I'm on day 100 of my Recovery from Cocaine Addiction and have a long way to go. I was wrong about Seasons in Malibu almost didn't go there, but I Did... and graduated. YOU WILL HAVE BAD DAYS THERE. I wanted to leave but my awesome Case Manager Helena Brown really cared and Dr. Ruben got me through some hard spots and Super Stoked I Stuck it out. Be True to your Values don't put up with shit but do the work and at some point between Hypnotherapy with Barbara Carey/Somatic Therapy with Lynda McCloskky and CranialSacral with the yoga lady Lisa Carmichael I had an Awakening that made me Fierce! I was no longer afraid of falling and found the path to Sophrosyne... a healthy state of mind characterized by self control, moderation and a deep awareness of one's true self resulting in Happiness. Aloha All... Seasons in Malibu is great if your heart is open to change. The cure is in the Pain.

I wanted to see my doctor but when I called the office they were charging $260 just to make an appt. I'm single and even though I have insurance I only have my income so I'm getting by on my own but can't afford expenses like that especially because I'm healthy and wouldn't need to see my doctor again for a year which then I'll have to pay $260 again. The staff were amazing and friendly. I did have to wait a little longer even though I was their first and only patient at that moment. Once the PA saw me I was done and out. They do ask for donations on the way out and was more than happy to donate some money and didn't feel forced to have to donate. The office was nice and kept - I will definitely be back when I'm due and they accepted my insurance.

While every member of the ICU staff treated my brother with compassion, professionalism, and dignity, I would like to especially thank nurses Eric, Randy, and Olga, ICU physician Dr. Kakal, social worker Heather, and the entire ICU team for the exceptional care they provided throughout his 44-day ICU stay. Each person brought something unique to our family's experience. Olga was a source of comfort and reassurance whenever I felt overwhelmed and needed guidance. Eric showed extraordinary patience and gentleness with my brother, even on the most difficult days. No matter how challenging the situation became, he treated him with kindness and respect. Randy had a special way of connecting with my brother and earning his trust. When my brother wasn't listening to the rest of us, Randy somehow always knew how to reach him. Heather, our social worker, helped guide our family through difficult decisions and conversations with compassion and professionalism. Her support during an incredibly challenging time was deeply appreciated. Beyond providing excellent medical care, these individuals supported our family through an incredibly difficult journey. They reminded us that healthcare is not just about medicine, it is also about humanity. I would also like to recognize the volunteers at the visitor check-in desk on the first floor. They were always welcoming when I arrived to visit my brother, and after his passing, they showed our family tremendous compassion and kindness that I will never forget. My experience in the ICU made me proud to be a UCLA alumna. I will always be grateful for the care, dignity, and respect shown to my brother and our family. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

I had an appointment I needed to cancel last minute and was told I could come in as a walk-in. I've visited other Planned Parenthood locations before and have never had issues with them accessing my information or accepting my Family PACT card. At this location, I was told they were not affiliated with other sites, so they couldn't pull up my records or use my coverage. I had left my card in another bag, but it has always been on file in the past and never caused an issue. This was surprising and frustrating since it has never been a problem elsewhere. On top of that, the front desk staff were not welcoming or helpful. The interaction felt cold and unnecessarily tense. Another patient ahead of me seemed to receive similar treatment, so it did not feel like an isolated incident. I understand that everyone has bad days, but this is a place that serves the community and people often come in feeling vulnerable. The way patients are treated at the front desk matters. Unfortunately, my experience felt dismissive and argumentative. When I tried to explain my insurance situation, the receptionist responded in a way that felt accusatory and diminishing rather than helpful. At a certain point, the interaction became uncomfortable enough that I decided to leave. I also expressed my concerns about the interaction and how it reflected on the organization. This experience did not reflect the level of care and respect I have come to expect from Planned Parenthood, and I hope this location can improve its approach to patient interactions.

The wait was about 45 minute to an hour but they told me that when I got there. But you definitely need an appointment, I overheard that the wait for walk-ins was much much longer. The office was very clean and nice, comfortable chairs and a very clean bathroom. When there wasn't many people in the waiting room someone came out and cleaned the chairs which I thought was really great. The front desk woman is kind of no BS, but I assume she has to be that way because of what she might have to deal with. To be honest she made me feel safe, because she was not f-Ing around! They lock the front door and you have to buzz and talk to the front desk before they let you in. So, overall I felt really safe! The nurse and doctor were great. I told the nurse and doctor I have ptsd and chronic pelvic pain and Pap smears have been really difficult for me in the past. She was so incredibly gentle, it was very literally the easiest, least painful pap I've ever had. Definitely will be going back for future paps!

Arrived 10 min early, check-in was super quick since I completed the online pre-registration form. This was my first time at Planned Parenthood, and first time getting an IUD. I was very nervous about pain, so I brought my boyfriend for support. He wasn't allowed in the exam room, so he waited in the lobby. From the moment I stepped in the door, to when I left, it took about 1 hour. The procedure itself only took 5 minutes, but there was a lot of talking with the nurse and waiting for the doctor to finish with another patient. The most amount of pain came from when the IUD was placed in my uterus, resulting in intense period-like cramps. They were over in 30 seconds though and I was able to walk out immediately after. I also asked for topical anesthetic for my cervix to help. There was a lot of cramping, some bleeding, when I got home, but ibuprofen helped and I was able to resume normal activities the next day. Procedure was 100% covered by my insurance, Anthem. I'll definitely be going back!

