Been in search of a top notch back massage and thanks to Yelp I found Seattle Massage Oasis! Patti had availability on a Sunday afternoon so I took it. About a week before my appointment she notified me asking if we could adjust the appointment time. No, problem at all with that and I appreciated the communication. On my way to the city for my appointment I came across heavy traffic and ended up arriving 8 minutes late. Patti was very understanding...Sorry Patti :) Once parked I made my way into the studio. Patti greeted me with a smile and went over my chart. Once I told her about my problem areas she gave me a moment to get settled in and she went to wash her hands. After a difficult laparoscopic surgery with multiple complications two weeks ago (Jan 28, 2021), on top of a full chest masculinization surgery in August of 2020, AND several years worth of untreated damage to my shoulders, I've been in quire a bit of pain! My doctor recommended a deep tissue massage for the pain, so I came to Oasis. Rielle was simply phenomenal!!! Not only was her massage a deeply relaxing and healing experience, she was able to identify the areas in which my muscle had atrophied, and fascia build up around my clavicle that's become pretty severe. After ages of being told I was "too young to have chronic pain" and to "just take ibuprofen" by multiple doctors, I finally have some real relief and answers! I made sure to book two more sessions with Rielle, and get my fiance an appointment too. If you have any kind of body injury or pain, I HIGHLY recommend seeing Rielle at Oasis! She's amazing at working with the body, and is keen on making sure you're comfortable, relaxed and not in any pain. I ended up purchasing the arnica balm she used on my shoulders and an arnica bath soak as well- together we're working on treating this pain I've been so hindered by for so long! After making my chronic lower back pain worse with a bad twist at work, a friend sent me in to see Patti for a massage and see if it helped. Sadly, I cannot say at the time that it took care of any of the pain, but through Patti's amazing skills, I left there and immediately noticed I was no longer limping! I've had a limp for years more than I can even remember, since even before my back pain challenges. It wasn't even on my radar as far as concerns or things that might have been alleviated through massage therapy. Having a little thing like that gone, made me feel a little more 'normal', which is something we tend to take for granted until we don't have it anymore. So despite the stubborn pain in my back, I still felt ten times better just knowing that at least it didn't show as much. It might be silly to some, but it means the world to me! It's been about 3 weeks since that visit, and my limp is still gone except for after a hard day at work and my lower back pain is improving, probably partially from no longer limping! I've seen Patti a couple times for deep tissue work, and would not hesitate to book time with her again next time I need sorted out. As a hypermobile circus artist, my body can be challenging to work on; she does a fantastic job undoing the knots and snarls. I found Seattle Massage Oasis on Yelp from good reviews. I needed to get in asap to get a back massage. My upper back, neck and shoulder blades were so bad I was in so much pain and had trouble moving/turning my neck. Had an hour massage with Patti and she worked her magic!! She worked out every kink in my back/neck. It was not a peaceful massage but I came in for a reason and left feeling SO MUCH BETTER! I have been able to move and feel normal every since! Super Disappointed. After all the good reviews.... When I called, I asked Patti for a deep tissue massage that could really work to break down my muscle fibers. I'm on the athletic side so stiffness and tight muscles are a problem. She said "no problem". While getting the massage, I can best characterize it as a medium to light rubbing action. On a pain scale, I'd give it about a 1 out of 10. Just as a reference, all the other deep tissue massages that I've had range around 8 or 9. When I mentioned that I didn't think it was very deep and hinted that it might be more effective to go a little deeper and also that I could tolerate more force, she pretty much blew off all my suggestions. Massage Rating 2/10 : it felt about 20% of what all my other previous experiences with other people. Attitude Rating 4/10: maybe she was preoccupied, I'm giving her the benefit of the doubt, but she definitely didn't care about helping me much at the time. I also asked about the tightness of my muscles and she only gave me vague responses that weren't helpful like, "it's hard to say, because it's different from person to person." And that was it. Anyway, maybe she had an off day, but I felt I just wasted both my time and money. I'm just hoping it was a combination of her massage style and a totally off day, it was super disappointing though. read more

Seattle Massage Oasis is located in a business park on Westlake Avenue in Seattle. They have small front desk/reception area and one treatment room. I had a 60-minute massage with Bryan that helped worked out some of the soreness in my neck and shoulders. Bryan said he had been practicing massage for one or two years, I don't remember exactly. During the massage Bryan did a good job asking about my day to day and suggesting ways I could stretch more or things I could do to help reduce my aches and pains. The massage itself was a different style than I was used to, it was more therapeutic, working out the aches and going deeper into the muscles versus a more relaxing style massage, which is why I may not have enjoyed it as much. After reading all of the great reviews about Patti I'd hope she would be able to treat me, but unfortunately she was unavailable. Overall I had a good experience but the massage was far from the best I've ever had. read more

Angie is amazing! I came here after tweaking my neck/back in a workout class. After there was still residual pain a month later, I decided to get a massage. I'm so glad that I found Angie. I left feeling like a new person after just an hour with her. She can get deep into the muscle with heavy pressure but it was still relaxing and I even fell asleep a couple times. After an injury of a broken toe and having an altered gait and limping for seven weeks by wearing a boot. I never would have realized how something like that can really take a toll and mess up your back and neck. I was in severe pain with bad headaches. I was referred to Patti by Jaffer Barlos my chiropractor. Patti is truly incredible, she's very intuitive and she felt right into my pain and really gave the much needed relief and got rid of a headache on my first visit to her. She does great deep tissue and she is extremely sweet and funny. I loved the very peaceful and serene very Zen like office on the water on Westlake Union, it's beautiful and relaxing. I also had the great experience of having a massage by John at Oasis, it was the most effective massage I have ever had in my life. He does a really cool and interesting mixture of deep tissue and Thai massage, great combination and extremely wonderful massage! He made my boulder knots into non pain shoulders and neck again!! She started by getting to understand the nature of the injury and made the appropriate recommendations. She used trigger points to release all of my tension; my stiff neck and shoulder started moving again. I received a gift certificate for a massage and scheduled with Rielle last week. I've had several massages in the past to compare to and this was hands down the best deep tissue I've had.
