Alison helped with design, material selection, taking in our feedback, and provided a more than reasonable estimate that no other contractor would have come close to. She clearly communicated the project schedule for, and she finished on time with temps going into the high 80s! Alison stayed within our budget estimate with a few minor material updates, and we felt she brought more value to the table with her attention to detail. I cannot be more pleased with her work, and I am looking to have her possibly help more in plant design for our yard with her knowledge of native plants that will be more manageable for our busy lives. Here's the bad: They've gotten very expensive at $55 per hour per gardener and require a one year contract. Your lead/contact gardener will NOT be on site while work is done. You will see gardeners on their phones while working one-handed. We have a hydrangea that borders on our neighbor's garden. The PPNW gardeners chose to prune only half of it leaving it weird looking and incomplete. Why they didn't knock on the door or call to ask if it was okay to prune the whole thing is a question unanswered by owner Shannon. Instead, she chose to cut off service to us as she felt it was rude of us to ask.

The project was to rip out the existing landscaping and install an all new landscape. The lower bids described how the would remove the old foliage. Only Roberto mentioned rototilling out the deeper roots on my steep slope. When questioned about the cost of plants, he explained he uses flowerworld. Which is who I prefer as well for value. The work started on a Monday, Roberto on that day needed the first payment, as work had started. They then worked extremely hard every day through Friday, and we're back first thing Monday morning to complete the work. There was never a question of where is Roberto's crew. One last point, Roberto has good communication skills and practices. I always felt informed and had my questions answered in a timely manner. Only one note of improvement, there is a spot behind the retaining wall that needs more rocks. Roberto said his crew would be out later this week to fix it, so I went ahead and paid the balance. I trust he'll be out later this week, I'll let you know if my trust was misplaced. I want to update this review. As expected Roberto's crew came back and exceeded expectations. The filled in the spots that needed rock, watered the plants for us, and to a blower by and cleaned up the driveway, sidewalk, and anything else they could find to do. 6 stars ...

We've since moved and were just starting to look for someone to mow our new yard, so I responded and I said that I would like a quote for the maintenance and I'd take that complimentary lawn mowing service (and then update my review). We scheduled a time when he could meet my husband and give us a quote. He showed! Unfortunately, that's about all I can say. He was supposed to follow up with a quote and a time for the complimentary service. It's been a month and we haven't heard back even though he now has both mine and my husband's contact information.

We had called up 5 companies and all got different bids. Jay was able to match the price we had and give us a few arborvitae to get us to choose his company. His team was very respectful and worked efficiently; the quality of work they did was really great. The work we got done was not small either but they finished in very realistic and quick timeline. Excavation, retention wall, paver patio, stairs, turf, and gravel were done by their team and they even leveled the gravel so I could place my raised garden bed on it. I love my backyard so much and have JM Landscaping to thank for it.

It took them over a month to take care of overgrown shrubs that were spilling into walkways and curbs, and overgrown trees that hugged the side of my building (I guess they don't believe in rot) and the kicker here is they are contracted to come every week. They ignored months of overgrown greenery around the property and after a month & a half of escalations, they finally came over and took care of it. They're also not upfront about the damages they've made & will only fix if you call them out on it. If their rates are competitive, think about what you're paying for. I heard they require a minimum of 48 weeks of service, which is pricey considering their lackluster capabilities and skills. However, if you want your place to look like a jungle & you want things done a month a half later, then definitely go with this business.

Gerardo showed up, chatted with me about what I wanted, took measurements, and gave me a bid on the spot. I was moving into a house I was rehabbing and needed a portion of this fence done right away because I have a dog and he hustled to not only build the new portion I needed, but went out of his way to do some repairs on the existing fence to keep my dog safe and secure. He and the people working for him showed a lot of attention to detail, checked in with me often about the project to make sure it was coming along and looking as I expected, and every day at the end of the day the work site was clean and organized. They sent me a very lengthy message. Whoever was responding, was in the field and took time out to respond and didnt like that I had not done my due diligence. They told me that the market has changed and they need their customers to do some research. Then they gave me an arbutrary deadline to join a COMPLIMENTARY 10min call. The number of red flags in 1 message exchange. First of all, if you are in the field don't respond to the message or hire someone who can do it without getting upset that their customer do not know what they need.
