Huge props to our event planner Naomi who really went above and beyond to plan our event. After coordinating all of the tables, chairs, linens, etc for an outside party weeks ahead of time we were totally blindsided and stressed out by a rain forecast! Naomi was so great and was able to elegantly pivot our plans to be inside at the last minute. The result was BETTER than what we originally planned and a little less expensive. Of course Gabby's team also cheffed up an amazing culinary experience for our 70 guests and the party was fantastic. Bravo! read more

We can't say enough wonderful things about working with Naomi and the Seasons team as well as how DELICIOUS all the food was! During and after our wedding, our guests raved about how delicious everything was from the specialty cocktails, apps, and dinner! Everything was perfectly timed, our guests were very well fed, and we were so incredibly happy with our decision to hire them. A few things that stood out! Naomi and the team were so helpful during the contracting and menu selection process, they were very communicative, responsive, and helped with recommendations. The menu tasting was so incredibly fun and fancy! We loved getting to try so many items and getting to tweak any dishes to our liking. Food was an incredibly important part of our wedding day. Both my husband and I are foodies and we have been to several friends weddings were food was just 'meh'. We couldn't have been happier with the food ourselves and loved that our guests were also so pleased with the food (had multiple guests ask about if we had the recipes for certain dishes that were served!!). We went with a bread and dill compote butter, delicious arugula salad, great steak and salmon mains, and a potato and pea/asparagus salad sides (see menu pic for details). When we first started planning our March 2020 wedding, one of our top priorities was to have great, memorable food. We decided to have a brunch buffet because it's our favorite meal and it's an opportunity to have a more fun menu. When inquiring in the area for our Santa Barbara wedding, Seasons not only had the most fun ideas, but they were so incredibly responsive to emails and accommodating from the very beginning. Our tasting was fantastic--they nailed what we wanted, with only a few minor adjustments necessary. In the two weeks leading up to our original wedding date, things began to change everywhere because of covid. Before the shutdown, Seasons was quick thinking and offered to bring on additional staff to serve our buffet. After the shutdown, they were so incredibly accommodating about helping us postpone our date, and they were on top of making sure we signed appropriate paperwork along the way. When our date in August 2021 began to look like it might happen, Renee sprang into action immediately. She came for our venue walkthrough (even though Seasons is on our venue's preferred vendor list) and was incredibly prepared to answer all our questions. She even showed up with a tape measure to check the dimensions for something! She also made sure we had all the rentals we needed. We changed a few vendors last minute and Seasons was professional, understanding, and very quick to pivot with the rest of our team. The day of was fantastic. The servers were friendly and attentive--they all greeted us congratulations which they certainly didn't have to but was a nice touch. The bar service was great, especially because we could taste how fresh the juices and purees were that they used for our mimosa bar! And of course the food itself was excellent. Guests raved about how fun, unique, and delicious the menu was, which was our main goal. Seasons Catering provided the food for my 70th birthday Winemaker's dinner at Magnavino Cellars. It was fantastic. The food was outstanding and the service was perfect. Gabrielle Moes the owner was the chef. Her food is beautifully presented and delicious. We had 20 people and they all commented on how good the food was. Ok where to start aside from WONDERFUL!? First things first - the food!! My gosh!! From the main courses to the sides and sauces, everything is spot on fresh and delish. Loved seeing our menu develop and grow into the perfect blend of custom dishes for our guests to savor. Next - the service. From the AMAZING Suzzi, to the incredibly talented Cheri, to superstar chef Gabrielle in the kitchen on the actual event (SO COOL!!!!), the team wowed our guests and made us feel so important. Seasons Catering has been delivering meals to me twice a week for the past few months during the pandemic. This is part of the Government program to feed seniors with The Agency on Aging. Seasons has been prompt on calling and delivering every time they have brought both me and numerous neighbors in my senior community, each a bag of delicious food. Get EVERYTHING in writing! My experience with Seasons Catering was awful. I got married at Firestone Vineyards, and had to choose from their list of caterers. If that wasn't the case I would've fired Seasons midway. Daisy was very friendly, generally a very kind person. She was very helpful, but when it came time for Gabby to follow through it turned into a very difficult situation. And I was over charged by $400. I signed a contract for a passed appetizer that was never served. Although I was promised she would, Gabby refused to drive up to the vineyard and do a walk through of the site because she knew it so well. Instead we had a conference call where we agreed that passed appetizers would come out of two locations so the guests were not hunting down the food. This did not happen, they only came from one location. Which created a poor flow of people and a crowd around the food. Also as I mentioned they were one appetizer short. We also agreed on the call that during the photo session which was at the same time as cocktail hour that the bridal party would have their own server with appetizers and cocktail. The staff went to the wrong location because of poor planning. Daisy also highly recommended a wedding cake baker that was in the same complex as Seasons and Seasons would be happy to transport the cake. One month before the wedding, the baker told me that I would have to transport the cake myself because Gabby didn't want the liability. I truly do understand that, however they should not have suggested it to me in the first place. The food was also prepared differently than the tasting menu. We had subtle adjustment that were not followed through with. We asked that the salmon to be more crusted, we also wanted our guests to be able to choose (ahead of time on the invitation) the temperature of their filet. Gabby was miffed about the filets because she said that people would just send something back if it wasn't cooked enough, which I though was a bad expectation to set. I did not give one star because the staff that night (besides Gabby) were very polite and the food was still good. But overall Gabby was very hard to deal with and the customer service for their high prices was horrible. Also I think they actively figure out how to start new yelp accounts as they have been is business a lot longer that 2012 and there were negative reviews when I hired them. read more

