Vanhousing's estimator showed up on time, asked good questions, wasn't pushy, and seemed to legitimately care about understanding the scope and what we were looking to achieve. Their bid was competitive and I had a good deal of faith in their ability to provide a great experience given what I'd read in other reviews. Vlad and his team ended up having to work through a multitude of challenges in order to deliver the end result that we enjoyed. I received constant professional communication (day, night, weekend) when things weren't going well (outside of their control) and what they were doing to resolve. They thoroughly owned resolving each obstacle instead of pushing it back to me to work out. This involved buying different kinds of paint and performing tests -- I even got a video of the test results to illustrate my options. Its obvious that this company cares a great deal about providing 5 star experiences. Its that additional amount of work that they did which has me so enthusiastic about referring them to anyone needing painting done (commercial or residential.)

Arnoldo was our first project painting lead, his skill is unparalleled- watching him paint or come up with a painting solution for a tricky area is astounding. Adrian M was our most recent painting lead, and he is focused, efficient and clearly works very hard (the guy runs fast but is very professional in everything he does) and has a level of skill that is unmatched. Everyone is polite, respectful of our home and friendly. Phinney Ridge is tidy and clean, they take feedback well when things aren't quite perfect, and they are timely and efficient, and they solve problems. The cost and quality are commensurate, their experience is well evidenced and they always have solutions for tricky old house problems, plus a great warranty. I would happily hire again, and we plan to when the time comes to paint the exterior of our house in another year or two.

It turned out to be an easy fix so they took care of it on the spot, free of charge. They even insisted on cleaning up the little plastic bits that came off the window during the repair (even though I told them I could take care of it). Fingers crossed that I won't need to repair or replace any other windows soon, but if I do I'd definitely go back to Seattle Glass and Window.

I ordered a single sliding glass door, and it took approximately 178 days--nearly six months--to have it correctly installed. The original installation included the wrong door, and the installers also damaged the fixed panel. What made the experience even more frustrating was the repeated failure to honor scheduled appointments. Multiple times, the company scheduled and confirmed service visits, only to never show up or communicate that they weren't coming. Each time, I had to move furniture, remove window coverings, clear access to the door, and rearrange my schedule, only to do it all over again for the next appointment. This level of service is simply unacceptable. If you're looking for Milgard products, I would recommend Sound View Windows or Lundgren Enterprises instead. Based on my experience, they offer much better customer service, often at the same or even a lower price.

We first learned about Wise Choice through Yelp, and although we were initially nervous about choosing a contractor for such a large job (they gave us the best estimate, by far!) without a personal recommendation, we couldn't be happier with our decision. They were great to work with throughout the entire process, from architectural and engineering plans, permitting, and the actual construction. The project manager, Sergiy, and foreman, Bogdan, were very honest, helpful, and responsive every step of the way. The project was completed pretty much on budget (with only a couple of unforeseen issues outside of their control) and on time. We love the results, and several people have commented that the addition looks like it should have been there all along. We can't recommend Wise Choice highly enough!

The workmanship of the…read morefinished deck exceeded our expectations, and every person we encountered was pleasant to work with. Our project was the installation of an 8' x 11' elevated attached deck. I had whittled my initial list of contractors down to six before choosing All Decks. Cost was competitive but was not the lowest bid. This was the third deck in this location. The previous two were wood. This time we chose to have a composite deck installed, to not have a stairway, and to have the area underneath the deck protected from rain. As this was an elevated deck, it was covered by municipal code requirements more stringent than when the previous two decks were built. We worked with Adam during our initial contact, and in designing the deck. We chose Dekorator planking, Trex handrails, and the Trex RainEscape system. We wanted to minimize supporting posts, as a competing bid would have used 6 posts, and we had seen decks on houses like ours that had 5 to 6 posts. All Decks was able to use only 2 posts by having larger-size (6"x6") posts and by attaching one side of the deck to our cantilevered 2nd floor. The All Decks showroom was extremely helpful in choosing materials and colors, and in evaluating the RainEscape system relative to alternative underdeck rain coverings. Kendall did thorough work when he visited to do the detailed yard survey required by code. The level of detail in the resulting documents was unexpected and illuminating. The three-man team led by Chris who put up the deck was professional and unobtrusive. A special challenge was attaching one side of the deck to our cantilevered 2nd floor as the current municipal code requires an exceptionally robust connection. Installing this connection required removing several plank-and-tongue grooves from under the overhang of the cantilevered 2nd floor, which is very difficult without causing damage. I was skeptical that it could be done and was pleasantly surprised to see the excellent appearance of the re-installed planking. (As expected, I repainted the reinstalled planks myself.) As for the steel-bar-reinforced concrete footings, Chris meticulously set their height so as to enable the potential future installation of a ground-level deck made from pavers. The gentleman who delivered and picked up materials and the portable toilet was discreet and careful. Crystle ensured smooth communications for scheduling, billing, etc. We are very satisfied with the All Decks team and their work.

