Removed popcorn ceiling, removed wallpaper, and cleaned up in preparation for me to start experimenting with colors. Excellent work. Really glad I called Jose. No nonsense estimate, they came out and did the work using a lock box (building policy), only needing to meet me the first morning. I was at a hotel and working long days and it was the perfect week to schedule it. My biggest concern was the radiant heat under the popcorn ceiling, below the sheet rock. Super delicate, like a weird electric tube with a coil in it. Cut it and the whole system doesn't work. They took care of it - no damage. These guys did a helluva job in some very high and awkward interior spaces I couldn't have dreamed doing myself. It was especially difficult because I requested a cut to leave the ceilings white two stories up along stairways. The crew worked fast and covered absolutely everything not meant to be painted - doors, trim, grates, floors, furniture, everything. (I would have just put down a sheet of plastic and called it good, which is why I'm not a professional painter...) They also fixed up any nail holes, removed and patched screws, and generally made sure the walls were in good shape before painting. Pricing was reasonable and competitive, slightly above my other quotes, but I felt more comfortable with Jose than others. 100% the right choice. A few extra bucks can go a long way. Jose and his crew just completed 2 weeks worth of work at our new rental property and we couldn't be more pleased with the results. The scope of work they completed for us was: A complete skimming of all walls in a 2 story older home with thick and outdated texture. Multiple areas of drywall patching and matching. Just wanted to share our experience of working with Jose and his team. They did skim coating, priming and painting in our house and we can't be happier. His prices are more than reasonable and the quality of work is amazing. Considering that my husband and I are perfectionists, Jose is the most patient and customer obsessed contractor we worked with. During skim coating we had to leave the house for a week to avoid living in dust.