Seasons Catering was a delight to work with from our first inquiry. Although I'm in the wedding business as a photographer, I had no idea about choosing caterers or selecting a menu. They made everything easy from the moment we met with them. They listened, and made suggestions based upon our budget, guest count and the cuisine experience we wanted for ourselves and our guests. They created a menu that included passed hors d'oeuvres, salad, two entree choices, and dessert. We didn't change a thing to their menu. We are working people, so we didn't have a grand budget. (Champagne tastes, beer budget, you might say.) They agreed with our wedding planner that instead of a full bar, we should serve a specialty cocktail, wine and beer. This not only saved money on having all the alcohol at a full bar, but all the condiments, and different types of glassware we would have had to rent. The triple citrus vodka spritzer was refreshing and added just the right sparkle. We wanted to offer two entrees. Fish and Beef. They made a fantastic dish of mediterranean prawns with roasted peppers, braised greens, creamy polenta and french feta. Delicious! Since we were budget conscious, Seasons recommended using tri tip instead of filet mignon. They herb crusted the tri tip and served it with yukon gold mashed potatoes with haricot verts and a cognac peppercorn sauce. Out of this world. I photograph weddings and often see the bride and groom not finish their meals. Not only did Mike and Dana finish their meal, they had one of each entree! The tasting at their office was delightful and delicious. I couldn't help but think, easy to make it great for the 3 of us at the tasting, but I should probably lower my expectations a bit for feeding a whole wedding event. I couldn't have been more wrong. The food was delicious. Guests were commenting on how great the food and service were. Seasons Catering is an easy referral for me to give. read more

Last weekend we hosted an intimate, outdoor dinner party for 16 guests in all, during which we were married. I am blown away by Gabby and her team and the impeccable service. Gabby spent hours on the phone with me prior to the event understanding my vision and helping me bring it to life. The first, we had a casual buffet - the food was very good and the attendant was professional and nice. The second event was a sit-down 4 course plated dinner for 14 people in our home for my husband's 60th bday. Honestly, they could not have done a better job! The staff was superb. We used Seasons for my daughter's wedding. It was a challenging venue (on the beach), but they really came through! We worked with Kat throughout the planning process. She had great suggestions not only on the menu but on layout and making sure we had everything we needed. And she was delightful every time I spoke with her. She and her staff set up a full kitchen in our garage - it was the most amazing thing I've ever seen. She and the staff worked hard, and I couldn't have been happier with the results. When I saw one of the staff come all the way to the shore (at least 50 yards in the sand) to get cocktails to the bridal party I was impressed. And so many guests told me that they loved the food. I'm going to just call out the elephant in the room... Everyone remembers bad food at a wedding. Not sure why, but people just think wedding food is pretty but bland... NOT THE CASE WITH YOU! Honestly, and I realized this from communicating often with you all (not to mention the reviews and recommendations), every single person we talked to and asked LOVED the food. It was delicious! Every part! I need to brag... Your presentation: beautiful! Some moments come to mind: we sat at our honeymoon table to a beautiful appetizer display. What a warm touch after coming from our photoshoot! After the ceremony, we were approached by one of your staff with fresh drinks. So thoughtful. We were served at our table, poured champagne, and you managed to get me to eat my veggies... twice! The food was so good. I hate horseradish...Well, now hated*, because I'm all in now. The food, service & care that Gabrielle , Linda & Chris provided our family during a difficult time was beyond our expectations. We were so thankful for the level of service & compassion, as it provided our entire family the opportunity to participate in a wonderful celebration of life. So happy we chose Seasons Catering for our Wedding! From the first tasting to the day, they were very easy to work with. I consider myself a "foodie," so when I first met with them for my tasting I was ready to be picky but I wound up not changing a thing! Everything I tasted was beyond incredible! My stepdaughter wanted her wedding to be in Ojai, where I live ... and I agreed to be the local "planner" and organizer. NEVER done anything like this before! I chose Seasons because they use fresh local foods ... including organic produce grown right across the street from my home! I needed a lot of handholding because of my inexperience and just general ignorance, and I got it! Daisy, Charne and Cheri were calm, kind and very knowledgeable, and they made all the planning and decision-making very easy for me. Since the bride lives in L.A., her mom lives in Oregon, and her sister, the woman of honor, lives in New York, I really was pretty much coordinating everything, and from the horror stories I heard from the owner of the wedding venue, a lovely Ojai ranch, about other caterers who had botched weddings in the past, I apparently avoided a great deal of anguish by choosing Seasons! They were always helpful, gave me a