They were affordable, knowledgeable, and very willing to work with my needs and my budget. They were able to obtain the permits that were needed which is an important and valuable service. They also took care of the structural engineering that was needed to make sure that we had sufficient support for the deck. Their showroom is very helpful. There are samples and some mockups of decks, railings, lighting, etc. There are lots of options and the staff was great about explaining the options but not pressure-upselling. I felt comfortable choosing the materials and extras with their help. After the project was finished, there was one support post that didn't look finished to me when I looked at it from our dining room window. All Decks was great about coming out. After seeing and understanding what I wanted to upgrade, they were able to install a matching trim piece that made the post look complete. The deck has been installed now since Oct 2024. It still looks great and I couldn't be happier.

I highly recommend working with Jose! I have worked with a number of contractors and Jose was a cut above the rest. Jose was a pleasure to work with: he is prompt in his communication, is very reliable and did an EXCELLENT job drywalling our two rooms and garage. I could tell right away that Jose would do good work because he immediately removed his shoes before entering our house (we are a no shoes house) and was very careful to keep our home clean, even as he completed the work. He finished the job early and has high attention to detail, which shows in his work. I cannot recommend Jose highly enough. This is a belated review for Jose and Tomas for a job done in February. We bought a 1970s era home with those awful popcorn ceilings. We contacted Jose and he quickly came out to give us bid--about 20% less than the other company we contacted. They removed the popcorn, put on the more modern looking orange peel finish throughout the whole house, and then painted the top floor of the house (I opted to paint the rest of the ceilings myself to save a bit of money--boy do I regret that decision!). The job was done well and quickly (less than the two weeks promised). They took excellent care with our home. I had a small complaint about some leftover popcorn along the top of the fireplace and they immediately took care of it. I would certainly call again for other work. read more

I am so happy that I chose Jose at Seattle Painting to re-paint my new house. I needed the house painted ASAP, luckily, Jose was able to start within two days. Jose also removed a popcorn ceiling in my living and dining rooms and removed wallpaper in another room. Jose was prompt in returning all calls and showed up when he said he would. Do not hesitate to hire Seattle Painting. Jose and his crew are true professionals. I was kept informed during the whole process. The house was power washed and allowed five days to dry completely. Starting with scraping, priming, caulking and ending with painting, it was completed in four days, the house, 2 decks and a large covered entry way. Mother Nature was on our side. No rain - the day after it was finished, Jose stopped and asked me to walk around the house to make sure nothing was missed. That day it started to drizzle. We needed our deck refurbished (scraped, sanded, stained) in a hurry for a special occasion and his crew did it all in one day at a very reasonable price. The 3 guys put in a long day (12 hours) but got it done, working really really hard. We are very pleased with the quality of work, quick availability, and easy communication with Jose. They thoroughly owned resolving each obstacle instead of pushing it back to me to work out. This involved buying different kinds of paint and performing tests -- I even got a video of the test results to illustrate my options. Its obvious that this company cares a great deal about providing 5 star experiences. Three days after pressure-washing the house, they started prep work, taping the windows & around fixtures, removing the downspouts, scraping off old caulking, etc. The following day painting began. Due to some rain, the job was completed 1 day later than estimated, but they did what they could. The job took 1/2 day for pressure washing and 5 days to prep and paint. The crew was great, arriving early or on time each day and really working hard making sure they did everything properly. They even put back big potted plants that had to be moved, which I really appreciated. Jorge came by the work site each day to make sure things were going smoothly and answer any questions I had. He identified an issue that others had missed, which was necessary and would require the entire bedroom to be painted. They also textured a portion of a wall that needed attention after a roof leak. They did a flawless job with multiple coats of priming, patching and painting the beams and returned a couple weeks latter to sand, "mud" and repaint a few small bubbles that arose in the curing process.
