It can be quite a challenge to have furniture/large items removed while living in downtown Seattle, but Seattle Rubbish Removal made it a piece of cake! We had a 20 year old couch and sleeper loveseat (read: super heavy) that we were replacing, so I called a week before to see if I could arrange disposal of the items after we had no success trying to give the items away. Fantastic customer service! Seattle Rubbish Removal was extremely responsive with my questions over the messaging in Yelp. It was easy to book an appointment over the phone, and I only need 3-4 days advanced notice. Movers called 20 minutes in advance as a notice. When the 2 movers got to my place, they gave me a very accurate quote and immediately started moving stuff out. Movers were friendly, knew how to best move things out of my apartment complex and were efficient in carrying all the bulky things. They only took 35 minutes in total to move everything from my 300sq ft studio and for me to pay by credit card. You are also able to tip through the credit card payment system. Overall I paid $200 (including 20% tip). I had a twin bed, mattress, a standing desk, 3 Ikea shelves, 2.5 chairs, 2 medium bags of tupperware/kitchen goods, and 4 medium bags of miscellaneous stuff, 1 bag of garbage. If you need to get rid of furniture pieces and miscellaneous things that you can't bring with you, I would highly recommend this business. read more
