As a level one meditation student, I have found the guided meditations and course instruction to be more beneficial than years of therapy in terms of providing insight into the causes of suffering and showing the way toward a peace of mind. I cannot recommend the free meditation courses highly enough. For the individual who is either brand new to or familiar with Buddhist teaching, the monastery offers an accessible and welcoming learning environment. It is indeed a refuge for those interested in deepening their understanding of wholesome and liberating teachings of the Buddha. The monastery will soon be in transition with a large renovation project starting in the Fall of 2019. In the meantime, it is beautiful and meticulously cared for. Warm lighting and clean, open spaces positively glow with elegant fabrics, inspiring and tasteful Buddhist statues, plants and flowers. The Buddha Jewel monastery is a blessed refuge of sanity, calm and quiet dignity in a chaotic secular world. I can't believe how fortunate we are to have this place located in Shoreline! If you don't live nearby, it is well worth the drive to attend the well-prepared and thoughtfully presented classes. If I had to describe the Buddha Jewel monastery facility and community in one word it would be "integrity". Care and thought and consideration abound in all aspects of the community outreach and education.

I have been doing TM twice a day now for almost a month. It has greatly helped me. I was a little skeptical at first. When I first walked into the office I noticed the smell of smoke which kind of grossed me out. The smell is from incents they burn during brief ceremonies. When it was time for my ceremony, I asked the instructor to put it out because I could not stand the smell of smoke. He immediately put it out and did the ceremony without the smoke. I highly recommend this place to learn the TM process. I had a little anxiety about sitting still with my eyes closed but I powered through and feel much better today after going through the classes.

The New Bindi! Gorgeous! Thinking of coming back after a…read moregood hour practice of Vinyasa, it feels like home to me. Anna taught the class and hit home for my husband and me. It was refreshing as we both searched for our muscles and balance. A little shaky at first but every move felt very familiar and humbling. We both enjoyed the class. As for the interactions? Felt like home. We saw some very familiar faces. We had missed each other and then some. It was good energy, good vibes. The interior looks amazing! It's warm and welcoming. Colors are very soothing and very friendly to look at. I recommend. For now, it seems a small space but I know it will grow in time. The most important thing is keeping the practice , stay consistent and disciplined. We have wonderful teachers to practice with. My favorite part.

My view on Yoga and exercise have taken a 180 turn, and that is due to Ce and her classes. Ce is so patient and makes sure that I am in the right positions; I have found that I have gained flexibility and that I'm never bored with the Yoga classes. Cecilia works hard to make every class different and focus on different areas of the body. Not only have I lost weight and gained muscle tone, but Ce is helping me correct bad posture, and strengthen muscles I have never used. Cecilia gives special care and attention to every client, and her friendly and calming nature makes her classes somewhere I want to be; I am enjoying exercise for the first time. I really like that Cecilia uses many different formats and props in her classes, such as TRX, exercise ball, Tye4, etc. The classes are smaller so that you get personal attention and can easily see her demonstrate each pose and exercise.
