The nursing team treated my father with dignity, kindness, and genuine concern, while the PT/OT staff were knowledgeable, patient, and truly invested in his progress. The social worker was invaluable--guiding our family through care planning and next steps with clarity and empathy. The facility was exceptionally clean, well maintained, and well organized, and communication with our family was excellent throughout. Entrusting a loved one's care is never easy, but Burgess Square earned our complete confidence. I would highly recommend this facility to anyone seeking exceptional rehabilitation and senior care.

Unfortunately, our experience was mixed. The overall atmosphere often felt depressing and unwelcoming. Getting answers from nursing staff was often frustrating, as it sometimes seemed like they did not want to be bothered or responded with an attitude. I also found some staff members to be be unfriendly and lacking in empathy. Families rely on clear communication and compassion when a loved one is in rehab, and we did not consistently experience that level of care. The physical therapy dept. was a bright spot in my mother's day, but this was after switching the physical therapist from Steve to Desiree. Desiree stood out for her compassion, kindness, and genuine concern for her patients. She treated my mother with dignity and encouragement and made a meaningful difference in her rehab experience. I am very grateful for the care and dedication she showed. I recognize that rehab facilities can be busy and understaffed, but I believe there is significant room for improvement in communication (a simple good morning when you see a family member), responsiveness, and patient-family interactions. Again I want to acknowledge the outstanding work of Desiree for the positive impact she had on my mother's care.

We bought him a bag of lollipops to suck on because the radiation he is on leaves his throat dry. The staff STOLE his lollipops. My mother ran down the hall to stop them and they told her they must have fallen out of his pocket. Well lo and behold they gave him back 4 of his 14 lollipops from the ambulance. Then, they left him in a soaking wet diaper. Then the air is broken in the room. It was so hot a Hershey bar was melting. My mother complained and she was told "the thermostat is broken how do you know the temp in the room"?? Also my father was done with his radiation. He gets oxygen so he can breathe. These people didn't hook the tube up to the oxygen tank so he could breathe. My mother had to go get the nurses quickly. The oxygen was just going through the room. Are you kidding me!? I'm furious af and I will be there today. Don't bother to respond to this email with your petty "call us" cus im coming in there today and I will not stand for this. Completely unacceptable. He's a vet from Vietnam that has worked hard his whole life and doesn't deserve this treatment. I will not stand for it.

We were assigned Emily as our case manager and she was great to work with. However, we interacted the most with Grace who was on-call at the time we engaged them and helped my Dad a good bit during his last couple of days. Grace was super patient with us when we asked lots of questions about his care and hospice in general. LifeChoice also provided a rabbi for us and I think my father really appreciated that the rabbi visited with him for over an hour. I think they provided my father a lot of peace and comfort during his final days. My only regret was not engaging them sooner. Their whole demeanor and attitude is that of angels, compassion, empathy, love..When he was in the hospital, he was not receiving the proper pain management, they kept delaying the hospitals hospice program while my dad was dying in pain. I was desperate to get him home. Alena, the administrator, moved mountains to make that happen. They got my dad home in less than 18 hours, they were by my father's bedside within two hours of me calling desperate for help, which felt like a miracle during such a difficult time. Daniel, the nurse who came to the hospital, was so attentive and caring such a such a genuine person. And once we were home, nurse Julie and nurse Grace took over and truly went above and beyond. They made sure the bed oxygen tanks supplies and meds was delivered before my dad even got home.They made sure my dad was comfortable, out of pain, and surrounded by dignity and respect--something he was not receiving in the hospital. there was also a Sweet CNA that came to help as well, Because of them, my dad was able to pass peacefully at home, just as he deserved. That means everything to me my father and our family. All of my father's friends and loyal family were able to come visit with him before he passed the next morning.. I highly recommend this hospice agency to anyone going through end-of-life care for a loved one--or even for themselves. Don't wait until the last minute. My daughter has had a wonderful experience at Little Steps. Her doctor identified a gross motor…read moredelay and referred us to physical therapy in 2020, and later assessments done by her school district identified a severe fine motor delay. We worked with Sarah at Little Steps to assess her and develop a treatment plan, and worked toward clearly identified gross motor milestones before progressing to occupational therapy. The therapists at Little Steps have even coordinated with her school district regarding her IEP. We have both really enjoyed working with the therapists at Little Steps and look forward to coming together each week. My daughter has made so much progress over the past year! PT and OT have improved all facets of her life--beyond improvements in motor skills, her behavior and attention have improved at home and in the classroom. She's more comfortable and has better endurance.