lot of time and advice, and we had a truly divine event. Oh, and the food was spectacular, too! I particularly appreciated the great help with working out a rental contract for tables, chairs, tableware, etc. We needed two different bar setups and I would never have had the right gear available without Seasons' suggestions. We knew the food would be fabulous because the menu was well-thought-out and creative, and the samples at the tasting made it clear the food would be elegant and delicious. From the moment the setup crew arrived, until cleanup and good-byes, Seasons' crew was efficient, cheerful, professional and yet personal. They knew we were all kind of nervous, and they took care to treat us with great kindness. They were very calming. I trusted them completely, and was really able to relax and just be a wedding guest. They also work really hard to create a beautiful menu. On multiple occasions, they have gone above and beyond to customize recipes for my clients. One of our weddings together included an intense rainstorm (which never happens in July in Southern California). I was so impressed with how the entire staff handled the crazy logistical situation. We had Seasons cater our wedding in Oct. 2008. It's taken me awhile to review them because I was very disappointed and I wanted to make sure that anything I wrote was done with a clear mind. I was extremely happy with Seasons up until two months before our wedding. Our tasting was exceptional, I love the owner, etc. However, two months before our wedding, we informed Seasons that our guest list had dropped from 130 to 110. Since our contract was priced per person, I didn't think that this would be a big deal. Well, it was. They insisted that we pay the full price for 130 people. I began to look for other caterers, but everyone was booked at that time. It was worth losing our deposit because it was less than what it would cost us to pay for 20 nonexistent people at well around $200/pp! So we ended up paying over $4,000 extra for nothing. We really had no option except to pay for 130 people, even though only 110 were coming. I worked in the catering business in San Francisco at the time, so I knew that I had given them plenty of time to adjust pricing. I could understand if they wanted to keep that price if it were a couple of weeks before the wedding - but two months! Also, I was also fine paying the extra money if we would get something more - maybe a food station or something. Nope. Nothing. I was tempted to say that I still wanted 130 entrees, but I don't like to waste food. At the wedding: -Good: We had tea sandwiches and cucumber water during the family picture time before the ceremony. Everyone loved the food. -Bad: My husband and I did a little carriage ride around the Crossroads Estate after the ceremony to have a couple of minutes of alone time. We paid for a picnic basket to come with us. We ended up not eating anything out of the basket because we were so excited to get back to our guests. I think that they should have let us take that food with us after the reception. It would have been nice. -Good: The HDs were good and there were enough of them. -Bad: The pomme frittes that we LOVED at our tasting were not the ones served at the wedding. They turned more into hash browns. It was strange. We had cones made to have the fries passed in during dancing, so it was really weird that people had these hash browns in a cone. -Bad: Usually there is a waiter assigned to the bride and groom. At the beginning of the wedding, this was the case. There was a waitress who made sure that we sampled the different hors d'oevers during the cocktail hour. But that ended at dinner. So we NEVER got any of the after dinner treats - cookies, fries, etc. THE WORST THING: -We never got any cake. I looked around for someone to give me cake, and there wasn't anyone. I never got to taste my own wedding cake, except for the little bites my husband and I took at the cake cutting! -We had a very large cake, as it was the centerpiece of the reception. It was a cake for 200 people, even though there were only 110. We were supposed to get two tiers to take home with us. We never got ANY of our cake - not the top, nothing. I am still pretty upset that someone took half of a cake home with them! -Basically, we never got any of our wedding cake - not at the reception, not after the reception. We had a garden wedding in our home in May. Seasons Catering made it the "perfect wedding". Of course, the feedback from our guests was proof that outstanding, delicious food, served beautifully, is one of the most important aspects to make it a memorable experience. The hors d'oeuvres were imaginative and exquisite, the dinner was served hot and delicious (not so easy with salmon as one of the choices) and the desserts were "to die for". Guests actually tried to take some home! The chefs used our kitchen (not a chef's kitchen by any means), and miraculously produced this incredible dinner! Seasons catered my May 27, 2012 wedding in Montecito, and I have gotten so many compliments on the food it is hard to keep track! Our menu was delicious, and tailored to our fancy - we had wonderful appetizers, a salad, herb crusted tenderloin with shallots and horseradish, baked prawns with roasted peppers over creamy polenta, wild mushroom ravioli, and churros with chocolate mousse and popcorn for dessert! Daisy, Joie and the whole Seasons crew is outstanding! From our tasting all the way to the wedding day, Seasons made sure we were taken care of. My husband and I are vegetarian and vegan so we wanted a wedding that fit our style. The food is amazing and everyone kept telling coming up to us and telling us how it was the best food they've tasted (not just wedding food). They were great about providing vegan options for my husband and well as going out of the way for family members who have allergies. I have a young cousin with severe nut allergies and Seasons went out of there way to make her a special meal and label everything to let her know what she could and couldn't eat, as well as contact her mother to make sure of everything. My cousin was thrilled, and my husband and I were even more pleased that they were going out of there way to make sure all our guests were taken care of. Their presentation of the food was gorgeous (we seriously wished we were guests at our wedding :) ) , and the service was superb.
