I have been to Seattle Massage Oasis many times over this summer of 2010 and I have had a very good experience. Mine were therapeutic and medically necessary and I felt the time spent doing intake evaluations were lengthy and thorough and there was followup every time and re-eval each time, and the massages received from both Erica and Aileen who is an RN and MA in Public Health as well, were outstanding, very helpful and did not aggravate other existing conditions (important for me). Such a great experience! Rielle is amazing - she is your girl if you want an outstanding deep tissue massage. She was so good at taking time to get to know me prior to the massage so she could ensure that she was addressing the problem areas and then checking in throughout the massage as well. Didn't work for me. Maybe it was just a bad match between me and Patty. After the massage, what made me feel additionally bad was that she said: sometimes it is really hard to help. I am sorry for being a bad patient. I had a very bad neck pain, and hoped to get some help. It also took forever for her to start the massage. I waited in the room for at least 15 minutes. I rode my motorcycle from San Francisco allll the way up to Seattle in ONE DAY. Insane yes, but even more insane on a torcher device that is my Ducati. I've been experiencing some really bad back pain due to intense muscle spasms for the past 3 months to the point where I had to go the ER and was prescribed some muscle relaxers, which only provided temporary relief. I am 7 months pregnant and was desperately in need for a massage. I've been traveling a lot for work and am visiting from NYC. My husband booked me a massage online at Seattle Massage Oasis not realizing that he didn't book a prenatal massage. When I arrived, I found out that the massage therapist was not a certified prenatal masseuse. For those of you who are not aware, there are certain pressure points that you must avoid while pregnant. Well, the massage therapist did not feel comfortable giving me a prenatal massage, which I completely respected, and like any hormonal pregnant woman would do, I cried. I am giving Seattle Massage Oasis 5 stars for the way they treated me. The lady behind the desk and Courtney, the massage therapist were so sweet. Courtney ended up giving me a 10 min shoulder massage and taught me a few exercises to help correct my posture. That 10 min massage was one of the best I've ever had. Even though I didn't get the massage I was hoping for, I left with a smile. I wish I was staying in Seattle longer where I could have rescheduled a prenatal massage. She always does a very thorough evaluation and is great at treating both injuries as well as basic relaxation. So, I was in town for a conference.... i was just in town for a conference this past week and decided to treat myself to a massage at the conclusion. I am a long-time sufferer of upper back tension and knots (office worker). I researched "best massage" in Seattle and discovered this establishment and boy, am I glad I did! Patti is a wonderful masseuse. She worked me from head to toe and worked out tension in areas I did not even know I had. I would definitely say she offers a therapeutic message which is the best, in my opinion. She was wonderful because she allowed me to rest (read, doesn't talk too much) but you can tell she is fun...I chose a lotion which had an island smell so she switched her Pandora station to "hawaiian" to give me an island experience :). Her establishment is located on the water so you feel comfortable from the get go. There isn't much more to say about her than she is awesome and I wish I lived in Seattle to see her on a regular basis. One tip: if she has her dog with her, let her bring the dog in the room. I wish I remembered the dog's name but he was a very good boy and just slept on the floor. The only disappointment I can say I had was that the dog didn't add an extra set of paws for the massage--yes, this last part if a joke. Definitely recommend! read more

Never again. I foolishly apologized to Patti for arriving exactly at my appointment time instead of a little early. She then proceeded to talk to a client on the phone for nearly 15 minutes while I waited. I neglected to write my social security number on her billing form and she refused to give a massage because of it. This after I had provided my insurance billing information and primary care physician referral. Anyone knows that using the SSN in cases like this is asking to have it fall into the wrong hands at some point and risk identity theft. I tried to offer alternative security but she would have none of it. So I lost an hour of my day, a parking fee, and now I have to search again. All over an unreasonable policy from someone who doesn't have a clue about customer service. Stress relief? More like a stress factory. read more
