesn't provide its own grill (we were made aware of this before signing the contract, so at least it wasn't a surprise). When we finally thought we had communicated our needs properly, they came back and told us they were all full up for the month of our wedding (not the particular date, mind you, which was on a Monday, and not likely to have been booked already). Their secretary/assistant doesn't understand how e-mail works ("You know how those things get lost. My companion and I went for lunch at the cafe which is next door to their catering company at the corner of Orcas and Rainier Ave S. The buildings sit in an area that looks particularly bleak in winter which is accentuated by the drab green exterior of the cafe and catering buildings. There are black shades covering the windows also. All this drabness dissolves once inside;the cafe is decorated in a hodgepodge rec room kind of way with a wall full of posters of a Socal punk rock band called Social Distortion.Three tables and a long bar with comfy seats front the narrow serving / prep area. The cafe serves as a cafe / presentation arena for the catering company. There is a breakfast and lunch menu. We tried three items plus a soup:the French Dip, a Pulled Pork,and that day's special:Street Tacos (3), and a Smoked Salmon chowder. All tasted fantastic, no issues with taste! Service was a bit off kilter, not sure if the person was just new, or a pleasant combination of ditzy and calculated. We were offered,as was everyone else, samples from the catering side of yummy white chocolate mouse,-way too small samples- and way crazy not to sell this as a full fledged desert!Overheard talk of pulling the pulled pork sandwich from menu-No!
