He has performed a total of seven dental implants for me, including rebuilding the jawbone under two of them because of significant bone loss due to extractions 25 years ago. Dr. Nguyen devoted a great deal of uninterrupted time to my treatment so that he could achieve the best possible results. He truly did an exceptional job. After leaving his office after the most recent implant, my face and jaw were not swollen, and I experienced no pain at all. The others caused only minor pain and swelling. In fact, I almost never had to take pain medication after any of the many procedures he performed on me. Our family has been seeing Dr. Nguyen for the past 23 years, and we have been extremely happy with his professional care. He is sincere, thorough, pleasant, and always helpful. I strongly recommend Dr. Nguyen to anyone who needs dental work, whether minor or major. Being able to have so much of the necessary work done in one office saves a great deal of time, money, and discomfort. Dr. Nguyen is one of the best dentists in the Bellevue/Seattle area, and we will continue to see him for as long as we can. To be fair, my anti-dental stand is rooted in trauma, pun intended, but there was no ego at Fresh Smile, just a genuine desire to help their patients and do good work. Go here, folks. Especially if you have any fears. I like that they still mask at this office. I got Covid in late 2025 and it was one of my worst experiences, so it felt good that this place is still minimizing transmission of all respiratory bugs through PPE and lots of HEPA air filtration. I felt safe going here which for me, is rare. I have NEVER had a dental workup like this. My first clue were the intake questions. I usually hate filling those forms, but these questions were intelligent and caring. Then, Dr. Prakash and Tula gathered extensive data on my mouth. X-ray equipment was top of the line and thorough, and the office has tools which created a 3d scan of my bite. This built a computer model of my teeth that can be used for appliance formation or to reference future changes. Cutting edge stuff. Although the past 5 years somewhat ravaged my mouth, I feel confident that this team will get me back to the best dental health I can achieve. The office is easily accessible on Capitol Hill. There is dedicated parking. Costs were reasonable, and Dr. Prakash showed a willingness to work with my finances which was great. If you need to find a kind, technically proficient, up to date dental office, you can't do better than Fresh Smile.

It only took me two visits to switch my whole family over to Dr. Chen to care for all of our dental needs. I am 66 years old and have seen plenty of dentists over the years but no one comes close to the care DR. Chen and his wife Joan provide. Dr. Chen provides painless anesthesia, meaning you will feel absolutely nothing whatsoever. Truly amazing. I have been experiencing server pain in the back of my head for over a week, and Dr. Chen recognized I was in a lot of pain unrelated to dental work. He took the time to ask questions, then provided me with medication that would provide me with pain relief. He is truly someone that cares about people. They say birds of a feather flock together and I, from firsthand experience, can tell you, everyone at this state-of-the-art facility is an experienced dental team like no other. The dentist, Dr. Bello, was professional, but my experience with the hygienist, Kelly, was extremely negative. At that time, I had just moved to the United States, did not speak English well, and naturally relied on my husband to communicate. Instead of showing understanding, Kelly made remarks suggesting that I was like a child depending on my husband. I found this deeply mocking and humiliating. During the cleaning, she smiled while inflicting pain on me, and it felt cruel and deliberate. As an Asian immigrant who couldn't speak English then, I felt that she treated me differently in a way she would not have treated other patients. That made the experience even more painful and isolating. I cannot confirm whether Kelly is still working there, but that experience left me with lasting trauma and a deep mistrust toward dental hygienists in America. In my opinion, no patient should ever be made to feel ridiculed or discriminated against because of language or cultural background.

She was good at taking X-rays quickly and painlessly. However, the problem became when Dr Foroutan starts doing an Invisalign consultation during my checkup... when I didn't even ask about Invisalign and my teeth are fine. He was very pushy and tells me "you have great insurance! It will only be $2000 out of pocket and you can do payments!" When I told his receptionist I need time to think about it since it's pricy and I've never had a dentist tell me I even need Invisalign before, she told me "the offer is only until tomorrow!" Which made me realize they're hustling me and wanting to sell me something I don't need instead of looking out for my best interests. Then the worst part- Dr Foroutan told me I had a small cavity so I had to come back to get it filled. He never even showed me the X-ray where it is or which tooth it is. I wanted a second opinion and called my other dentist who recommended that I have Dr Foroutan's office email over the X-rays. However, the receptionist at Dr Foroutan wasn't nice about sending over my X-rays to another office and told me not to come back if I go to another dentist! Sure enough, at the other dentist they told me I definitely don't even need Invisalign and the office probably knew I would find out I was being duped once I went to another dentist! She didn't judge me for my previous dental hygiene mistakes and gave me solid advice. The whole time she was cleaning she was super supportive. She chatted me beforehand and is such a fun interesting person as well. Martina, the receptionist, is awesome. I was traveling when I had to make the appointment and she was so flexible on tracking down my information and making plans with me. I really felt like Dr. Foroutan gave me an honest and detailed view of everything. He told me about all the potential changes I could make in the future and gave me his honest opinion of the options. Plus I got a fancy free toothbrush.