I had the incredible privilege of working with Dr. B, and it's time we revisited our journey. As I sat in the waiting room for an NST check, tears welled up in my eyes. It's hard to believe that we're about to welcome our baby soon. Our journey began here in 2023, after undergoing trigger shots and two unsuccessful IUI cycles. We ultimately made the difficult decision to pursue IVF. Despite the positive test results indicating that we were healthy on both ends, we held off on going all in with IVF. Even on my graduation day, Dr. B expressed that our case was unknown, as we would probably conceived naturally eventually . However, due to our age and the fact that we had been trying for almost three years after our wedding in 2021, we found this location that we had been praying for after years of prayer. On the day of the egg retrieval surgery, I was filled with panic and fear. But then, Dr. B walked into the surgery room and cracked a joke. "Ana, did you leave happy hour early last night?" he asked. Immediately, I couldn't help but smile and take a deep breath. He is the most incredible, amazing person we have ever met. He exudes an infectious positive energy and always made us feel completely confident that our miracle would happen. When he first read through our results, he exclaimed to my husband, "You're a Navy SEAL!" and to me, "Ana, you're a farm full of eggs!" It was the way he made us feel like everything would be okay. God bless you, Dr. B. You are truly one of a kind! When I think of exceptional and top-notch doctors, Dr. B is undoubtedly the MVP of fertility doctors. He is retiring on June 1st, 2026. Dr. B, I hope you find this post and understand the profound impact your career has had on many of us. I can never repay you for the incredible support and miracle that I am eagerly anticipating meeting here soon. Enjoy your retirement with the beautiful life mission accomplished that you were always destined for. You've made life-changing experiences for many, and we wish you continued health, happiness, and prosperity. God bless you forever. The Navas

Tingting and Catalina from FSAC are two of the most unprofessional, rude, and irresponsible people…read moreI have ever dealt with in a surrogacy journey. They take a portion of the service fee I paid for the surrogacy agency they referred me to, yet refuse to do the work they are paid for. When problems arise, they immediately deny involvement, push responsibility to the other company, and tell you to "go ask them instead and we are not involved" What follows is endless finger-pointing between companies, with no one taking accountability and no one willing to actually help. As an intended parent, when I faced serious issues during the surrogacy process, I had no one to raise my concerns to. Tingting and Catalina repeatedly told me they were "not involved," even though I was clearly told that: * They were paid a portion to manage me as a client * The other agency managed the surrogate * The service fee was split between the two companies for this exact reason When I confronted them with this, instead of addressing the issue professionally, they became hostile, blocked me, and threatened legal action, claiming I was not allowed to speak about my experience due to a contract clause. This behavior alone says everything about how they operate. What makes this even worse is the bullying and discriminatory attitude. If you are Chinese and do not speak fluent English, they treat you as if you know nothing and can be pushed around. I am a living example of how badly they treat clients they believe won't fight back. Their tone is dismissive, aggressive, and intimidating, and they show zero respect or empathy for intended parents going through an already emotionally exhausting process. From the very beginning of IVF all the way to delivery, this journey was extremely unpleasant, stressful, and traumatic, largely due to their behavior, attitude, and refusal to take responsibility. If you value transparency, accountability, and basic human decency, stay away from FSAC for IVF and surrogacy. No one should have to go through what I experienced.

Our experience, almost from start to finish, was amazing! We went to the ER and were taken in almost immediately. Testing and diagnosis happened rapidly, and my wife was treated quickly. We have been to ERs where we thought "is anyone paying attention?" It was not like that at all. The nurses were friendly, professional, and attentive. Most impressive of all was our doctor, Dr. Cynthia Pfieffer, whose genuine compassion and warm demeanor has us both considering establishing this hospital as our primary care facility.

Title: Disappointing ER Experience - Rude Doctor and Incomplete Care…read more"I brought my elderly mother (hard of hearing) to the ER at Providence Cedars-Sinai Tarzana Medical Center on March 22, 2026, due to blood in her stool. We were seen by Dr. Natalie T. Shum, MD. Unfortunately, the visit felt rushed and disrespectful. Dr. Shum was rude--she interrupted my mom mid-question (my mom was struggling to hear and speak up) and sharply told her to 'let me finish talking.' This made my mom feel dismissed and anxious. Despite the reason for visit being blood in stool (possible rectal issue), Dr. Shum did not perform a rectal exam or check the area as we expected for proper evaluation. When we brought a stool sample for culture (only a small amount needed per instructions), she refused it, and we had to go to another nurse instead--this felt inconsistent and unnecessary. Labs were done (including pending stool culture/pathogens), and she was discharged with viral gastroenteritis diagnosis and follow-up instructions, but the interaction left us feeling unheard and that care was substandard. Communication was poor, especially considering my mom's hearing issues--no accommodations were made. We expected more compassion and thoroughness from an ER, especially at a Cedars-Sinai affiliated facility. This experience was stressful and disappointing. I hope the hospital reviews staff interactions and exam protocols to prevent this for others."
